View Full Details of St Benet's CourtMy sister came to St Benet's from another care home in July this year. From the outset she was treated with kindness and respect. She settled in at the home very quickly and her care needs were monitored immediately including a review of her medication from her new GP. . My sister has advanced dementia but she is still treated as one of the family, being included in many activities on her own terms . She has also spent some time in the garden enjoying the fresh air. I cannot speak highly enough about the care my sister is receiving . It's lovely to see her smiling again.
Our mum received excellent personalised care over 18 month period , despite the challenges she presented with behaviour relating to Alzheimer's Disease . She was afforded privacy and treated with dignity, including at the end of her life. Nursing care was responsive when her needs changed suddenly and communication was good, especially when she started to deteriorate. Thank you St Benets.
My mum moved to St Benets in August of this year when she could no longer be safe at home my mum is recovering from a hip fracture and she has mixed dementia, I would just like to say on behalf of myself my brother and the entire family how pleased we are that we moved her to this care home she has been shown great respect and dignity and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the carers that work there. Mum now seems to have settled in nicely, we are relived that she is now safe and content with her surroundings, thanks again to Michelle, Lisa and the entire team for all you do.
Our mother moved to St Benet's from another care home locally as we believed that she would benefit from a smaller, more hands on approach to care. She is not one for joining in with activities but is happy to observe at least and we were keen for her not to withdraw and be ignored. St Benet's staff are all, without question, the most attentive and caring staff we have encountered. The enthusiasm for their roles is clearly delivered from the top, with superb leadership. There is always someone on hand to talk to and get updates from with regards to how our mother is doing and being far away, this is incredibly important to us. In a very sad and complicated situation, we are incredibly grateful for the care and support of the home in making our mother's end of life care as comfortable as it could be. Thank you
Mum came to stay at St Benets following a long period of hospital treatment. It was no longer safe for her to live at home. From the outset Mum was treated with dignity and respect and as one of the 'family'. Mum had vascular dementia and many other chronic health conditions. She was given an 'MOT' by her new GP including her meds. Health conditions and weight were monitored and I was kept up to date with her care plan.Visiting hairdresser and podiatrist were immediately booked. The home cooked meals from scratch were a great improvement for Mum who was kept well supplied with coffee and home made cake too. Mum was not too keen on joining in, she was encouraged to do so but on her own terms. Going out in the garden, fresh air, the birds were lovely. The inclusion of the private FB group was fantastic as we live far away. I can't speak highly enough of the staff at St Benets, nothing was too much trouble. The care and kindness shown to Mum and to us has been exemplary. Thanks x
I have only visited St Benet's a couple of times so far, but as soon as I was greeted at door by the manager and taken through to the lounge to see my friend, I knew this Residential Home was a good one compared to several I have had to visit when supporting a Resident. The Staff were respectful to the Residents and spent time talking and explaining things to them. I was offered drinks and when I requested a wheelchair to be able to take my friend outside into the garden, the Staff got one straightaway for me. One of the staff requested more information from me about my friend, so they could understand and get to know my friend much better. So far, I cannot fault St Benet's Residential Home. Thank you for being so caring.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at St Benet's for over a year now, after her needs increased due to Alzheimer's disease. The manager and all the staff have been kind and caring towards my mother-in-law and us as a family, even in the most difficult times - catering for her individual requirements and happiness. We are kept up to date with any changes and information to the care plan, and are welcome to visit at any time.
My mother's need for a nursing home occurred after a spell in hospital and I was concerned that she would be placed anywhere with space - it was the week before Christmas. As her daughter, I felt immense pressure to find her somewhere she would be happy. Mum and I arrived at St Benet's and were met with smiles and warmth from the staff which was very reassuring. The manager went through the induction and introduced us to other members of staff taking time to ask detailed questions on every topic of mum's needs and likes/dislikes of her daily routine. Fast forward 2 months and mum regularly tells me that she is very happy at St Benet's and doesn't want to leave, ever, even when I offered to look for a new home elsewhere. The manager and every single one of her staff work tirelessly to ensure that all residents are cared for, requests for assistance are met immediately and the atmosphere is relaxed, warm and welcoming, whatever time of day. She's made friends and that gives me peace of mind.
My stepmum came to St Benet's court just before Christmas and has settled in really well. The staff has looked after her and cared for her brilliantly. We can see such an improvement in her health and wellbeing in such a short time of being there. The home is very welcoming staff is always there and happy to help. We couldn't have wished for a better outcome in her care. Keep up the good work St Benet's court you are doing great.
The level of care at St Benet's Court is excellent. The staff went above and beyond and treated my nan with such care and patience. Unfortunately she didn't get to enjoy all of the facilities for long as she became very poorly but nothing was too much trouble whilst she was there. In her last days, the staff were incredible. They treated my nan with such dignity and really cared for us as a family. I am so thankful that my nan was able to be somewhere as wonderful as St Benet's in her final days and I can't thank them enough for everything they did for us.
My grandmother moved to St Benet's Court after living at home became impossible for her. We were initially worried how she would settle owing to her dementia, but we needn't have been concerned. The staff are very caring, hard-working and go above and beyond, the food is great and there are always activities to keep the residents stimulated and entertained. We have the peace of mind that our grandmother is safe, well-looked after and happy.
It's hard enough dealing with the anxiety of an ill relative, let alone trying to find a suitable care home. St Benet's Court made this very simple and were very accommodating. The staff are very pleasant and engaging, all the things I was worrying about I needn't have. Dad settled in and was safe and happy.
All the staff are caring and treat all residents as one big family. The facilities are excellent and our Mum was very happy and all our family members were always made very welcome when visiting. Thanks to the manager and all the staff for the care and peace of mind they have given us.
I had the pleasure of attending St Benet's Court last year and I was very impressed by how my great aunt was looked after and how friendly the staff were. The home was lovely and clean, the other residents were also very happy. It's lovely to see on social media, the activities they enjoy including the pet therapy. Overall a lovely home with a fantastic team of staff which is rare to find these days.
Mum was admitted to St Benet's in November 2020. This was during Covid lockdown. Unable to visit regularly I was very anxious- however, I was informed regularly of how she was. Mum was given the best care by all. There were several management changes and when the current manager arrived the care and communication increased even more. Unfortunately Mum died in February 2024 but right up to the end her care was amazing and I always felt nothing was too much bother.
As a family, we are so pleased that my sister is being cared for by such loving dedicated members of staff at St Benet's. The home is very clean and warm and the food for the residents is exceptional. Thank you St Benet's.
My 94-year-old mum received wonderful care. The staff were so kind, patient, and very caring. The home is very nicely decorated and very spacious, the home-cooked food is great and Mum's room was lovely. Sadly she had a stroke so wasn't there for a long time. My daughters and I were looked after so well when we kept visiting Mum near the end. I couldn't have wished for a nicer place for Mum to end her days.
My mother has received excellent care in her time at St Benet's. You always feel you are part of a cheerful and supportive community when you visit. Mum's room is lovely, the facilities are clean and inviting with lots of activities going on, and the food is good. The care staff and management are genuinely engaged with the residents, both caring and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. I have especially appreciated the excellent communication and support with Mum's increasing care needs. We feel fortunate to have found St Benets.
The home is just great - nice and small and there is always a nurse in with the residents and they are so helpful with lovely smiling faces. They send out regular updates and this is great because I feel that I am there with my Mum more often than I actually am. Thanks, St Benet's.
The staff are always so helpful and happy, they keep us informed on how mum is doing on a very regular basis. the home is always clean and the decor is nicely refreshed which is a big plus for us, that along with the care they give Mum we are very happy with St Benet's.
