View Full Details of Chilton Meadows Care HomeIt was lovely visiting Mum as everyone was very helpful and put us at ease. Mum was washed and had fresh clothes on every day. They made her smile, which was lovely to see. On our last day, they treated Mum with care and dignity. Thank you to all concerned.
My elderly mother needed nursing care after discharge from another hospital stay and we chose Chilton Meadows as it had an available bed and was quite local. We are so glad that we did, as the care and attention shown to her, and us as a family, over her last weeks was amazing. We could not have asked for more. All the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable, clean, and as happy as she could be and when we came to visit her made us feel very welcome. When she passed away, they were very supportive of us all and allowed us time and space both to be with her and also to sit and grieve. We cannot thank the manager and her team enough for helping her last days to be the best that they could be.
Our experience with Chiltern Meadows was only for a few weeks, but was at a time leading up to our mother's death. Our experience was only positive. Mum was moved to Chilton Meadows from hospital as she needed constant care and help, beyond what we were able to give her as family. From day one we knew she was in good and caring hands. All the staff were really attentive and took a genuine interest, to ensure she was as comfortable and cared for as she could be. She was checked regularly, and with respect. What also struck us, was the way the staff made us, as family, feel cared for. Always a friendly greeting or " can I help you", which made our experience so much easier. Thank you to everyone at Chiltern Meadows for all your care, concern and guidance. We would not hesitate to recommend.
A lovely care home. The staff are very helpful and always so supportive. Always feel welcome here and they keep in contact with us over anything important.
My dad was residing at Chilton Meadows, Constable Suite, since December 2023 until his death in March 2025. I am a consultant geriatrician and I have visited many care homes. Never have I seen such a caring, wonderful and homely environment. All the staff were absolutely wonderful with dad, and he was so beautifully cared for. A huge thanks to everyone, what an amazing team! A special thank you to the manager and her team.
My father in law spent just over the last years of his life at Chilton Meadows Care Home, Constable House. From looking round to his last day the home and staff could not have been better. They recognised what a tough time it was, and made his moving in so smooth. They cared for him superbly, getting to know him and his needs. All the staff were caring and we could not have wished for better. Particular thanks to the carer who went above and beyond. When he entered the last days of his life after another big stroke they palliated him superbly, respecting his wishes, keeping him comfortable, and caring for the family. Thank you all so much.
Very good, excellent care given in all departments. My husband could not have had better care. He was very settled and happy in your care and I'm sure we made the right decision choosing your home. All in we as a family of my husband could not have had better treatment of my husband and us as relatives.
My mother moved to Chilton Meadows in February this year. She has cancer in several parts of her body and is unable to continue living independently. From the very first moment she arrived, her care has been exemplary. The team at Constable House asked for some information about Mum's life so they could have meaningful conversations with her. She has been and continues to be treated with the utmost respect and love. I am so happy we found Chilton Meadows where Mum is happy, comfortable, and above all, cared for in a family environment.
On behalf of my Father, I am delighted to give a 5-star review and if there were more stars to give then my review would be higher. All facilities are good and especially all of the staff who are absolutely wonderful people and apply a first class caring service to the residents.
My Grandmother has Alzheimer's and moved into the home a month ago. We couldn't be happier, she is happy, clean, and content. All the staff are wonderful, so friendly. Nana is enjoying all of the food and activities. We would highly recommend Chilton Meadows.
The carers in Gainsborough House are exceptional and go above and beyond to look after the residents. On the downside, the quality of the food, both ingredients and cooking leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, I would recommend Chilton Meadows.
Since Dad arrived at the home, the staff have been friendly and supportive. If Dad has a fall or medication change, then the nurse in charge has contacted me. My dad nearly always needs a shave when I visit which I presume is due to not having enough staff. One thing that most frustrated my family, is that Dad's slippers always went missing, ever though they were named. We've bought five pairs of slippers. Most of the time there are none in his room for him to wear. The singing entertainment has been very good. Sometimes staff can be on the phoes too much.
Such an amazing place, everyone is very happy and friendly and always such a great atmosphere every time I visit my father-in-law.
My uncle moved here a couple of months ago - he came with his wife (my auntie). Upon visiting, we were very pleased. Great care has been taken to provide my uncle with exceptional care! Staff were pleasant and caring! We were even invited for lunch with my uncle.
To see how my uncle has improved with care and support he has received shows how comfortable he is and demonstrates the level of care. Thank you for making his later years so enjoyable.
Since my dad has moved to the home. We have seen such an improvement in him. It's like he has had a new lease of life.
The care home is excellently run in all areas. My husband is very happy there and the attention to his needs at all times is very good. The staff work very hard to accommodate all possible things to be done for all the residents. Everything that is done for the residents and my husband cannot be faulted. My husband and I feel very lucky that he has the care that he receives from them.
Cannot complain, a lot of staff, most, are very helpful and friendly. Would like to say a big thank you to the activities. More of different choices are possible on menu? A lot of money, but I'm guessing down to the government.
Mum has been a resident since September 2023 and has settled remarkably well. This is due to the care and consideration of all the staff, both to her and us, her family. Being a small family unit it means so much to us all, and we now feel part of a much bigger, loving family. The patience and care by all staff members is more than we could have wished for. Thank you.
My mother went into Munnings House, initially for respite care in February 2023. She is now a permanent resident. The staff have been absolutely amazing. Every person there, regardless of job role, go out of their way to help. They made her so welcome and show such kindness and warmth. I was supported also in the transition of leaving my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. I know she is cared for and happy. I couldn't ask for a better home for her.
