I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful care I have witnessed at Maplehurst. My friend is always treated and spoken to with great care and kindness.
My review is based on the past year's experience where my wife has been a resident since May 2024. The ratings are based on my personal experience during my daily visits- and are therefore limited in some instances where first-hand knowledge is not available.
My mother has been a resident for almost 8 years - she has been extremely well looked after. I cannot fault the care given.
We have been extremely impressed with the care that he has received. All the staff are kind, thoughtful, caring and fully committed to look after the patients in their care. The leadership here is visible and involved and they know all the patients well - they are very communicative. Excellent food + room. He is very much better for his time here at Maplehurst and we are so pleased he is here.
Maplehurst has been amazing for my Dad. The Staff are outstanding. From day 1 we were made to feel welcome. The building may be a little awkward but it is Such a beautiful home. Dad nhas made such progress from being in Maplehurst. He loves the activities + the staff truly Care about him. All I want is dad to be safe, happy & well looked after- Maplehurst is the place for this.
There is only one word I can use to describe Maplehurst Nursing Home, that is exceptional. My husband has settled into the home, due to the help and consideration that all the staff show all the time. The home is kept extremely clean, and has a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Excellent care tailored to my husband's needs. Thank you for what you continue to do for him.
My husband was admitted in March 2022 on an assessment basis, my family and I were so pleased with the staff and his treatment that I fought hard to keep him here at the end of the assessment period. The same staff are still here and I feel that is a great mark of good management and a happy team. My husband was quite difficult to begin with, but nothing has fazed the staff and management and he has always been treated kindly and with respect. I am always made welcome, he is settled and safe, and his room is kept clean and tidy. Thank you to all at Maplehurst, you have made a difficult time much easier.
Everyone is lovely at Maplehurst and what is so good is that the staff do not leave - many have been there for years! Mum is so well cared for and she is happy and settled. She loves the food as, in her words, 'it is not mucked about'! Cannot praise Maplehurst strongly enough.
I am so thankful there was a space at Maplehurst when we needed it. All of the staff are kind, caring, and welcoming, and they support relatives as well as residents. The emphasis is very much on providing a homely environment and nothing is too much trouble. The food is of a high standard, cooked on the premises, and all tastes are catered for. The staff work well as a team, and are always good-humoured and patient. Maplehurst epitomises how all nursing homes should be run. Thank you for everything you do.
My sister and I couldn't be happier with the care our beloved dad has received at Maplehurst. We can't thank you all enough. The peace of mind we have knowing that he is so well looked after is absolutely priceless.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and I am greeted by name when visiting. They are attuned to the residents, and the clinical care is excellent. They spotted an infection in my husband by noticing a change in his voice, although he is only able to make noises, not speak. My husband has also gained weight which is good.
The staff have a very personal and friendly relationship with the residents. My mum has never been unhappy in her time at Maplehurst, and I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is cared for very well.
Although the staff were very friendly, we found that my mother was just left sitting in the lounge all day until it was bedtime. They did not help her with exercise for her Parkinson's and she was very unhappy there. We took her out after 1 week (should have been 2) and have been charged for the 2 weeks. All they did for her was feed and put her to bed and charged a lot of money for it.
The staff are all outstanding and care a great deal about the residents. The team is very responsive as was demonstrated with the swift changes they made to accommodate my husband's dramatically increased needs after hospitalisation. Lunch was so beautifully presented the other day that I almost took a photograph of it to put on social media to show what can be achieved in a nursing home and I'm delighted that the activities programme includes physical therapy and movement. I am very happy with the home.
The staff are very attentive and approachable and this shines through as the residents always seem content and happy. The home is well managed and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble and it is always very clean and tidy. We are glad that our mother is staying with you.
We've been very happy with the care for Mum since she's been at Maplehurst Nursing Home and the support offered to the whole family. It's a lovely friendly environment and everyone is very caring which really shows through.
I think the staff are amazing, very caring and attentive. My parents are extremely well looked after at Maplehurst Nursing Home and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for the team. There is a family feeling to the home with real affection between staff and residents.
