The home is very well run, clean and well set up. Staff are caring and compassionate. I have marked value for money as good because this level of care is very expensive but on par with other care homes.

As soon as I went into Amberwood House, I felt the positive attitude of the staff there. The team are always working hard together to support the residents. They are always thoughtful and caring and work as a team cheerfully to produce a very caring and dignified environment. As a visitor, I am
always welcomed whenever I turn up, and I feel that I have come to be a friend to many of the staff. My husband is well looked after and is always treated with dignity. The management obviously run the home with great efficiency and have been very helpful to me.

My mother came to Amberwood following surgery for a fractured hip. The nursing team took over her rehabilitation, and within a few days she was out of bed using a walking aid.
Her dietary requirements have been met by the chef and dining room staff, for which we are grateful.
My mother has
complex health problems with various medications which have been managed in a very professional manner, which her family really appreciate.
Owing to her immobility, and having lived alone for many years, she finds it difficult to participate in communal activities.

Came here from hospital. Have been very happy here, everyone so friendly. Like a 5 star hotel. Food good. Lots to do everyday.

It would be quite rare for me to pass a comment on a paid service provider, however for Amberwood House I am very pleased to make an exception;
2 days before Christmas, Mum fell and broke her leg and wrist, Dad has dementia and we needed support, quickly.
Hannah drove all the way to Luton to
assess Mum and Dad's needs, 48 hours later they were in rest bite at Amberwood House.
10 weeks on, Mum and Dad are still in rest bite and part of the furniture. I can say with all honesty that every member of staff from top to bottom go the extra mile, with a smile, a little chat and when Mum went to Hospital for a visit last Sunday, Jill from the Nursing Team, Peter from the care team and Maddie (nearly head of everything - team) all went far and beyond to see that Dad was being looked after in Mums absence.
The food is amazing, the surroundings are like a 4 star hotel, its clean, friendly and always has an activity for the residents to take part in.
Well done, keep it up.

A very pleasant stay recovering from a knee operation. All staff very willing and kind. Lovely atmosphere everyone treated as an individual. A home from home.

All the staff are very professional and the home is very well managed, so much so my mother in law is now a permanent resident.

A safe and secure home which cares for my wife's physical needs, her disabilities (sight loss + immobility) tends to curtail her ability to participate in the 'social' activities in the home. While there is little that can be done, the room size creates a level of discomfort and a 'stuffy'
atmosphere, and air circulation is a problem. The home is welcoming to friends and family, and good for morale.

I visit Amberwood House several times a week with the wife of one of your residents. On every occasion this lady is greeted by her name and all staff are friendly and welcoming. The home is warm, always clean and has a lovely atmosphere. I would not hesitate to recommend this home, It is the best I
have been connected to. The manager is always around, stops for a chat etc - her staff are a credit to her. A very special home I think.

My mother has been a resident at Amberwood House for the last nine years. The care that Mum has received has been excellent during this time. As Mum's health has deteriorated staff have adapted to her needs and take time to explain what they are doing, because of her hearing and dementia.

We are finding Amberwood House a very safe, homely and happy place for our mum to be in. Every member of staff that we have met has been very loving and caring to Mum. The food is very good but Mum would welcome more plain and simple food.

I was my mother-in-law's carer prior to her move to Amberwood House and I harboured fears that she may not receive the same care as I had been giving. Oh my goodness, I was so wrong to worry! Every member of staff, no matter which department they work in, has become our extended family. Their care,
love and devotion to all residents is wonderful to see and be a part of. Amberwood is truly a special place and the staff there all give 100%, every day in every way. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart.

From the moment you arrive at Amberwood House, you are greeted with smiles and treated like part of a family. I feel so lucky that my mum now has a second family to look after her, everyone from the companions, cleaning, medical, management and carers take time out to check and engage with my mum,
above what would be considered as their normal job role. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care and love they give to my mum and all our family.

Mum has been in Amberwood House for 2 years now. She has settled in really well. My daughter and I looked at other care homes in the area but Amberwood was the best that we saw. The staff are all excellent, from the kitchen through to the nursing staff and everyone is committed to providing the best
of care with dignity. It is very important as a family that we are secure in the fact that Mum is in the best place and with the best care and Amberwood surpasses that at every level.

The way they all care for my grandmother is beyond our expectations. The consideration of all the staff towards my grandmother is exceptional, always ready to talk and update on any matter.
As she comes towards end-of-life nowhere could be better for her to spend her final days.

My father has been a resident at Amberwood House since June 2018. The care and support he receives has always been excellent and all the staff are very supportive and friendly. When we see the manager, she is always very welcoming and takes the time to talk to us, an outstanding manager. The
activities are very good and my father particularly enjoys the minibus trips out to local places. It feels very homely and I feel confident that my father is in a safe place and looked after very well. Nothing seems too much trouble and the staff go out of their way to help.
Thank you to everyone who works there!
I would not hesitate to recommend Amberwood House, it is the best care home!

At first, I was not looking forward to entering a care home as I had heard so many bad reports. My daughter found Amberwood House for me and I must admit I have been very happy since being here. Lovely caring staff, excellent food and everything run at an extremely high standard. Amberwood House is
tops and now home for me.

My mother has lived happily here for eleven months now. The care and attention to detail are of a very high standard. All the staff are very kind and attentive. It was the best decision to choose this home for my mother. The companion team have absolutely made a huge difference in Mum's life. The
home manager is an excellent manager and always has time for Mum and the relatives.
