My husband has been at Berkeley Lodge (BL) for 14 months now. I with my son and daughter looked at several homes in the Worthing area. Now, after all these months I can truly say we hit the jackpot when we found BL. All the staff without exception are helpful, considerate and respectful. Due to the
nature of the illness my husband has deteriorated and he now spends a lot of time in bed. The carers are thoughtful and kind keeping him safe, comfortable and listened to. It is a difficult and emotional decision having to place a loved one in a residential home, The staff at BL are always on hand to answer any queries/worries I might have. Although our lives have changed because of this dreadful illness I feel reassured knowing that my husband is in environment that really considers the needs of their residents and ensuring they receive the best possible care.

I'm very glad of the opportunity that my sister on right place and has professional care.

My husband has been a resident in Berkeley Lodge since the beginning of this year and although he has taken a while to settle I have found the staff well equipped to help and deal with his transition. The Home has such a nice warm atmosphere and I feel that I can approach the staff at any time if I
have any worries or queries. The care he is receiving is everything that I would wish for to make his life more comfortable and happy.

My husband has been a resident at Berkeley Lodge since Oct. 2024 and I am very satisfied with the care & support he continues to receive.
The Manager is very professional & welcoming as are the staff - all highly supportive to me and my family.
I cannot recommend this Home enough & will give it
four & a half stars!

Our overall impression is of a very well run and caring nursing home.
We regularly visit however these visits are becoming increasingly short due to our mother's condition.
Our mother is unable to communicate so we do not have a complete picture of her care currently but historically it has been
very good.

Excellent care, lovely staff from cleaners, carers, reception & nursing staff. Simply not enough adjectives to express the nursing home, I'm delighted with the overall care and most importantly keeping me updated with any issues.

My father was a resident at Berkeley Lodge for just over 2 years. My mother and I visitied him regularly and we were privileged to see the kindness and patience of the staff who looked after him. They really took the trouble to get to know him and he was treated with dignity and good humour. Our
family very much appreciate the way he was looked after and the way we were made to feel like part of the family. It was lovely to witness and sometimes join in with the activities organised for the residents. Communication and information sharing was excellent, as was the delcious food and refreshments. I particularly appreciate the thoughtful way the team looked after me during the last few weeks of my father's life. My heartfelt thanks to everyone.

Mum spent almost 2 years in the care of the wonderful staff at Berkeley Lodge. I don't use the word care lightly because I always witnessed exceptionally attentive care whenever I visited my mum. Management were responsive and punctual when contacted and I always felt they had my mum's best
interests at heart and even though she had advanced dementia she was always treated as a human being with her own feelings and opinions. Even when my mum passed away recently they made us feel that she was part of a family and would be genuinely missed and we thank them for that. Thank you to all at Berkeley and I'll be booking in my own space soon :)

My mum and stepfather have been at Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home for almost a year now. They both have very different needs. Mum found it hard to settle down at first but the staff and management have been wonderful. Using different techniques and working with me to help her. All the staff are lovely
and caring. The home is very clean and they both have lovely rooms. They have their own activities staff and Mum has been encouraged to join in. She has enjoyed this much to my surprise. They are very well looked after. I live in France, so have found it difficult, but the staff have always been on hand to help and support me. It is all the little things they do that mean so much. I was lucky to find Berkeley Lodge and even luckier to find a home that would take them both together. Thank you.

My wife has been in Berkeley Lodge Nursing Home for over six years. There has been inevitable changes in staff during this time, but I have always found management and staff thoroughly professional, businesslike and friendly.
My wife has been cared for extremely well, during this lengthy time.
An
example very recently, was that my wife suddenly deteriorated, in the middle of the night. Her condition was evaluated by the duty nurse, and stabilized. The nurse phoned me and explained what had occurred and how it had been dealt with, to my entire satisfaction.
First thing, the following morning, the manager, recently appointed, phoned me and updated me on what the Doctor had reported to her. Everything very efficient as one would expect from a top class Nursing Home.
My wife has recovered to some degree and continues to receive excellent care.

My mum has severe dementia and is unable to communicate. The staff have treated her with unfailing kindness for a long time and have been excellent in communicating with my sister and me.

After one year, my wife has received first-class service from all excellent staff in purpose-built, spacious accommodations with many communal areas. From research of other homes, Berkeley Lodge is recommended and is excellent value for money.

Berkeley Lodge is a lovely home. My mother has settled in okay. The manager and staff are all very kind, helpful and supportive and friendly.

My father has been in Berkeley Lodge since February. He is lovingly cared for by the team. Although he is sometimes reluctant to join in with activities, the staff have encouraged him to join in with things that he has not participated in for several years (e.g. painting and choir). It was a very
difficult decision for us, as a family, to make to place him in a care home, but we really had no alternative. We feel that this is the best we can do and are relieved that he is in a lovely home where he is well cared for and treated with kindness and respect.

My father has been looked after by Berkeley Lodge for the past couple of months. He is a type 1 diabetic and loves his food. The nurses look after his diabetes so well and keep it under control as best as they can. He came with a pressure ulcer, which they dress most days due to its severity. The
staff are friendly and caring and look after him with dignity. Due to his poor eyesight, he is assisted to eat. It would be lovely to have more activities available for those who are almost blind, is my only thought.

Dad's dementia means that his mod and ability change several times within the same day. At his age, he has other health-related conditions which the staff cope with in a very caring and understanding way, I'm delighted with the way in which he is looked after.

We are very pleased with the assistance and care all the staff at Berkeley Lodge have given. Right from the start they have made sure our dear cousin has been settled and happy in her new home. There have been regular updates made and action taken if any changes are required. When visiting there is
a smile from all the caring and friendly staff.
