Russettings Care Home

We find Russettings to be a top-rated care home who have looked after my mother for over 6 months now. We find all the staff, from office-based to clinical to care to activities, kind, caring, supportive and very professional. We watch them with not only my mum but all the residents and they are dedicated to the care of each resident. We find them very caring to all their different needs. We also find them very welcoming and kind to us. They keep us very well informed about all matters related to my mum and are very aware and 'on the ball' when it comes to my mum's well-being and medical needs. A top-rate establishment.

Many friendly staff with ready smiles and when possible immediate offers of help In spite of difficulties functioning around building works operated as smoothly as is reasonable given the circumstances

We are so thankful for the care that mum receives at Russettings. The staff care so much and go above and beyond to provide a personalised and loving service. I feel that mum is always in safe hands and she is treated with dignity and respect.

This is my third and final review of Russettings Care home. We had 6 months of wonderful care for my wife. every day was a pleasure for her. The staff are extremely caring and friendly. Calling my wife by her pet name. Christmas day was magical with one member of staff staying up after completing a night shift to ensure my wife and I could have Christmas dinner together.

Its not so much the things you see that make the difference but the extra things the staff do that you find out about later.

I will cherish my wife time at Russettings and cannot thank the team enough for everything they did for us.

Mum only spent a week at Russettings, before she died however the care and support she received was excellent. The whole staff team from manager to nurses to the premises team went that extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble for them. She was treated with respect and care and she died with dignity.

From my first contact with Russettings, I was profoundly impressed by their caring and supportive approach. The home is comfortable and very well equipped, but what really sets it apart from other homes is the compassion and professionalism shown by each and every staff member. From care staff to nursing to housekeeping, people really did look after my mother. The home is cosy, clean and safe, and always felt full of laughter and joy. My mother was treated with dignity and kindness throughout her stay, and I never had to worry about her. She was closely monitored at all times, and I was always kept informed of her health. The food was great and always freshly cooked, and there were a wide variety of wonderful activities. Her room was lovely and peaceful with great views. I would recommend Russettings without reservation to anyone, particularly those suffering from dementia. I can't thank them enough for the support they provided to my mother (and to myself) during her time there.

He was very aggressive in hospital the staff tale the time to handle him with care and understanding.

My husband spent a week at Russettings Care Home in January 2025. Even though he was very poorly, needing end of life care, he was warmly welcomed into the home, and the management were kind and helpful to us as a family. The care he received from all the staff was exceptional. They were always happy to help in whatever way possible, from making him more comfortable, to suggesting options for food that could be suitable for him. The nursing care, also, was of a very high quality and they did everything they could for him, my husband was shown both dignity and compassion by all. We could see that he was peaceful, in a room we could make his own, which had the most wonderful views. These he was able to enjoy, even though he was bed bound. We felt very supported as a family and were able to spend maximum time with him, which we are so grateful for.

Since my wife became a resident last summer I have been most impressed by the dedication and kindness of all the staff and the care with which they treat all the residents. The effort that was put into the care and entertainment programme for the December and Christmas period was really outstanding and made what could have been a difficult and upsetting period for residents and family a lovely enjoyable experience.

Lovely atmosphere with fabulous entertainment, the food was delicious with lots of variety and the Christmas decorations make it feel very homely.

I've just attended the Christmas party at Russettings Care Home where my husband is now a resident. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was a really joyous occasion. Live music with age-appropriate songs. Lovely to see some residents enjoying a boogie with their families and the positive interaction the carers had with those joining in from their chairs. The conservatory provided a quieter area too, at a distance from the main festivities. A delicious, high-quality buffet to round it off. Well done!

My Mother stayed for four weeks during July and August 2024. She was very happy and thoroughly enjoyed her time there.

The steel pan music made the afternoon perfect.

My sister's condition has deteriorated fairly quickly. The home has been responsive to her changing needs.

A lovely BBQ, staff worked so hard, food good, music lovely and the right era. Enjoyed the visiting alpacas. Looked after Mum very well, as they always do.

BBQ, enjoyable afternoon with good food, good company and good music. Alpaca's great. Wonderful staff/chefs.

Delicious lunch of beef stew and chocolate pudding all served piping hot by friendly, cheerful staff. Special real to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

I have really enjoyed sharing with my father the St Patrick's Day event as well as my father's birthday. It was a lovely atmosphere, with friendly and helpful staff. The dinner was a wonderful idea, which helped to make an enjoyable time to chat with my father. Thank you so much for this wonderful time.

Visited for Mother's Day Lunch, thoroughly enjoyed the meal, better than some restaurants. Mum in good spirits and well cared for by the staff. It's a lovely place and we hope Mum will settle here despite her memory problems. Keep up the good work.
