View Full Details of Homelands Nursing HomeSadly our Mum recently passed away after 10 years at Homelands. She received excellent care throughout her stay. The nurses, carers and other staff were always friendly and welcoming making Mum and her visitors feel at home. Mum very much enjoyed the variety of activities especially Linley on a Thursday. Mum received professional and personalised care. My brother and I can't thank enough, all at Homelands, for the way they looked after Mum.
My Dad moved to Homeland as an emergency admission, mum and I couldn't manage at home. He was my mum's full time carer.Estrella went above and beyond to help us get him moved across and made us all feel very welcome, cared for and safe. the staff were fantastic. They treated Dad with so much dignity and respect the whole time he was there. We knew he was going for end of life care, but the way all the staff handled things, you wouldn't have known.I'm very greatful for the amount of doctor visits, check in, OT visits etc that were provided without us having to ask. When it got to the stage of my dad not being able to get out of bed. They regularly checked on him.the staff never ever made us feel unwelcome and we're always super accommodating.I bought my children with me and they were always welcome. We only had 5 weeks with dad from admission to him passing, but even in the final hours I can't fault them. Noel was so kind and compassionate and gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye.
My mother (age 97), who has been a resident at Homelands for several years, continues to receive excellent care and support. The staff are attentive to resident's needs and the nursing team is very experienced. Where needed doctor visits are promptly arranged with the local surgery. In my mother's case a recent urinary tract infection was quickly diagnosed and treated. Group and individual activities are provided. Also, regular religious visits, entertainment, musical exercise/movement, hairdressing and chiropody are provided. Food is good, including menu choices. Relatives/visitors are welcome with very little restrictions. Personally, based upon the care my mother has previously and continues to receive, I would have no reservations in recommending Homelands Nursing Home.
Good food. I am well looked after.
I would recommend Homelands, my mother stayed there for 2 years until she passed in January this year . The staff are amazing and so caring, going about their daily routine with professionalism, care and above all an element of humour, which is so import. Mum enjoyed the summer parties and Christmas celebrations, she enjoyed her hair and nails day on a Wednesday and the regular visits from Father Martin. Her room was amazing with beautiful views over the South Downs. Thank you to everyone at Homelands for looking after mum over the last couple of years .
My aunt has been staying at Homelands Nursing Home at Cowfold for just over a year. Auntie was taken to Homelands on palliative care, but the staff have worked wonders and she is doing very well for a lady of 92 years of age. The staff are caring and jolly everyone along. The activities provided are wonderful, with live entertainers, fun bingo and conversation. The food is lovely and plentiful, with a good choice of menu. Cleanliness is of a high standard. Auntie's room enjoys a lovely view of the countryside. As a family we are very happy with the care she is receiving. We are so grateful for all you are doing to keep her safe and well.
A lovely caring home environment for my mother-in-law to spend her final days. The staff are all friendly and warm to not only the resident but also the family.
Our lovely mum has recently passed away after nearly two years in Homelands. The care that she received has been wonderful in all aspects. All of the staff have been amazing. We were kept informed at all stages. They are caring and compassionate. Always cheerful and welcoming to visitors. We can't thank them enough for everything they did for Mum. She was a character, and there was lots of fun and laughter too during her stay. We would whole heartedly recommend Homelands to anyone.
This home was not our choice but was where our relative was placed by the county council It's not corporate or flashy and looks dated and as if it would benefit from a massive cash injection but we are very pleased with it. The staff were friendly and seem to genuinely care. The management want the place to be very much viewed as a home and it does have a nice, warm, homely feel to it. For us, the only negative was its location as you would probably only access it by a vehicle most easily a private car. We felt confident about our relative safety and care there.
Our aunt was admitted to Homelands Nursing Home - Cowfold - in October 2023 as her dementia and Parkinson's had progressed to the point that even a (single) living-in carer was unable to cope. The staff at Homelands were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The premises and my aunt's room were clean and tidy. Whenever we visited we were kept informed of my aunt's health and her interaction with the staff even though she was nonverbal due to other health conditions. When her condition deteriorated the staff informed us, and when appropriate, arranged for end-of-life care, and treated both my aunt and ourselves with respect and dignity to the end.
Thank you all for your excellent care of my husband for the last few months. It was thorough and attentive. Everyone was so kind, friendly and patient with him and nothing was too much trouble. There was a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the home for myself and his visitors. It really is a wonderful place.
The staff at Homelands were exceptionally lovely, kind and caring. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our father to be. Sadly he didn't have enough time to enjoy their activities. Thank you so much for your care.
My mother has been in the home for 5 months now, and given that no one wants to be in a nursing home, is settled. The staff are lovely and have a genuine kindness for the residents, the staff are all permanent which is a massive advantage as residents build relationships with them. The nursing staff are always available to talk to, and I cannot fault the care given to my mother. They have also been wonderful with my elderly father who visits her daily.
My father was brought to Homelands Nursing Home from the hospital after he suffered a broken hip and received very good care from the staff to keep him comfortable in the short time he was there. He was treated with the utmost dignity when he, unfortunately, passed away after a short stay.
My wife has dementia, comfortable and okay in this home and looked after. The staff are friendly and good at their jobs. The home is clean and tidy and the outside garden is good. I'm trying to find faults but I can't it's not perfect but it's good in all departments and I am very satisfied.
My mother was placed in Homelands in October 2022. From the very start, I was overwhelmed by the quality of care and compassion given to Muum and our family. Sadly, Mum passed away after only 3 months of residency but the care she was given by everyone - right down to the cleaning staff was exemplary. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who asks me.
First and foremost, the staff at Homelands are undeniably the home's best feature. They are genuinely caring, understanding and are willing to go above and beyond for both my mother during her stay and final days and to visiting family and friends when they require help or explanations of treatments and updates. Over the three years that my mother was there, she received an outstanding amount of care and attention, they were attentive to my own needs as well during the last days and made the transition all the easier to accept and process. I'd like to thank everyone at Homelands for being there for my mother and me, and I'll be sure to recommend them to anyone that needs their services.
The staff here is lovely, going out of their way to be of assistance. They took good care of my mother-in-law in her last days. I recommend this home unreservedly. Can't thank them enough! She was in the home for 5 years and enjoyed it there a lot. Made friends with the staff and loved being there watching the birds and reading her books in bed.
My mum went into the care home after being advised of her condition, she never went back home after her diagnosis due to being very unwell. The manager and all staff are amazing, I cannot thank them enough for all the support they have given Mum and her family and friends! A true asset to the home and I will always be eternally grateful.
Homelands looked after my 99 year old mother in her last days and I wouldn’t have wanted her to be anywhere else. She had the best care and we were always greeted very warmly by all the staff. We were recommended by friends whose parents were at Homelands and we have no regrets of choosing them for her final days.
