The care given to my husband was very food. My only concern was the length of time it took for an alarm bell to be answered but appreciate all staff are busy. The alarm/call bell also was not very secure if a patient had limited movement.

Mom came to the Greenslades in February 25 until the 11th of Jan 2026 when she sadly passed away. I cannot thank the staff the nurses and the carers for the Care and kindness towards my mum especially during her final days. the quality of Care here is excellent. Everybody cares to a high standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Greenslades to anyone for their loved one. I shall miss the staff and coming in to see Mom in her lovely room. I am forever grateful for making her last days comfortable and giving us the time and Space to be with her and say goodbye, thank you from the bottom of my heart Loraine

My father has been a resident here since March 2025 and he has received the very best care in that time. In fact he has thrived as the caring staff have got him eating again and offer him regular snacks if he refuses a main meal. The staff are brilliant they welcome me and I feel so relieved to have
them care for dad when I no longer can. They phone me with any concerns and sometimes just to reassure me Dads ok ! Dad has a care plan in place which they share with me. It's such a lovely environment so happy with so many activities on offer !

Very caring, really respectful and supportive and all the staff are friendly and welcoming, they are really looking after my mum in the best way possible. Clean and tidy and good food and entertainment too.

My father was a resident of Greenslades for two and half years prior to his recent passing. Throughout all of that time the care he received and was excellent in all aspects and communication was very good.
Whilst the decor of the Home would benefit from being updated, it is clean and the food is
good. There are a variety of daily activities offered for residents to join in with, including outdoors when the weather allows.
However, what really makes this Home is the staff looking after the residents. They really are a first class team, doing a often difficult job with kindness and good humour whilst always remaining professional and compassionate.

My father was a resident for just a short time - 8 months, but during his stay, he received top quality care and medical treatment. All aspects of his stay were dealt with professionally and with dignity and respect.

I cannot fault the care provided to my dad for the few weeks that he was at Greenslades. Nursing and care staff were very friendly, helpful and cheerful which really helped when visiting dad. Everything was handled professionally and sensitively. Thank you to everyone at Greenslades.
One bit of
feedback for Sanctuary Care is that the process to access the building proved difficult on occasions as the reception is not staffed at evenings and weekends. This meant relying on the already busy care staff to allow access when they get the chance. Waiting to get in with elderly or disabled relatives is not ideal. A minor point and no reflection at all on the great team that looked after dad.

My mother is being well looked after by caring staff. She is a somewhat challenging resident; she has been dealt with in a professional and caring manner, putting on weight and allowing them to help her with tasks. The nurse in charge on the floor is very good, and keeps me updated.

Since my mum moving to Greenslades from a care home in Exeter in April things have been very good after a tricky start. The staff are very helpful and I feel my mum is happy. My only gripe would be that when my mum is in the living room she is seated into a proper chair with her legs slightly
elevated.

I would like to register my appreciation for the way the staff at Greenslades are caring for my sister. From the manager through the nurses and their care assistants they conduct themselves professionally and with sensitivity and good humour.
Without naming names I can say that you are fortunate
to have individuals on your staff with very high standards of care.

My husband's experience at Greenslades for 3 months, was not a happy one.
He had multiple physical needs ( he had end stage Parkinson's as well as other serious health conditions) which were not always met by overworked nursing staff.
Any exercise, (even just helping him to stand) which would have
encouraged him, was frustratingly denied him, because of staff shortage, and he was left in bed or his chair most of the day, unless family intervened.
Staff were friendly and helpful when asked. Some staff were excellent and went out of their way to help him.
Perhaps the greatest shock was being interrupted with my son, as my husband was taking his dying breaths, to be asked by a nurse why we had no funeral plan.
Greenslades undoubtedly suits the loved ones of many families but I do not recommend it for someone with multiple complex needs, especially end stage Parkinson's.

It has been wonderful to see the improvements in my mum's mental and physical health since moving into Greenslades. She is clean, well-fed, bright and happy. The staff are fantastic with her and have taken the time to get to know her well. Mum really enjoys the variety of activities and loves having
the company of the other residents and staff. The food is excellent and mum enjoys it all. It is a huge relief to our family to know that Mum is so well cared for and is happy and thriving, despite her Alzheimers.

The staff at the home were excellent during my father's stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were always welcoming. They were happy to chat about what had happened during the day. The room was a good size and the lounge was very homely. Although Dad was only there for a short time
his care and attention were greatly appreciated.

I found the staff to be very professional, kind and helpful. The home was always clean and they were having home improvements done as well, painting etc. The staff were approachable and would always answer any questions you had.

All the staff are really friendly and caring and helpful my parent classes them as friends. The bedroom is always kept clean and tidy, clothing and bedding always looks fresh.
The food is of good quality and plenty of it, drinks are readily available.
There are plenty of daily activities to keep
everyone occupied and you do have the choice to participate or not - nothing is forced onto you.
There is a social media page where you can see what the nursing home has been doing so for families who cannot visit as often they can see what activities the residents are participating in.
The home is very quick to get in touch if there are any concerns with my parent which is very reassuring to us all.

Mum is extremely happy there! Whenever a medical problem arises they are so quick to act on it and resolve it. Couldn't ask for better care.
All in all, I am so relieved that Mum is in such a lovely safe environment where I know that she is being cared for to such a high standard. The staff are
amazing.
