View Full Details of Amberley Hall Care HomeIf I were to come to care home I wouldn't hesitate to come to Amberley Hall, the staff are friendly and helpful.
My mother who is 97 has been at Amberley Hall for 2 years and 4 months. On admission she was very frail and underweight and had lost interest in life. With the home's excellent care Mum is now 2 stone heavier, bright and full of life. The home let us use the farmhouse kitchen and garden to host my sister's 70th birthday tea for a few hours so Mum could be there and she enjoyed it so much. All the staff at Amberley Hall are caring and interested in the residents, I can't thank them enough.
The care and attention my Dad received has contributed to his health improving following a stroke. This has occurred within a few months at Amberley Hall.
I do not think anyone wants to fall over, but because I did, I was pleased I had somewhere to go where I could receive the required help and experience that I required.
A very pleasant place to stay. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Lots of activities to get involved with. The other residents were very friendly. My wife was there for intensive physiotherapy to get her more mobile. My wife and I both feel that she wasn't receiving enough physiotherapy. Other than that everything was OK.
The staff team provide excellent care and attention to residents. They provide care that's tailored to the residents individual needs; for example my step mum likes ice cream with her pudding and it's provided and another resident likes cheese and biscuits and they're provided for her. They provide emotional support.
My mum has been a resident since November 2024. Over this period she has been supported and treated with dignity and care. She actively participates in the activities on offer and enjoys the interactive support from the tea and with other residents. As a family we are made to feel very welcome by all, every team is excellent.
Thank you so much for looking after my mother so well over the last couple of weeks. Everyone has been so friendly and looked after my mother so well. Thank you so much.
All staff seem very freidnly and caring with good communication with relatives and residents. Pleasant experience coming here.
My rehab time spent in Amberley Hall Care Home was pleasant and helpful.
Great care, respect and professionalism. Staff very pleasant and friendly, nice to have a laugh with. Very pleased with the way they treated my mother.
Visiting my mother-in-law with my sister-in-law on this day we found my mother-in-law sat in the communal area with several staff and other residents. She had had a shower and her hair washed (which can be very difficult for staff) she was in a very happy mood, lauging and talking with us both. Saying that the staff ar very good, telling them each that they were her best girl or boy. She was actually laughing so much at times that she had tears rolling down her face. This is very good for us as a family to know that she is now much more settled than she was before she would be shouting at us and constantly asking to go home. The area and her bedroom were very clean and there were no unpleasant smells. The staff all interacted with my mother-in-law. The nurse in charge also keep us informed of anything which they feel is important.
My mum spent several weeks here in Jan/Feb 2025. Since coming home she has improved more than we expected. I'm looking for respite for her while I go on holiday and am really pleased she will be able to come back to Amberley Hall.
All staff take great care and provide a high level of care.
My husband has been well cared for and found staff to be very kind and considerate.
The staff could not be more friendly. The place is spotless I could not wish for a better place like home from home. Love this place and the staff.
In for rehab, one staff member extremely good. Resident not included in events at Amberley Hall we were told event were for residents only. Staff not all aware of needs ie shown menu but sight-impaired! Room not clean toilet smelt until we requested the extractor was turned back on. Rehab not regular and resident not encouraged to help in dressing and washing. Had to request he was showered. Staff were pleasant on the whole but resident did not receive rehab and was less able than when we arrived. Therapy staff seemed to loose interest when he could not return home and was waiting to move to another home.
When my father was flooded out of his bungalow following a water leak, Amberley took him in at very short notice and he ended up staying two weeks. While he has his problems at the home it was a safe, secure and comfortable environment and I am very grateful for the service offered.
Mum has always had excellent care since coming to Amberley Hall, she always looks clean & well cared for. Unfortunately being bed ridden mum is limited to relying on the carers, but they are amazing with her and nothing is too much.
Amberley Hall feels like a family environment, every member of staff from carers to maintenance and kitchen staff treat the residents and families with respect and compassion, residents are looked after not only in terms of their physical needs bu also the whole of their well being. The food is a very good standard and the menu is very varied. Good and varied activities are planned very carefully for residents and visiting family, any concerns are dealt with very quickly and professionally giving me confidence that my partner is receiving the right care.
