View Full Details of Sycamore CourtMum has been a resident of Sycamore Court for almost 4 years now and whilst I have a moan now and then I have nothing but praise for how the staff look after mum and management deal with any thought or queries I may have. The staff aways greet you by name they are so friendly and genuinely care with kindness in dealing with mum's dementia in the best way they can which I know can be difficult sometimes, especially, as she is immobile and can no longer make herself understood. I visit daily so I see how this care applies to all residents and as a visitor they have supported me fully and always willing to listen to me and answer any questions I may have. The food is excellent and varied and there are choices. Activities have improved greatly over the last few years and all are encouraged to join in with sessions twice daily. I and the family are very happy that mum is living in a very caring environment, thank you.
My Partner has been at Sycamore Court for some considerable time now and I cannot rate it highly enough. All the staff treat residents with respect and the care is outstanding. The Management is very 'hands on' and maintain an open door policy. Nothing is too much trouble. My Partner is very comfortable and although he rarely takes part in the daily activities is visited by members of staff on a regular basis. The home is spotless and the food is excellent with menus changing weekly. I know my Partner is safe and well cared for and I couldn't wish for more.
My dear friend is 94 years old and she has advanced dementia. After a lot of searching we found Sycamore Court and I'm SO pleased we did! Although she now sleeps for most of the time, she is still cared for with kindness and compassion and is given as much dignity as possible. Whenever I have visited I've found evryone to be caring, knowledgeable and efficient and the whole place is always spotless. Thank you to everyone.
Sycamore Court is first and foremost a safe and comfortable environment, 'a home from home' for those who need that extra support at this stage in their lives. Whenever I visit, I never fail to be impressed by the overall cleanliness, the caring atmosphere, the friendliness and dedication of the staff. I know that my friend is safe and cared for, which was not the case prior to moving to Sycamore Court. Thankyou, very re-assuring for me.
Staff always helpful, friendly and doing their best. I was sure that my aunty was in good care whilst there. There were some obstacles to overcome with her needs but they managed so, so well and I'm so appreciative. She was also fed very well. Thank you so much for everything!
At home Mum was lonely, depressed and constantly wishing for death. Within a few weeks of attending Sycamore Court she was smiling and laughing and thinking about later in the year.she looks forward to the daily activities. The staff are friendly and supportive and help her to feel loved and needed. They support me as well. I no longer have to juggle all the plates. I know she is safe.
hard to imagine a better or well run nursing home than Sycomore Court Brighton. management and all staff so efficent and caring.place is spotlessy clean. my wife is very well looked after. nobody likes to go into a nursing home but this must rate as one of the best.
My brother seems very happy at Sycamore Court. The staff are very attentive and all his needs are met. Whilst at Sycamore Court, my brother was pleased to join me and other residents in the dining room, which is not something he normally does. The food was most acceptable, and the company was good, this made for a very enjoyable lunch.
Good overall care at Sycamore Court. Mum has dementia, health issues and is also immobile. Would appreciate more updates on her behaviour and health issues. More information on mum is always helpful.
Having moved my elderly friend into the home at short notice, I cannot fault the staff who have all been caring, supportive and helpful. My friend looks so much better and cared for since moving into the home 3 weeks ago. Any issues I have raised are being dealt with promptly and efficiently. The food is wonderful and we had table service!! I had a super lunch with my friend, will be booking to go again soon! The hairdresser did a wonderful job on my friend's hair and this will be a regular occurrence going forward. My friend's physical and mental health have improved considerably since she moved in and she always appears clean and well cared for when I visit.
I go to visit my brother-in-law annually when I return to the UK. He is getting some of the best treatment I have seen at this facility. The staff are very caring and attentive. They are always willing to help the clients there. The manager does a wonderful job as well as another particular staff member does.
My husband has been a resident at Sycamore Court for over a year now. He found it hard to settle at first but the carers and nurses have helped him a lot, and in particular, the activities staff have done their very best to include him whenever he wants to join in. At other times he is happy to watch what is going on. I am impressed with the detailed records which are kept. It is very reassuring to be able to ask how he is when I visit, and to be given exact information about his day or night. Having been his carer myself for many years it is a great relief to see him being looked after so well now that I am no longer able to cope with his condition.
I have found that Sycamore Court is really willing to listen to the resident and try to meet his/her needs as an individual. They also take time to speak with relatives. I have also found that they have a highly professional approach to personal care and general comfort while maintaining a gentle and kind manner. My brother has the care he now needs and is not as anxious as before moving to Sycamore Court. I would recommend Sycamore Court to anyone looking for residential care for their loved one.
Both my mother-in-law and father-in-law were residents. We could not have been happier with the care that they both received. The care staff are very kind and caring. I would recommend this care home.
Very kind and caring staff. All friendly and will answer any questions you may have. Very clean and warm. The meals always look very good. Hot and well presented. The only fault I can find is my friend has no radio in his room, has a TV but it doesn't work. So yesterday he was just sitting alone in his room. It made me sad. I know he does go upstairs for arts and crafts and looks at TV in main lounge and he always eats all his lunch when I'm there.
Our mum came to Sycamore Court in May, and what a breath of fresh air the team is! We are so relieved her type 1 diabetes is much better managed, and her nutrition is always taken into account. From the manager, kitchen staff, housekeeping, maintenance team, and last but not least, the healthcare team, thank you for going the extra mile to keep our mum safe and looked after. Mum had a fall and had a week in the hospital, it was such an awful experience, and we were all pleased to get Mum back to Sycamore, as we knew they would get her back on track again; she has only been back a few days, but we know she is in good hands. I am also a mother of a severely disabled adult daughter and work in palliative care, so I know the health environments quite well. This service setting is one of the best, in my opinion. Thank you.
The staff are kind and caring. They do their best every day to engage and stimulate Mum, despite the challenges of her lack of mobility and severe dementia. They are also supportive of us as a family and understand how challenging a situation it is. They create opportunities for us to be involved and are always happy to see us.
Amazing staff and so friendly, and what an amazing gathering you put on for the Christmas party for all the residents. The Christmas activities were fantastic, and the activity staff always go above and beyond to keep them entertained. The food is amazing and always fresh.
Everything about the home is excellent, My mother's room is clean and tidy, the food is very good, and the staff are very attentive and considerate. My mother is very happy at the home, which is my primary concern.
We are all very pleased with the care and attention she has received. We know she can be a little awkward at times, but she loves it there and sings its praises.
