I found the care, staff + facilities excellent. The cleanliness was very evident on all visits. My brother was in paliative care and received both care and dignity from all the staff. I could not fault anything.

My father has been Goodwins Hall for over 1 year - I live away, so it is quite a long journey, however the staff from the bottom to the top have been fantastic. They keep me informed of everything that goes on with my father and they deal very diplomaticaly with a situation between my family and my fathers partner and make things very easy for us.

Being sent to you for re-hab after hospital surgery was such a good thing. Your staff noticed any improvements in what I was able to do over the time with you and encouraged me. The staff were happy and friendly with each other too. Made a difference. Can't say anything about financial side as it was NHS funded.

All the staff are always extremely friendly and courteous. We could not fault them in any way. Hope that they are well recognised in the work that they do.

Well where do I start. My Uncle came into Goodwins Hall in June, not in the best of health, but was given outstanding care for the nine weeks that he was there, but sadly passed away. The nurse who called to inform me of my uncles passing was so so caring & compassionate. I couldn't have wished to have found a better home for him. The care was amazing & every single member of staff was exceptional bar none. We were always offered drinks & cakes that were freshly made on site which are truly mouth watering & enjoyable. The gardens are so well kept & inviting. The home is spotlessly clean & the residents are their highest priority.

Mum has been here just over two years during which time her health has declined due to her age and stage. The care home has adjusted quickly and efficiently to accommodate her changing needs. Without exception the staff are all caring and considerate and always willing to help. I am visiting from Australia and am made to feel welcome at all times I visit.

What an amazing place for my mum's final 5 days. The love & care, that not only she was shown, but myself, and all our visitors, was outstanding. The building is very clean and welcoming, the complimentary hot drinks & cakes are a lovely touch, and scrumptious, and the gardens are something to behold. My friends and I, sometimes 3-4 of us, were offered drinks and meals throughout the day & night. We were provided with extra pillows, and sheets, and were allowed to stay during the night. I will always be thankful to all of the staff, especially the nurses, for making our dreadful experience the best it could possibly be. I would definitely recommend this lovely care home. My mum's, mum, also spent her last 10 or so years in Goodwins Hall with no complaints. 5 stars from me & my family.

The Goodwins care team took great care of my Mum for nearly four years. They are a lovely, friendly, professional team and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for residential care for a family member or loved one.

Kind and considerate staff throughout time at the care home, who were always helpful and accommodating. The staff were always on call if you needed them, and were supportive of our family after our loved one passed.

My father has received outstandingly kind patient and loving care over the past month. Everybody has treated him with kindness respect and dignity. Whenever I have asked for something for him, it has been provided! Thank you!!

Since I have been in Goodwins Hall I have been well looked after, they are all like a family to me and through thick and thin. If I have had any problems of can always come and talk to them. We also have outing during the summer.

I intend ticking 'excellent' for all of the ratings. I've had first class service at all levels sometimes, seemingly due to staff shortage, there was a wait for service, but it always came, usually promptly. Above all else the staff here are kind, an underated gift.

My mum was able to stay at Goodwins Hall with little notice. The management were very helpful, friendly and professional at all times. My mum was treated with care and dignity by all members of the team. The food is fresh and lots of variety. A lovely atmosphere and music playing most days in the reception area. An amazing choice of activities for those that want to participate and organised well.

Marked facilities down slightly for various reasons - lift often out of order. Coffee machine unreliable. All snacks cleared away lat afternoon. Otherwise, very happy. Thank you for looking after my mum.
