View Full Details of Hassingham House Care CentreWe came to visit our family member who has been at the home for a little while now. We arrived on a coffee-morning day and were so pleasantly surprised by the choice of activities and the care the activities team provided. The Activities Lead was a very kind man who sat with us and explained the range of activities they do. Seeing the smile on my cousin's face made us so happy. The manager was a lovely, friendly lady who took the time to speak with us and made us feel very welcome. Overall, we had a fantastic morning at Hassingham House, the cakes were great and the staff were amazing. Keep up the good work. Thank you x
I recently visited a friend who lives at Hassingham House in Hingham, UK, and I was genuinely impressed by the level of care I witnessed. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making residents feel comfortable and respected. It was especially nice to see that my friend had real choice in what he wanted to eat, which made the environment feel much more personal and homely. Overall, it was a very positive experience and reassuring to know that my friend is being so well cared for.
My husband received respite care at Hassingham House for the first time. The assessment was thorough and our welcome was good. He was treated kindly and respectfully by all the staff. He enjoyed the food and was allowed to rest when he wanted. When I visited, all the staff were supportive and friendly.
From the moment my sister and I visited the home we were treated so well. My brother settled in nicely and was taken good care of by all the staff. Everyone was so kind to us. The manager showed us around the home and told us of the improvements that were being done. The room had been recently decorated and was so calming. The whole home had a warm feel to it.
Thank you so much for the care and attention which you provided for the celebration of my parents' 70th wedding anniversary, including a truly splendid buffet and drinks and glasses. The cake was indeed moist and decorated beautifully. You went to a great deal of trouble, which we very much appreciated as a family. You made my parents' day one to remember. Thank you so much,
The staff at Hassingham House looked after my mum with care, kindness and friendship.
VE Day celebrations, bunting, live entertainment, food provided free of charge, organised and curated by staff. Good sing-along for residents and visitors. Helpful friendly staff as always.
My husband was placed in Hassingham for end of life care. Whilst this situation is not a good one for either resident or relatives, our family felt that he was given the utmost care and respect until his final moments. When he could eat, he was surprised by the excellent menu on offer. Even the young carers seem to have been given excellent training, the nursing staff were fully conversant with everything that could be done to ease any pain and is was especially struck by the fact that all of the staff took time to speak with the family when we were struggling. I only gave the rooms a 4* rating because even though they are quite spacious, they could probably do with a little upgrade and my husband could not use and activities because of his poor health. However, I would always prioritise excellent care over a slightly dated room so would recommend to anyone needing such a service.
My daughter has been in Hassingham House since January 2024. I've always felt very welcome and like a part of the family when I go in. They have recently hired a chef who is amazing, & a new hairdresser. The activities are very good & important for the residents. The carers & nurses are very easy to approach & do a great job. The management has recently been replaced and things seem to be working out well there too. All in all, Hassingham House is highly recommended by me!
My mother has been cared for at the home and she has been looked after very well. In the 7 years she has been there the staff have been friendly and helpful with the challenges of dementia. I would recommend this home to anyone with a dementia person.
Mum moved to Hassingham House in April 2024. She had always said that she didn't want to be in a care home and had been looked after by an excellent live-in carer. As her Alzheimer's progressed, we felt that it was the right time to look at a care home. My sisters and I were all worried about the transition but as Mum walked into the care home for the first time, there was a very happy group of staff waiting to welcome her, including the manager, who gave Mum a hug (maybe it was the other way round!). We are so lucky to know that Mum has settled in well, is content, very well cared for, and safe. All the staff - managers, admin, carers, cleaning staff, etc. are fantastic and their caring nature and empathy show through constantly. They are so kind and attentive and always on hand to help in any way they can. Nothing is too much trouble. I always feel welcome when I visit and am so grateful for everything that they do. I can't praise them enough.
My parents came to Hassingham House in April 2021 just after Covid. They were the first residents to go into the home after the pandemic. They were given a double room and were welcomed with open arms. Everyone was so kind and caring. It was a difficult time not just for them but for the family too. The manager is so professional and all the staff are so dedicated to their roles. My father sadly passed away in February this year and the palliative care he was given was outstanding. I stayed with him in the home until he passed and every single member of staff was so kind, caring and understanding not only towards me but to my mum, my brother and all our family members. I would thoroughly recommend Hassingham House Care Home to those of you who are looking for a nursing home for your loved ones.
My brother spent the last few months of his life at Hassingham. The staff there were amazing. Especially his keyworker. She was incredible and we as a family are so grateful to her for her dedication and care of my brother. She really went above and beyond in her care and I know my brother loved and appreciated her. Hassingham has a lovely atmosphere when you walk in, the gardens are beautiful. All of the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
My sister moved into Hassingham House on the 29th January. She was immediately made welcome by the staff. Everyone is so friendly. The home itself is lovely, clean, and feels so homely and inviting. She has made some lovely friends already, with both the staff and the other residents. She is so much happier here already than she was at her last home of 6 years. Having visited her, I was also made to feel so welcome. All the staff go above and beyond. It really is a fantastic home and I wish my sister many happy years here. We as a family cannot fault this home at all, it's amazing.
Our mother has been in Hassingham House for eight months now and we are delighted with the care and support she is receiving; from the management team all the way through to the nurses and carers. There is a real sense of family the moment you step through the door, you are so welcomed and it is very easy to see how happy all the residents and staff are. We tried 3 other homes before finding Hassingham and it is without a doubt, the best we could have possibly hoped for our dear mum. The recent summer fete was a huge success and a lovely fun day for all. We are always encouraged to visit as often as we like and to participate in the events they have planned throughout the year. We cannot recommend Hassingham House enough, nor praise it enough. Absolutely first class.
It is nice that my room is decorated with my favourite football team. I am happy living here. I have lived here for 11 years.
I have lived here for 14 years. The carers are always helpful. The activities staff are fun and full of different ideas. The choice is excellent and they are always here to talk to.
My grandad spent 11 months at Hassingham House Care Centre and they provided excellent care and support for both him and my wider family, particularly at the end-of-life stage. The nurses, carers and wider staff were all fantastic and the management was second to none. They made a difficult time as easy as possible.
My Aunt spent the last 3 years of her life in the wonderful, loving care of the brilliant staff at Hassingham House. Even during the Covid pandemic, the patience and professionalism of all the staff, the level of care and consideration she received never once faltered. The pandemic procedures heaped extra pressure on all the staff, but their strength and resilience always shone through with a smile, with the wellbeing of the residents always being their priority. The level of care, compassion and kindness was ever present and high standards of cleanliness remained exceptionally high. Their professionalism is exemplary and I cannot thank them or praise them enough for all their kindness, patience, understanding, love, care and attention given to my aunt - and to us. Nothing was too much trouble, from the tea ladies to the manager. Thank you all so much.
Today is the anniversary of my father's death. In honour of his memory, I want to (belatedly) pay tribute to my Hassingham family. From my first contact with the manager, I knew Dad was in the safest of hands. He was made to feel at home and thrived under the expert care and attention of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble - ordering his newspaper, helping him with his mobile phone so that we could keep in touch, giving him late-night snacks so that he was never hungry, listening to all his stories and encouraging him to socialise and make new friends. The hospital consultant was full of praise for the quality and consistency of dad's care (which prevented further surgery). They looked after me too, from a card and cake on my birthday to keeping me company late into the night during dad's final hours. Everyone made time and made a difference. Hassingham House is an oasis of kindness and compassion where outstanding care is delivered by exceptional people. Look no further.
