My mother has been a resident at Granville Lodge for over 2years now.
She has vascular dementia and some days needs a lot more help/care than other days. At Granville she has been encouraged to socialise and now interacts with staff and residents.
Mum really enjoys all the musical activities.
I
am really happy with mums care and have only praise for all the lovely friendly staff..

From the start one member of staff in particular and his team kept us fully informed of dad's well-being . My dad was there for 14 weeks receiving end of life care. The staff made his last weeks as comfortable as possible and made it more bearable for us by removing as much stress from us as
possible and always keeping us upto date. It was particularly comforting for us to know dad was in a safe and caring environment. I would definitely recommend granville lodge.

Mum went into Granville 2016. She had dementia and could be very challenging for staff at times testing their patience and understanding. Some staff managed to form special bonds with mum managing her better. Communication was exceptional whatever problem arose they always called or explained what
was happening. The home was always kept very clean and tidy. When we did have the odd problem it was rectified quickly. Sadly mum passed away at Granville in April, not due to the virus thankfully. It was so heartbreaking that we couldn’t be with her, we were kept informed on a daily basis during her final weeks. I was able to help out sometimes so was able to see how the staff dealt with everyone and it was always with care and compassion. I can never thank the staff on the Kingfisher Unit enough for keeping mum safe and happy throughout her time with them. It might not be the best-looking home but don’t be misled by looks they are all dedicated and caring to all their patients.

Excellent care. Wonderful staff. Very clean. Could not have wished for my mum to be in a better place.

My mother has severe dementia and her previous care home was lovely but not equipped to look after someone in her condition. She is very well looked after at Granville Lodge - they keep us informed, take great care of her, show affection and interest and do all the physical care which would be
beyond me. I've never had to worry about what goes on or how she's keeping. The staff are brilliant. Facilities are modern, the place is clean, the atmosphere is cheerful, we feel Mum is in safe hands, whatever the future holds.

I have seen a remarkable difference in the home, manager and staff very friendly and the staff seem very caring. I sometimes feel the residents could do a bit more singing but on the whole getting a very good home.
