View Full Details of Westin Care HomeI visited Westin Care Home in April to have a show round and to meet with a staff member and the manager for a new care home for my mum as I had concerns about the one she was currently in. They listened to my concerns and acted very quickly in visiting mum the same day and having her moved as soon as possible. I can not fault Westin or any of the staff here, they are all very caring, very efficient and look after mum extremely well. Mum is very happy here, they have her up and about and not rotting away in bed and she is interacting with the other residents as-well. I would recommend Westin to anyone looking for outstanding care for their loved ones.
The staff are a joy to be around, always happy, smiling and you always feel that you can discuss any worries you have with them. The staff encourage the clients to interact with one another. There is a nice garden at the care home where the clients can sit outside, weather permitting. If you visit at lunchtime you are invited to sit with the residents and join them for the meal. All in all I would recommend Weston Care Home to anyone. It's clean and welcoming.
After a spell in hospital suffering from covid,my mother went into Weston care home to convalesce. This was about three years ago and my mother said that if she ever had to be in a care home permanently she would like it to be that one.that time did come and we eventually managed to get mum into westin care home and we are very happy that she is being cared for by the staff there.mum thinks the world of the carers and they really do seem to care for her.nothing is too much trouble for them and I would recommend westin to anyone who needs to find a care home for a loved one.
Westin Care Home has helped our family making the hardest decision of our lives and has proved to be the right decision. My husband is loved and well cared for. The Manager and Deputy Manager are very approachable and any concerns are addressed immediately. The home is kept very clean and no unpleasant smell as you enter. My family and myself are treated like family members by all members of staff. Thank you.
Staff really care here and the manager and assistant manager have a team that work well to ensure residents are supported. Everyone here are amazing and I feel grateful that my mum had as comfortable a stay as she could get. Thank you to everyone who works here caring for people - you are amazing
The manager and his team provide the best possible care for my Aunt and everyone is so friendly and kind and helpful in every way possible. There are always activities every single day for all of the residents .
It was a very difficult decision to recognise that mum was no longer safe to remain in her own property following a fall. After a stay in hospital we started the process of finding a care home. My brother and I were very happy that Westin Whitchurch Village came up on the list with a space, through a friend of friend we had been told it was nice. From the very first visit we both felt it would be a good fit for mum. She has settled in well, the staff are lovely exceptional care treated with dignity has a smile on her face and beginning to put on a little weight. Dementia is horrible, to see our lovely mum getting forgetful progressing to not being able to look after herself has been upsetting. In Westin Care Home we have found somewhere where she is cared for and safe and provides us with peace of mind.
The staff at Westin are wonderful. My dad's progress since he has been at Westin has been amazing. The constant stimulation of interacting with people has helped dad immensely. My dad couldn't be better looked after and I appreciate the care you give him. I hope you realise how invaluable you all are and what a difference you make to people's lives by doing what you do.
My Dad has been in this care home since November - and I have to say it is amazing. The staff are fantastic and the care for all the residents is great. When we visit it is like we are part of the family always being offered coffee and tea. Dad can’t really communicate well so going to visit him could be quite challenging but we are always made so welcome, it is just like visiting family and means we can see Dad and enjoy catching up with other residents, their families, and staff.
Our mum joined the Westin family in November following the death of her husband. It was a very difficult time for all of us. The love and care that has been shown to us all, especially mum has been wonderful. Mum's emotional and physical needs are supported with care, good humour and a great understanding of what works best for her. The staff really take the time to get to know the individual. We feel happy and relieved that mum is safe and well cared for.
Our 84-year-old mum has been a resident at Westin for around seven months now. When she arrived from a village hospital, she still had physical injuries following a fall, she could barely sit up in bed, let alone stand due to being bedridden for four months, and she suffered from advanced dementia. Since her arrival at Westin, she has gradually got stronger and stronger. Her physical injuries have all recovered and she is now merrily walking around, frequently without support. This is completely down to the encouragement and engagement of the staff. The staff and management seem endlessly hard-working and caring. The home is welcoming and friendly, and most importantly of all, mum is happy, settled and has made lots of friends among the staff and residents. We are confident she is in good hands.
My Father-in-law has been very poorly recently and he has been well looked after. Not able to visit that often due to my own health but they have kept me informed and are always willing to talk to me on the phone. Carers all seem very fond of him.
My Mum has been living at Westin for the last eight months. It was a very difficult and upsetting time which was made so much easier by the wonderful staff. This level of care, not only for my Mum but for me, has continued to flourish. Everyone who works there looks after us as a family and I cannot put into words how grateful we are. I cannot recommend Westin highly enough.
My dad has been at this care home for several months. I have had no problems at all - the level of care is amazing and I feel like he is living with extended family. It's really clean, the food looks good and if a person needs feeding, they will feed not leave.
My mother-in-law was moved from hospital to Westin Care home following a fall. Her treatment whilst at the home was fantastic. In her own words, she was treated like a queen in 5-star surroundings. The level of physical care and mental well being were paramount to all the staff. We can't praise the team highly enough, especially two members of staff in particular, whose communication with our family members during Mum's stay, was above and beyond. We can't recommend the home highly enough and thank every member of staff who made her feel safe and looked after and certainly got her on the road to recovery enough to come home.
