Mum moved to Deer Park at the end of December 2025.
She has been welcomed warmly and is cared for by a friendly happy team of great carers and nurses who understand mum and have the experience and ability to care for her.
Other members of the family have been to visit had have remarked that the
atmosphere at Deer Park is happy and friendly, inviting, clean and bright with some fantastic light elements, the staff are kind and are happy to help- tea is always available :)

My 99 year old Mum was the first resident to arrive at Deer Park when it recently reopened. As the only resident she was treated like royalty and as more and more residents arrive she continues to receive the same wonderful care and, when required, nursing. From the very beginning when Mum was being
considered for discharge from North Devon Hospital I was constantly contacting Sue, the manager at DP, to see if they were ready to take new residents. The responses were always prompt and very reassuring and thankfully we got a call to say that DP were ready to welcome her.
It's a worrying time for family but the whole team whether it be Sue or Nic (admin) or any of the nursing or care team have removed almost all of those concerns as we know she is safe, warm and extremely well cared for. One other aspect worthy of mention is the food. The quality and variety of meals offered is exceptional, it all just adds to the knowledge that my Mum couldn't be in a better place.
