View Full Details of Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing HomeI have always found Beach Lawns to be a very well ran nursing home with friendly, capable staff (on 24/7). My father who suffers with Motor Neurone has been given great care. Also he always mentions how good the food is!
Beach Lawns has been a fantastic environment for my dad. Staff are like part of the family and very well qualified. The social side, food etc is amazing with plenty of activities. The home has adjusted the support to meet my dad's needs and nothing is ever a problem when discussing his care. Highly recommended!
I cannot praise the staff at Beach lawns care home highly enough for the care they are given to my wife. Beach lawns feels like a family; Every member of staff from carers to maintenance and kitchen staff knows and treats the residents with respect and compassion. I have no hesitation in recommending Beach lawns.
Our uncle is 95 years old and has Dementia. He is confused and unsteady on his feet and has fallen a few times so is no longer safe or able to live on his own. Beach Lawns is totally the right place for him, the staff there are caring and genuinely fond of him. He is very well looked after - kept clean, well-fed and well-groomed. He is particular about his appearance and the staff make sure he is showered, shaved and even barbered as necessary, which keeps our uncle's morale high and his well-being in good order. The staff also have the knack of feeding him little amounts, encouraging him but aware that he gets over-faced if his plate is full and the standard of food served and the manner in which his wishes are considered reassure us, his family, that he is being well-nourished. He is safe, secure and content there. In fairness, he is no trouble but the support he receives at Beach Lawns is considerable and very much appreciated. With thanks to you all for looking after him.
We are pleased so far with the care home, all new to us, staff are lovely from office staff and carers. Very friendly and polite, treat mum really well and with dignity + respect. Food is very good and activity staff and activities they offer.
From my first visit I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff. The home was clean and spacious and well laid out. Straight away my mother in law was welcomed and put at ease.
My mum has been at Beach Lawns for 15 months. From the outset she was warmly welcomed and included. She's very happy with her room and thoroughly enjoys the food. Staff are friendly and caring. Myself and my husband are always made to feel welcome when we visit or attend any fetes, fundraisers, Christmas, birthday or mothers day. This genuinely makes it feel like 'home' because we can still be a family unit. The variety of activities is excellent always all inclusive and relevant (valentines day, St Georges day, Olympics, VE days etc) we are extremely happy with mums care.
Wonderful care home. All care home staff are amazing people, helpful treat the patients with dignity. Facilities and entertainment cannot fault. Work extremely hard, nothing too much if needed.
Had a team meeting with council etc. Really good, no dramas. Helper new everything I needed and all they needen to know. Very impressed!! Great care home.
My grandma has been at Beech Lawns for almost 2 years. She was a resident in Memory Lane before being transferred to Sandford unit, where she is currently receiving nursing care. The staff are all amazing, being very attentive and friendly. There are plenty of activities always on offer and events throughout the year which cater for everyone. She has a nice room with views of the sunsets which is kept clean and tidy. The food always looks good with a variety of options. Overall I have been extremely happy with her care at Beech Lawns and would thoroughly recommend.
My auntie was taken into emergency care on Christmas Eve at 4.30 in the afternoon, had it not been for the wonderful, amazing staff, she would not have survived. I had the pleasure of meeting them all on the 15th January and all I can say is wow, they go above and beyond not only for the residents but for their families also. Cannot thank them all enough, each and every one of them. I came away feeling content in the knowledge of knowing my aunt is cared for. Thank you.
My brother arrived at Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home in the summer, looking thin and gaunt and fragile and very confused. Each time I have visited, he has improved. On my latest visit, he was better than ever. So happy and well and contented. I know that this is thanks to all the care and personal attention you have given to him. I cannot come too often but I know when I leave him he is in good hands. With many thanks.
Wonderful staff, lovely home, the staff go above and beyond for residents, activities staff like to include everyone. Home manager is welcoming and always happy to help and support. Cleaning team makes sure the home is immaculate, kitchen staff provide lovely options.
My family have been very happy with the care my mother received during her three years at Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home. She was treated with kindness and consideration and was lucky enough to make some good friends amongst the residents. The staff ensured that she remained in the unit where she felt most comfortable and had the support of her friends. We always felt we could approach the staff with queries or concerns and were always listened to with patience and understanding.
In the three-plus years that my mother lived in Beach Lawns Residential and Nursing Home, it was so reassuring to know she was being well looked after. Any concerns that cropped up could be discussed with the staff and dealt with promptly. Everyone there was very caring and supportive. My mother also made good friends amongst the other residents and that was lovely to see. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Beach Lawns to anyone and would like to thank all of the staff for their care and support.
Could not be more satisfied with the care and attention given. The staff are absolutely "stars" in all respects.
Super care home, the place was always clean and well-maintained with pleasantly decorated surroundings. Residents have a variety of activities and are well looked after. That said, the stand-out stars are the staff, all were very caring to Mum and seemed happy in their work, thank you to five members of staff, in particular, and all their colleagues for looking after Mum.
Very friendly people and very good carers. Nice rooms and a lovely location with good parking the establishment always looks clean, front reception staff are very friendly also. Overall a nice atmosphere.
It's very welcoming and the staff a very kind friendly and helpful. It's just a great place to be. It's that simple.
My mom lived at Beach Lawn Home for over four years and recently passed while in the fast-track program nursing area. Overall, I was very pleased with her care. The staff was very caring and provided good care while in the main living area. I lived abroad, and when visiting, I found the home to be very clean, tidy and overall professionally managed. If your loved one transfers to the nursing section of Beach Lawns, and you live a distance away, I would recommend arranging to have relatives or close friends visit regularly. In addition, we hired professional caregivers to visit regularly. Initially, when my mom transitioned into the nursing section, her room window was left open all night during December and was discovered the next morning by a relative - the room was extremely cold. In addition, bathing care was not the best, as her hands and bed sheets were found to be soiled. After talking with the administrator (the second-in-command main administrator was out of the office), the situation was corrected.
