View Full Details of OaktreeThis is the third respite stay, so I'm obviously impressed. My husband seemed to be well cared for. The staff are wonderful and happy to speak to me on the phone whenever I phone them. I am not aware of what activities my husband took part in, so I cannot comment on value for money, as I am self-funding.
My lovely Nana has been living in Oaktree on the upper floor for nearly 5 years. Every time I see my Nana she is content, loved and involved with daily activities. I couldn't ask for better care, empathy and compassion from the staff. Thank you for looking after the most important lady in my life - it means the world! Particular mention to Tracy, Chris, Trudy, Terri and Simon for always doing what's right for my loved one.
Since coming to Oaktree Care Home, I have been very happy taking part in all of the activities. It has opened new doors for me and I have made new friends. All the staff are very friendly and dedicated. The activity staff work hard to bring smiles to the faces of the residents, even on a rainy day!
My mum is very happy at Oaktree Care Home, she enjoys all the entertainment that's provided by them.
The staff from day one have been so welcoming and friendly to my nan and myself. The staff made a real effort to understand my nans needs and have given her dignity. I wouldn't want my nan anywhere else now. I fully trust Oaktree.
We found out about Oaktree Care Home from a friend. I must say it was so timely. On visiting (only 5 mins from our home), we met with a member of staff and everything felt so calm, and they really instilled confidence in us that we were doing 'the right thing'. We then met with the manager, who was new to managing the home. She was lovely when first meeting my mother-in-law, instantly building a great rapport with us all. Everybody is so kind, caring and understanding.
Lovely first experience for my grandmother. Welcomed with flowers and a caring display manager, homely fell to the facility.
Very helpful from initial enquiry to admission and beyond. Everyone has gone out of their way to help my mother settle in and make her feel welcome in her new home.
On Friday 7th March 2025, two staff and 8 residents went to the aquarium in Bristol city for a day trip. We traveled by minibus. the driver was very helpful getting residents settled on the wheelchairs. 3 choir volunteers came to push wheelchairs, they came by car. We saw the sharks being fed, after a packed lunch we walked round the harbor as it was sunny. We had a sing song on the way home and a big thanks to staff.
I am so pleased with the care and support Mum has at Oak Tree. Staff are friendly and communicate well. Mum has been here over a long period of time and we as a family are thrilled she is here. 100% happy!
Although Mum is not happy here, this can be said of every care home she has been in. Sadly, this is probably part of her condition and I do not personally believe that things are as bad as she makes out! Most of the staff are attentive and supportive. A larger variety of menu choices would be appreciated, I think.
I have been visiting the home for a long time now and have always found the staff on Buttercup extremely helpful and caring. My brother receives very good care and is settled and happy with he staff who look after him.
It is always a pleasure to visit this bright and cheerful home. I have been made to feel most welcome by the staff. The meals are good and wholesome from a personal point of view I should like to see more variety in the vegetables but maybe that's just me! The patients are not always offered wet wipes before their meals. In the interest of cleanliness, I think this is important.
Staff have made a difficult experience easier. Met with kindness and compassion. All staff very friendly.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Grampy seems comfortable and well looked after.
Veery lovely staff. Great homely feeling. Grampy seems very well cared for.
My mother has only just arrived in the care home, although we were all very upset about her moving out of her home. She seems to be quite content here, the nurses are lovely and there is always something going on to keep mum occupied. The rooms are small but homely.
The home looks clean and tidy and staff are polite and helpful. Rooms are able to be personalised and as homely as possible given the space available. Activities are available but are not always to mothers taste. She enjoys the pampering and bingo. The food sounds nice but sometimes the vegetables are harder than is liked.
Dad has felt comfortable at Okatree since he first arrived. The feel of the home is lovely + I have never worried about him + his care. Fantastic care home with lovely staff.
My mum moved to Oaktree a year ago, it was difficult decision to place mum in a care home but from the first conversation with the Deputy Manager I was reassured that their purpose was to care for my mum and the team has really demonstrated that and this has given me great comfort. They quickly got to know her and her likes and dislikes and have made her new home very comfortable. They contact me immediate to ask questions or provide information about her health, even using video call to show her how a mobile phone worked. When I visit I see how they care for residents with in some cases progressive dementia with patience and compassion. I'd like to thank all the staff, keep up the great work. Your CQC result is well deserved.
