Rustington Hall Station Road Rust, Rustington, Littlehampton, BN16 3AY
View Full Details of Rustington HallAll staff and managers are very welcoming and eager to please, however small the query. My relative had a big birthday this year, and the home pulled out all the stops to give her the best day possible. The scale of the entertainment programme is amazing and provides enough variety for my relative to become fully engaged, but with the choice to opt out if she wishes. She is well cared for, and happy in a home environment. She is taken to all of her outside appointments, and I receive regular phone calls after these appointments, to keep me up to date on her care. If there are any problems, the home make contact with me, looking for guidance, or giving reassurance that my relative is OK. I cannot praise Rustington Hall enough for the care and empathy they show towards my relative.
I am very impressed with the care this home has provided to my relative. At times her health has dipped, and the whole team work hard to identify the reason, and work to a positive outcome. She had a big birthday this year, and they ensured that it was a day that she would remember, and memories were made. They have an excellent entertainment team, and programme of events. We have regularly taken family and friends to see my relative and they all ask how we found such a wonderful place, and if they ever have to go into care, they too want to be at Rustington Hall It is no surprise that they have achieved so many recognitions and awards for their services.
Very caring staff during end of life care for my wife funded by the NHS. Good management team which contributes to the calm atmosphere. It's the little things that make a difference, doves and flowers outside the room during the final days as a code to keep the area peaceful, down to a remembrance notice in the reception area within 30 mins after my wife passed away. All of the care staff are first class, the registered nurses are respectful and very professional while not loosing the personal touch. Everybody treated my wife with the utmost dignity and kindness I knew the reputation of Rustington HaIl and when offered a place I accepted without any hesitation.
Since my sister came to Rustington Hall, all the staff are amazing, caring and supportive of all her needs. She is happy to be at Rustington Hall. Always someone to talk to. We are a family all appreciate all that they do for her. They are all angels.
A lovely nursing home, where our Mum was looked after with care and dignity. Our Dad visited every day, and he, too, was given special treatment. The home is clean and the gardens are lovely. Thank you all.
The staff are all very caring and friendly. However, I feel there needs to be more staff, especially at weekends, to cater for all of the residents' needs.
I would like to say that I am very happy at Rustington Hall. I have found all the staff wonderful. I have nothing critical to say.
Rustington Hall Care Home has been absolutely wonderful in looking after my father. From the moment he moved in, the staff have been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. It's clear that they go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. The environment is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, with a lovely atmosphere that feels more like a home than a facility. My father has settled in well, and it's such a relief to know he is in good hands and surrounded by people who truly care. A big thank you to everyone at Rustington Hall - your dedication means so much to our family.
My beloved mum was a resident for 8 years, and when she passed in November 2024. I knew I needed to carry on visiting the wonderful staff. Without them it would have felt like another bereavement. They are my extended family. Mum was happy here, she was treated with dignity, respect and love. My family and I are grateful for giving mum a happy, secure and supportive 8 years. Exceptionally clean throughout, varied menus to suit all residents assorted professional entertainment. In my opinion, worthy of 'outstanding'.
My father is extremely well cared for by all the staff at Rushington Hall. He is very content, the activities rota is organised for residents is very full and varied, and dad has enjoyed joining in when he is able to. The food is nutritious and tasty. I highly recommend this friendly, happy care home.
Very dignified and respectful, great care and attention to my sisters needs.
Short visit today - staff excellent and very friendly.
The staff here are always friendly, supportive and diligent. They look after the residents professionalism and treat them with dignity. The nursing staff are very professional and supportive of the residents families in the decision making in respect of the residents care.
When my friend came to Rustington Hall he had not been eating, had lost a lot of weight, and was rather poorly. The care and support that has been given by the staff has helped restore his health and well-being. He has settled well and is enjoying his stay.
I visited my friend over the Christmas period, although I visit every couple of months throughout the year. I have found the staff to be friendly and efficient. My friend loves it there and seems to think it's a hotel. I have always found the home to be spotlessly clean and always welcoming.
Since admission in August 2024, my friend was treated with kindness and respect together with receiving excellent care for her palliative clinical needs. She made friends, had fun, enjoyed the activities provided while also being able to have quiet time when she wished in her room. At the end of her life she chose to remain at Rustington Hall confident that she would not be alone. I have the utmost respect for the management and staff.
Excellent individualised care was given to my father. He was acutely grieving when he first moved in. All members of staff - maintenance, cleaners, nurses, kitchen staff, managers and activities coordinators - listen to his needs and facilitated him settling in and finding contentment. As family, we trusted he was safe and happy, being communicated with when required. Throughout his 18 months of care, his care needs were assessed and acted upon promptly e.g. when he needed hoisting. When he reached his end of life, he was cared for with skill, dignity and compassion. The kindness we as family received was exemplary.
I suppose that I am happy overall. I have no previous experience of a nursing home so did not know what to expect. Initial thoughts were, and still are, that it is a lot of money. Mum being in a nursing home has taken a lot of stress and worry away from us but there always seems to be something we are not happy with. We are not happy with the response times when Mum presses the buzzer, we have had a few issues with that. Sometimes, but not always, there are issues with cleanliness mainly in the bathroom. Mum is picky with food, much of the time the food is ok but sometimes the food that is presented is not at all appetising. I would like to be made more aware of what is going on. Often when members of the family visit we don't see anyone from the home at all. I feel there needs to be someone on Reception for more hours. I have stood outside for 5-10 minutes on more than one occasion. When asked if she is happy Mum says she is not unhappy. She says the staff are very kind to her.
We are very happy with my mum's care, the carers look after her very well and know her character as well as physical needs. Rustington Hall is a bright and cheerful place to be and there is always lots of activities.
My family and I can't thank you all enough for all your love and care you all give to our brother. He has been in Rustington Hall for three years and is happy, he joins in most of the activities and loves walking around the garden. We could not have found a better nursing home for him. We thank you all for your support.
