View Full Details of St Georges CourtDad has only been in St George's a few weeks, but he already feels at home. Decoration throughout is very tasteful and makes it feel very homely and welcoming, all areas are clean clear and tidy. Dad's room is well laid out, he was able to bring furniture and items to make the room feel like his own, and has a nice view over the gardens. All staff have a positive caring attitude and give dignity and respect to all. There are many daily activities and residents are encouraged to join in or watch/listen. Weekly there is the opportunity to have an appointment with the hair stylist, have a manicure or see the podiatrist. The food is great, residents are encouraged to eat in one of the dining rooms or in their rooms. The food selection is very good, and several options to choose from. There are always snacks and drinks available and the staff are always around to assist. The nursing team are there 24/7, very proficient and caring and I am always kept updated. A great place to stay.
I visited my friend for the first time in several months. I found the home to be very welcoming and friendly. Team members were smiling and helpful, they took me to see my friend who was doing bingo. We were able to have a private conversation in my friends room. The room was cleaned and well presented, we had a cup of coffee and enjoyed our time together. I look forward to viewing again soon, I have just found out that the home has a social media account so I can follow the home and see what is happening in the home.
I went to visit a family friend with my mum, I found the home to be clean with no smells like some. Our friend was saying how nice the food was as it is all made in the home. Our showed us the room she had and this was very light and clean, we went to the garden and met the manager and Libby the home dog who is such a cheeky little character and friendly with a treat. We enjoyed our visit and we are planning to go to an event later in the year. We heard that the halloween party for residents is an unmissable event and loved by all of the residents and staff.
I am very happy as is my wife, with the care my mum gets. She is well looked after and cared for. Staff are always very helpful, as is the management staff. We couldn't wish for a better home for her to be in. Thank you!
Lovely helpful staff and nice atmosphere.
Mum has been at St George's since August 2024 and has settled in well, having arrived in a difficult situation. The staff provide very good care, both from the medical side of things and in helping keep people occupied with activities.
Went to visit auntie today, fantastic. The staff were amazing, very attentive and caring, couldn't ask for a better visit. Had to travel a fair way, but the staff were very helpful with directions and then the parking no problem. Thank you for all your service.
I visit my aunt every other week. She has lived in St George for a year. It was hard making the decision to place my aunt in full time care. From the point of the Manager, assessing my aunt to today we have been supported. She guided us through the process of moving into a card home. I visited my aunt today and it was wonderful to see her so happy and contented. She did not know I was visiting today and she looked so clean and well presented. She told me about the entertainment she had watched last week and she loves Libby the dog. Libby gives my aunt such comfort and fun. All the staff are caring and welcoming when we visit. My aunt is is happy, well cared for and ultimately feels safe and loved in St George. We could not ask for any more.
I've been very happy with the care provided at St. George's Care Home in Cambridge. The staff are kind, attentive, and truly go above and beyond. The quality of care has been outstanding, and it's reassuring to know my relative is in such good hands.
My friend was devastated earlier this year when she and her family took the difficult decision that she would be safer living in a care home. What a difference to the person I recently visited. She was relaxed and happy and reported the she was being well cared for and enjoying the company of both staff and other residents. I have to say I met a few of the staff and they were all cheerful, caring and extremely kind - nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. I am not much younger that my friend and knowing such a lovely place exists makes me think about my future in a more positive light.
I have been living at St Georges Court for almost 1 year now and I have had no end of good experiences. The staff from administration to nurses to carers are all very helpful and polite and make everyday experience very pleasurable. The care home is easy to find from the city centre and is close to the train station. There is the botanic gardens close by, as well as a museum and college. My room is very pleasant and I enjoy all the activities that are put on for us. The food is very good considering the varied diet of all living here, I have a cooked breakfast every morning buy choice which is very nice. I enjoy living here and would recommend to others.
I had the pleasure of visiting my friends care home, I was impressed with the modern decor it creates a welcoming atmosphere. My friend mentioned the activities are diverse so there is always something fun to engage in. My friend really enjoys the local church who come and visit every week. What really touched me was the way the team was interacting with all those living in the home. The team seem very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone seeking loving and supportive forever home for themselves or a loved one.
I have been visiting with my Therapy dog for three years. The home has improved very substantially during that period. The home and the rooms are now clean, well decorated and physically fit for purpose within the limitations of an older building. Staff are dedicated and caring and do their very best to meet residents' needs. A programme of staff training has been evident during my regular visits and there is no longer rapid turnover of permanent staff. Agency staff no longer appear to be used. This is good for a number of reasons. Residents have full programme of daily activities for those able to participate.
My experience with St Georges Court Care Home is very positive. I recently visited my Aunt and I found the care home to be very clean and neat and the staff with whom I interacted were all very kind, congenial and friendly. The Care Home Manager is a perfect example of how a Care Home Manager should be, in my opinion. She epitomises care, concern and empathy and has a warm and friendly personality. She is perfect for her role in the care home. I feel at ease knowing that my Aunt is receiving quality care at this care home.
The team made us feel so welcome and you can tell how much they care for the residents. The garden was so lovely to sit in and the home was clean and well maintained. I'd highly recommend this home to others
I recently visited my grandmother, who has recently moved into a St George's Court Care Home. She seems to have settled in well and has already made a few friends. She mentioned that she is enjoying her time there, and the staff are very caring. There's always something happening every day for her to join in, helping keep her mind active. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend this home.
Thank you for all the help, love and care for our dad who is very precious to us all, he was in a bad care home before and was an awful experience, thankfully he ended up at St Georges Court 2024. Since then he has improved and is very happy, we are happy, staff are amazing, the management are superb, all brilliant. Sadly I live in Derbyshire which is a bit far for regular visits, but I know he is in safe hands. I work in a care home also which I love. Well done all looking forward to seeing u all in March.
I would highly recommend this care home to anyone. My great aunt has settled in wonderfully, and she always seems very happy when we visit. The home is always bustling with activities and entertainment, which helps keep the residents engaged and lively. It's also very clean and well-maintained, which gives me peace of mind. Most importantly, the staff are incredibly caring and attentive. It's clear they genuinely care for the residents, and that makes all the difference. Overall, we've had a fantastic experience.
When I visit my granny, it's amazing to see her so happy! She's made so many friends. It's really light and bright with a cute garden to sit in. I don't live locally so I tend to visit when I can, but I'm able to keep updated through the homes social media page, which is brilliant! My granny would definitely recommend St George's to her friends when the time comes.
My mother had her 90th Birthday this month. I discussed this with the senior managers at the care home, who exceeded all expectations by supporting us with a party at a weekend so that a small group of relatives and friends could attend (and even provided a cake). They also had an internal party on the day of the Birthday as well, as it was not possible for some key family to attend.
