Fabulous staff. They couldn't have cared more for Mum. Mum has been there for 7 years, they provided the warmest welcome and support for her and the family received exceptional care and support too. We were confident in the fact that mum was cared for extremely well, whether we were there or away on holiday. She passed in the last few days and during this difficult time we cannot fault their support, guidance and care for us and mum. Strongly recommended. Thank you.

Since our loved one joined Granville Lodge in September 2025 the whole team have done so much to make life as comfortable for them as possible. Everyone there really does care about their residents, and communication is handled perfectly. Family members always receive the warmest of welcomes! Thank you all so much.

Mum has only been in Granville for about a month, but in that time , she has settled really well. Her room is spacious and right next to the lounge, which mum spends most of her day, the previous home she was in for 3 months, she never really left her room, only to the dining room.

She joins in all of the activities and seems happy enough ,which is reassuring for us .

Overall Experience
My mum moved to Granville Lodge at the beginning of March 2026. We were extremely impressed by the empathy and care shown to our family and how approachable and personable the Manager and staff were. Every time we visit we are greeted by smiling, friendly staff who have clearly got to know mum and made her feel welcome.
Issues regarding falls have been identified and proactively addressed in a very timely manner and the staff have showed great professionalism.

It is a great reassurance to our family to know that mum is being well cared for and is safe. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and are a credit to the company.

Everything and everyone in this care home are absolutely fantastic. My mother in law is always well looked after and needs for nothing. All the staff are absolutely brilliant and fully focus on residents health and wellbeing. Jo and myself personally want to thank you all for all you hard work. My Mum has been at Granville Lodge for 5 years and really enjoys her time here. We both find the staff to be helpful, kind and very professional.
I have had a lot of contact with both reception, Managers and nursing staff and find them all very commutative and approachable. They care greatly for the residents and each other and there is a great sense of togetherness within the home.
The home has a lovely garden and good facilities for the residents, meal times are sociable and there is always something they can be interacting in.

I can't stress how good their communication is and they are always there to help. I feel Granville Lodge is a nice environment for my Mum and would recommend.

Review from Stephen M (Friend of Resident) published on 14 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I make a weekly visit to a resident of Granville Lodge and always find the staff to be friendly and helpful. There is a pleasant atmosphere in the home with rooms well decorated and pleasing pictures and artwork in corridors and communal areas.
The staff makes every effort to meet the needs and wishes of the resident. A wide variety of activities and entertainment is available but no undue pressure is put on the resident to take part.

The resident enjoys a local trip out in a wheelchair when I visit. This would not be possible without the uncomplaining help of care staff in getting her ready to go out.

The carers in this place are really very helpful, they are taking care of my friend like he is a member of their own family, can't thank them enough. My friend is having really quality time. He used to live alone, but it was a big challenge for him since he has moved to Granville, he is having the proper care he needs in a friendly and efficient way.

My mother has been a resident at Granville Lodge for over 2years now.
She has vascular dementia and some days needs a lot more help/care than other days. At Granville she has been encouraged to socialise and now interacts with staff and residents.
Mum really enjoys all the musical activities.

I am really happy with mums care and have only praise for all the lovely friendly staff..

From the start one member of staff in particular and his team kept us fully informed of dad's well-being . My dad was there for 14 weeks receiving end of life care. The staff made his last weeks as comfortable as possible and made it more bearable for us by removing as much stress from us as possible and always keeping us upto date. It was particularly comforting for us to know dad was in a safe and caring environment. I would definitely recommend granville lodge.

Mum went into Granville 2016. She had dementia and could be very challenging for staff at times testing their patience and understanding. Some staff managed to form special bonds with mum managing her better. Communication was exceptional whatever problem arose they always called or explained what was happening. The home was always kept very clean and tidy. When we did have the odd problem it was rectified quickly. Sadly mum passed away at Granville in April, not due to the virus thankfully. It was so heartbreaking that we couldn’t be with her, we were kept informed on a daily basis during her final weeks. I was able to help out sometimes so was able to see how the staff dealt with everyone and it was always with care and compassion. I can never thank the staff on the Kingfisher Unit enough for keeping mum safe and happy throughout her time with them. It might not be the best-looking home but don’t be misled by looks they are all dedicated and caring to all their patients.

My mother has severe dementia and her previous care home was lovely but not equipped to look after someone in her condition. She is very well looked after at Granville Lodge - they keep us informed, take great care of her, show affection and interest and do all the physical care which would be beyond me. I've never had to worry about what goes on or how she's keeping. The staff are brilliant. Facilities are modern, the place is clean, the atmosphere is cheerful, we feel Mum is in safe hands, whatever the future holds.
