View Full Details of Bryher Court Nursing HomeI can't praise Bryher Court Nursing home enough. The care my sister has received since being a resident in the home from the nursing staff, housekeepers, health care assistants, caterers & admin staff has been great all round. My sister is truly happy, in an amazing room, with round the clock care if needed. The gardens are lovely to sit out in to enjoy the sun. Afternoon tea & cake & the living room is there to sit & chat with some of the other residents if she so wished. There is a choice of food, to suit all dietary needs. It's always a worry when looking for nursing homes, as a family we are so very happy, that our sister has settled & is happy too in her new home. Thank you all at Bryher Court.
Highly recommend this nursing home, my Sister is very well cared for, excellent staff nothing is to much trouble & they are so kind, very clean and a nice choice of menu, my Sister thoroughly enjoys the roast beef for Sunday lunch! Her room is very spacious with lovely views I'm so pleased we chose this outstanding home, it's like home from home.
My Dad has been in this nursing home now for six months and he, my whole family and I, feel so very lucky to have found this home for him. From the moment we first walked in six months ago, we knew that this was the right place for him because we were immediately struck by the wonderful welcome afforded to us by the staff, and the friendly and very warm atmosphere that pervaded the whole place. Dad has felt truly cared for by every member of staff, and he knows the name of each of them! I visit my Dad everyday so I truly know that he is well cared for, and I can't thank the staff, the management, the nursing and indeed the catering staff enough. Knowing that Dad is so well cared for gives me, and my brothers and sisters such comfort and peace of mind. Thank you all at this marvellous nursing home!
Staff from the management to carers are extremely helpful in all aspects of their dedicated work. We were always greeted by a member of the management team and well informed on the current health of my father. My father's room is very airy with plenty of natural light, he has at his disposal all his needs. Recently we requested help for a minor medical need , a nurse came immediately and assisted my father. My Dad loves the staff and they also are very respectful of him. Although not seen by my father I have witnessed the activity staff in their roll. The residents all appeared to be enjoying the play roll of the staff who were very cheerful. I did join in one game whilst my father was being attended to by a nurse.Yes we had a laugh. Food seemed plentiful but not always liked by my Dad.
My Grandfather is well looked after here by the attentive and caring staff who are polite and friendly. Bryher Court is clean and well kept, and the home cooked food is popular. Our family were concerned about choosing a care home when Grandad needed full time care, however we have no such concerns now that he is settled. Thank you to all staff members for what you do!
As a family we are so pleased that Dad is in such fantastic caring hands. The staff are so attentive to all Dads needs. The quality of food is nutritionally balanced and if any choice of Dads is not suitable they are quick to find a suitable alternative. Dad's medical care his personal requirements and hygiene is paramount to the staff and always at the forefront of his care. An excellent care home, facilities, staff and all round care.
The local hospital told us that we needed to choose a nursing home for my father-in-law as soon as, and we set off that same day with a list of local ones. Being at the top of the list we went to this one first. Having been to a few over the years, what with my own close relatives, and those of close friends, where, to be honest, I wouldn't have left a pet to be looked after, let alone someone dear to me, I was quite fearful of what I might discover. I needn't have worried because I was absolutely knocked off my feet as soon as I entered Bryher Court. The staff were smiling, the residents I saw looked very happy and content, the hallways and rooms were well decorated and so clean, cheery notices were on the walls, there were flowers in vases, and everywhere smelt so good; it was like everybody's idea of a home! After just a few moments I was whispering into my wife's wear "Say Yes! Take it! This is a great place!" She did and her Dad has been here now for 6 months and he adores it!
The team here have been brilliant with grandad. The home is like a small family & are super supportive. Every need of his catered for. Thank you for being so attentive & caring.
We have found all the employees very helpful and knowledgable, and they perform a difficult job with the upmost professionalism and in a happy manner. They are very welcoming to myself and my wife when we visit. We have seen a marked improvement in both Mums physical and mental health, and for that we thank the home and the staff. The social interaction of the residents is a key part of this, and the two young ladies who create and implement the activities are worth a special mention. Thankyou all.
The standard of care my step father received was of a very high standard. The care, compassion and dignity given was amazing! Staff were so caring and we were always contacted when we had questions regarding my step father's health & wellbeing. We felt so supported as a family. Room was always clean and bed linen was always clean & fresh! The facilities within the nursing home were brilliant but unfortunately we didn't get to use. Special attention was given around birthday & anniversary's, this was so appreciated as we knew as a family they would possibly be the last! Seeing the fireworks from my stepfather's room was very special and won't be forgotten.. Food & drink was very good and there was no problem changing afew things so my stepfather could enjoy the tastes of foods he enjoyed. We felt very safe that we could leave my stepfather in your hands when we couldn't be there. Just keep doing what you're all doing, would I recommend, YES! Thankyou .. Thankyou
I would like thank all the staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home for their patience support and compassion in caring for my mum and our family during my mum's last days before her passing. The staff are amazing and we cannot thank them enough on the care that they give on a day to day basis.
Thank you for looking after my mother for the last six weeks. Amazing, friendly staff, we were very impressed with the level of care she received. She felt safe and comfortable during her stay. Thank you, keep up the good work.
I and the family are very pleased with the care given to my sister at Bryher Court Nursing Home. The staff are endlessly patient with her and she seems to be very happy there, having been a resident for three and a half years. She couldn't be better looked after and we are so grateful for the kind treatment that my sister receives at Bryher Court. (She is unfortunately unable to partake in any activities hence the 'don't know' rating).
My mother was moved under a free 'discharge to assess' scheme from hospital. She spent seven and a half weeks in a second-floor room with a high window she could not look out from - so could only see the sky. The lift was next to her room and it made the floor shake. She kept asking about all the doors that were banging (fire exit doors for staff to go between floors). She was very frail and unable to take part in any activities. Thankfully, her daily carers and the nurses did their best to raise her spirits. I decided to move her nearer to family where she had a ground-floor room with a view. She is still immobile but can now be put into a wheelchair and recliner! Her general interest has now returned. Thanks to staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home.
Treated my dad with respect and kindness for his end-of-life care. My dad was kept clean, and the room was always spotless. I got a great feeling from all of the staff that I met whilst he was being cared for, and can't thank them enough for their kindness in his last few weeks of life. Would recommend this care home without hesitation.
Mum is a stroke victim, paralyzed down one side. The care at Bryher Court is excellent and appropriate. The staff are extremely caring, thoughtful, and compassionate. Mum is often moved to tears of gratefulness for their care when discussing how she is looked after. Facilities and property are old and constructed accordingly, but are always clean, hygienic, and appear well maintained. Food is exemplary and we often eat lunch with Mum in a family and homely atmosphere, and always made to feel very welcome during our visits. The atmosphere is such that we now consider many of the staff and residents our friends.
My mum has been at Bryher Court for four months now and is very happy and settled in her new surroundings. My mum came here from hospital with a grade three pressure sore which has now virtually healed. That's due to the dedication of the staff. They are excellent, very approachable, kind and caring. I can't praise the whole team enough. Thank you all.
My brother (who is dyslexic) tells me that all the staff at Bryher Court Nursing Home are wonderful - very kind and attentive. Even as a shy, insular person he was made to feel at ease. He was pleased to be able to stay in his room as he is not used to socialising. He appreciated the food choices and having freshly cooked food, a treat after his frozen convenience meals at home.
My brother has been a resident at Bryher Court for five months now, and he's settled very well into his new surroundings. All of the staff are fantastic, very people-focused and approachable, and seem genuinely happy in their roles. The environment is a friendly one, a cheerful one, and the interactions between staff and residents are plentiful and caring. My brother has improved both physically and mentally during his time at Bryher Court, and he enjoys his daily chats and interactions with the staff. As visitors, we're always welcomed and made to feel at home; we've been really pleased with our experience so far.
My aunt stayed here for six weeks between hospital and a permanent residential care home. She was looked after very well by the friendly caring staff. As she was not so well she wasn’t able to take part in many activities although was taken out for a pub lunch which she really enjoyed. I would recommend this for nursing care.
