My husband spent a week at Russettings Care Home in January 2025. Even though he was very poorly, needing end of life care, he was warmly welcomed into the home, and the management were kind and helpful to us as a family. The care he received from all the staff was exceptional. They were always happy to help in whatever way possible, from making him more comfortable, to suggesting options for food that could be suitable for him. The nursing care, also, was of a very high quality and they did everything they could for him, my husband was shown both dignity and compassion by all. We could see that he was peaceful, in a room we could make his own, which had the most wonderful views. These he was able to enjoy, even though he was bed bound. We felt very supported as a family and were able to spend maximum time with him, which we are so grateful for.

Since my wife became a resident last summer I have been most impressed by the dedication and kindness of all the staff and the care with which they treat all the residents. The effort that was put into the care and entertainment programme for the December and Christmas period was really outstanding and made what could have been a difficult and upsetting period for residents and family a lovely enjoyable experience.

Lovely atmosphere with fabulous entertainment, the food was delicious with lots of variety and the Christmas decorations make it feel very homely.

I've just attended the Christmas party at Russettings Care Home where my husband is now a resident. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a really joyous occasion. Live music with age-appropriate songs. Lovely to see some residents enjoying a boogie with their families and the positive interaction the carers had with those joining in from their chairs. The conservatory provided a quieter area too, at a distance from the main festivities. A delicious, high-quality buffet to round it off. Well done!

My Mother stayed for four weeks during July and August 2024. She was very happy and thoroughly enjoyed her time there.

We enjoyed the Caribbean BBQ. The food was fantastic, with a lovely selection of Caribbean delights, including rum cake and rum punch! The steel pan music made the afternoon perfect.

Above all a friendly, caring home. Warm and skillful staff, excellent catering, and a good team spirit. My sister's condition has deteriorated fairly quickly. The home has been responsive to her changing needs.

A lovely BBQ, staff worked so hard, food good, music lovely and the right era. Enjoyed the visiting alpacas. Looked after Mum very well, as they always do.

Delicious lunch of beef stew and chocolate pudding all served piping hot by friendly, cheerful staff. Special real to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

I have really enjoyed sharing with my father the St Patrick's Day event as well as my father's birthday. It was a lovely atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff. The dinner was a wonderful idea, which helped to make an enjoyable time to chat with my father. Thank you so much for this wonderful time.

Visited for Mother's Day Lunch, thoroughly enjoyed the meal, better than some restaurants. Mum in good spirits and well cared for by the staff. It's a lovely place and we hope Mum will settle here despite her memory problems. Keep up the good work.

Attended a meal event, Diwali lunch. Very welcoming and homely surroundings. Successful and enjoyable event. Very impressed with the home.

I attended a fabulous Indian lunch to celebrate Diwali at the invitation of the care home management. The portions were very generous and delicious. Although I was unavoidably unable to arrive at the very beginning, I was smoothly directed to my seat next to my husband and daughter. My husband ate a little of the Indian food but found the experience a bit bewildering. However, staff quickly put him at ease by producing his familiar hand sandwiches and ice cream.

Russettings Care Home arranged a fantastic Diwali celebration with decoration, music and a cookery demonstration and meal from a lady who has been on a TV cooking show. I had my hand decorated with a beautiful henna picture. So beautifully, sensitively well-organised.

The staff treat the residents with great care and dignity. Activities are inclusive and imaginative. We enjoy the excellent themed meals and celebrations for residents, families and friends.

The home laid on a delicious Diwali lunch for residents and guests. It was enjoyed by all - a tribute to the efforts the home makes to give residents some variety in their lives.

We have had excellent service from Russettings Care Home over many years. Currently, they ought to be looking to increase their food hygiene rating from 4 to 5 and refurbish the inside of the lift. Otherwise, excellent in all respects. Thank you.

My review is 100% positive, from first meeting the manger to all the members of staff. I have no negative remarks at all. The staff treat the residents with care. Value your staff. they are hard to find.
