I have just attended a social event to decorate eggs for an Easter celebration with other relatives of residents at Warrengate. There was a lovely friendly convivial atmosphere. Staff were joining in and there was a great deal of laughter and excitement. This is typical of many such events I have
attended with my wife over the last 18 months. There has always been copious refreshments , well chosen music and in some cases live entertainment.
My wife is very well settled and her personal care needs are attended to in a very professional and sensitive manner. Her cognitive and mobility skills are very limited but staff are always seeking to maximise them and keep her comfortable .
All other aspects of the home s management is first rate I cant recommend it highly enough
I am so pleased she was able to be accommodated there when her previous .residence was unable to cope
It is a huge ongoing relief for me

Mum has been in Warrengate since October 2016. The length of time is a testament to the excellent care that she receives from the amazing and dedicated staff. Nothing is too much effort for them, they always make sure she's eating and drinking and we've often walked round the corner to her room to
find a staff member blowing kisses to her at her door. The home is always spotless and they are always coming up with new activities and entertainment for the residents.

I don't thank them enough, but we're incredibly grateful for everything the manager and their team do. Having pushed our limits to care for my father at home, we completely understand that it 'isn't easy'. It became impossible for us. My father was an extraordinary and accomplished man that fell
victim to a severe stroke, leading to dementia. His behaviours can now be very challenging, out of character, and requiring assistance for the most basic of tasks/needs. Ironically, he was once a mental-health nurse.
Although the staff know little of his past and have no experience of his caring/welcoming demeanour, they consistently treat him respectfully, professionally, and with patience. Dignity intact.
I hope they realise how much they're valued by the families and the wider community, who understand the importance of their work. It's reassuring to know that in a world as unfair as ours, there are noble people who are caring for our fallen, and treating them with dignity and respect.

My mother was admitted to Warrengate a week ago. All the team have been attentive looking after
my mums need. Our family has had time with the staff to ensure everyone is working together.
Thank you Warrengate for ensuring my mum's first week has gone smoothly.

Mum has been at Warrengate for a number of years now and is very happy there and treated very well. The staff are lovely. Mum is bed ridden so doesn't go out of her bedroom, they have recently provided a larger TV for her which is great as she hasn't got the best eyesight or hearing and can now
see and hear it much better. Her room is lovely and overlooks the garden, trees and birds with a bird feeder on her window which has constant little visitors to keep her entertained. She is fed well and looked after making sure she gets enough fluids and has her tablets. Her room and her are always in a clean and tidy state.
Can't thank Warrengate enough for the care they provide her.

My mum has been at Warrengate since September last year. This was following a breakdown in her previous placement who did not effectively manage her dementia behaviours resulting in her being sectioned. Understandably as a family we were very worried about future care at that point.
We are so
thankful that we were then able to get our mum into Warrengate. The difference in care from her previous home is night and day. The carers at Warrengate are so in tune with their patients, many who exhibit behaviours that challenge at times (not least my mum!). The staff go above and beyond, creating as many enrichment opportunities as they can and are always engaged with their residents. We see time and again the staff meeting residents where they are and interacting with them in a compassionate way. The staff seem to have very good working relationships with each other as well and many have been there for years I am told.
I could go on but I am running out of space!

The Warrengate team are amazing, I can't praise them highly enough. They are all so kind and gentle with mum, and always so welcoming when dad and I go to visit. The team are very attentive to mum's needs, and good at keeping me informed of any changes in her health or behaviour which is reassuring.
The property is spotless and well maintained, and has a beautiful garden for the residents and their families to enjoy. Mum has Alzheimer's and it's been a difficult journey, but she is very well looked after and seems very content at Warrengate which is a great comfort.

I am so grateful for the care and support Warrengate give to my wife, who has dementia. They are kind, caring and provide a safe 'home from home' for her. The staff and management are lovely and very supportive, both to my wife as a resident and also to our visiting family members. No task or
request is too much and they are incredibly thoughtful, friendly and compassionate.
I am also incredibly grateful for the extra time I am having with my wife that we would not have had if she had remained in hospital after an illness. Thank you, Warrengate, I cannot recommend you enough.

We are extremely happy with Warrengate. The care they provide is excellent and focused upon the residents and the staff communicate and keep the resident's family fully informed on all matters. There is a friendly welcome and staff are always happy to help and provide support. The ratio of staff to
residents appears to be high and there have been a number of interactive activities and events for the residents and the families were welcome and encouraged to attend. My father has settled in well within the home and his care is outstanding, he is encouraged and participates to the best of his ability in as many activities as he can.

The staff at the care home are wonderful. They treat my mother with dignity and respect. This helps to make me feel she is safe and in a place where people genuinely care about her - this was particularly important over the last few years when I was not able to see her as often as I would have liked
due to covid.

Warrengate Nursing Home has looked after my mum for 18 months. I feel extremely lucky that Mum got placed here. They have managed her challenging behaviour expertly and have treated Mum, despite her aggression, with compassion. The communication to keep me updated has been professional and timely.
They have made visiting with restrictions as easy as possible and all staff always made me feel very welcome. Now we can go inside I have found the home to be a happy and inviting environment, especially the garden. When I have unexpectedly requested to visit Mum's room it has been spotless and the clothes etc very tidy. Whilst all the staff are dedicated and hardworking, I particularly want to mention the activities team. They are brilliant. Always lots going on and when I’ve spoken to them they show they know Mum really well. Mum has gained weight so I can see the food is good also. Hope this review helps someone making a difficult decision.
