View Full Details of Etheldred HouseThis care home is amazing. I cannot fault it at all. If my mum was in the right mind she would be so proud of where she is. Everyone from cleaning, kitchen, to management are so happy and friendly. It's so clean and such a happy place. This will be my mum's final place and as a daughter I couldn't think of anywhere better than here.
Etheldred is a loving, caring environment, my dad has settled in very well, the staff are kind, caring, and nothing is too much. Well done to all the team, and thank you.
I have had dealings with this care home for many years, and it is very reassuring to see many members of staff still working here. I am made to feel very welcome. My husband has settled really well and this makes me happy.
I was extremely welcomed by all the staff as soon as I arrived. My ensuite room has plenty of storage and is cleaned every day. The activities provided, and which I have been able to join in, have all been most enjoyable. I have also had the opportunity to join in services and other activities at my church, which I greatly appreciate. Grateful thanks to all staff.
I have been a temporary resident in Etheldred House for four weeks while my wife was in hospital. She has now been discharged and is recovering well. Although it was a big change to move from home to Etheldred I have been enabled to handle it well because: The building is well designed and constructed for its purpose. I have a bright single room with an en-suite. My bed and electrically adjustable chair are comfortable, and I have no pressure sores. Visitors may come at any time. The food is excellent, varies daily, and I am able to order 'off menu'. Clearly the staff really enjoy caring for us; they work hard, from the lady who cleans my room each day to senior management, whom I now know personally. There are regular staff training sessions, including fire safety. There is an excellent atmosphere. We are very satisfied with Etheldred and recommend it warmly.
My dad has severe dementia and that can mean difficult behaviour and a large reliance on others. The staff are managing this very well and I am very grateful. Very friendly and keeps you up to date on issues. They helped us through some very tricky situations. Highly recommend.
My wife has been in the care home for a short while. During that time the staff have been very professional and caring towards her. The staff are always willing to address any concerns I have. All staff are kind and caring.
I am very happy with the care given to my husband. All the staff are kind and helpful.
My father has been a resident of Etheldred House Care Home for almost five months. The staff are extremely approachable, helpful and supportive of his dementia care needs. He arrived suddenly and has taken a while to settle, but with the patience and understanding of the team, he is finally feeling at home and is content. We know as a family he is safe and secure. He is very well cared for.
I am very happy with the care provided to my wife. The staff are always friendly and the care home is clean and tidy.
I find the home, and staff very clean and friendly. I have no worries when I leave my wife to go home as she is in very capable hands in a secure and safe environment.
My dad has been at Etheldred House for nearly 3 years from the beginning the staff have been amazing in looking after him. I feel he is very well looked after and safe. The staff are always happy to help and approachable. Dad seems happy and comfortable which is lovely to see. Thank you everyone at Etheldred.
Extremely friendly staff and a lovely homely feel. My brother is very happy and feels safe and content.
My friend found it difficult to settle at first but through the kindness of all the staff he is now fully "at home". All the carers know his name and speak to him. He always looks forward to his meals, especially the lunch. I can understand why this is, as it always looks very appetising.
My husband is a resident of Etheldred House and when he is is on his end of life, all the staff are very caring, helpful to him and to me as well. Very supportive on preparing funeral services. I can always rely on them when my husband lived at Etheldred. I could not thank them enough for all they have done.
My husband has been in Eltheldred House for about 4 months now. It look him a while to settle but thanks to all the lovely, friendly staff he is now much happier. He still has his difficult moments but the carers handle them with compassion. He was in 3 previous care homes where he was asked to leave due to his 'challenging behaviour'. I feel much more confident that this will not happen again due to the way his behaviour is managed. I cannot praise the staff enough for their friendly attitude. When visiting, I am always greeted from everyone, receptionists, carers, cleaners and management with a smile and cheery hello.
Although my wife has challenging behaviour she is well cared for and well-liked.
The staff are fantastic, the food is great, beautiful garden and setting area for residents and families.
My family and I couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to be cared for. Every member of staff, including auxiliary staff are really caring. They treat each person with kindness, respect, dignity, patience and love. Whenever we arrive the carers always know where she is and what she is doing. They love to tell us of any particularly good days she is having, chatting to Mum and us about what made it so special. On the not so good days they have already responded to the change of health/mood and provided the extra care and support needed. If we are not there, they will call us. There are 2 voluntary and supported activities everyday for the residents to mix within the houses to solialise, keep fit and mobile or just enjoy. The home is clean, efficient and very well run and they respond to any requests or suggestions promptly.
Since 2016, I have had either family members or friends whom I am LPA for in Etheldred House Care Home. Since day one, the standard of care has been excellent. Under the leadership of the manager, all staff look after the well-being of the family members/loved ones of the residents just as much as the residents themselves. Something that no other care home I have been to does. The standard of care has not dropped at all despite changes in staff and the many challenges they have faced, including COVID. I cannot praise the staff enough for their care, kindness and professionalism. Thank you all for everything you do.
