View Full Details of St James' Park Care HomeBrilliant managent and care. Excellent communication. Always done their best with Dad even if he was being difficult. Best care he has had. Thank you.
Dad has been at St James Park Care Home for 3 years now. He is very pleased with the care he receives from the staff. All the staff are very friendly and caring. He likes the food provided and usually he can select something he likes from the menu of the day. If there is medical problem (such as a bed sore on his return from a stay in hospital) the attention it receives is excellent.
I am so pleased that my Mum has come to live here. Everyone at St James' is so helpful, caring and friendly from the office staff to the nurses and all the carers. The range of activities are varied, fun and well thought out enabling residents with a range of capabilities to take part. My Mum has settled in very well , and has already been included in a wonderful outing perfect for her interests. The building is light and airy, everything is kept spotlessly clean. The staff are very kind , patient and really go above and beyond to care for the residents.
Although my Uncle was not a long term resident the care and compassion he received was exemplary. The staff were all very helpful, cheerful and friendly. The activities well thought out and full of laughter. The room and shared areas were always clean and bright and well maintained. Well done to everyone who works here.
I can't express how much your exceptional care meant for us when you cared for our Mum for 15 months until last Friday. My emotions are raw but I have personally messaged one of the staff to thank you all for your support and attention you gave her even though she couldn't participate in activities. My drive up and down to see her from Derbyshire was always made easier knowing she was in the best care. From my heart thank you all x
St James' Park Care Home, Bradpole, have wonderful staff & I never need to worry about my mum. The whole care home is run so well, I can't fault anything.
We are really happy with the care that my Mum is receiving. As I live a long way away from Dorset now, it is a huge relief to know that she is safe, warm and well cared for. Thanks to all the staff at St. James for your dedication and professionalism.
All staff are invariably friendly and helpful and they clearly provide a high standard of care. They have coped admirably and patiently with the challenging behaviour of the resident concerned. The dedication of the staff deserves high praise.
My father went into St James' due to needing 24-hour nursing care. From the first meeting with the Manager, the home visit, meeting the lady in finance and his arrival on move in day, we were made to feel very welcome. The home itself is well maintained, warm, clean and secure. It is an old building surrounded by tall trees. The rooms vary in size. The food options were freshly cooked. Every member of the staff were polite, smile, willing and genuinely seemed to care. We were especially grateful to Jake who dressed and shaved my father in his final days and treated him with dignity. Our most grateful thanks go to the nurse on site who always greeted myself and my sister with a smile, a gentle update on my father's deteriorating health and genuinely cared about my Dad and us. The home came highly recommended and I can see why. We have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Thank you for the care you showed us after my father sadly passed away, much appreciated.
I enjoyed my stay in St James'. The care and kindness shown to me was excellent from all members.
The staff at St James' Park have gone out of their way to welcome my mum and to make her comfortable. She has a lovely room. The home is bright and airy and everyone ensures that all her needs are being met. Mum is settling in well and she looks ten years younger!
Being in this care home for nearly three years after various hospitals before, I can honestly say it has been and still is a very happy experience. All the staff are very pleasant and respond to my bell ringing for attention at a reasonable time. As regards to cleanliness, to me it's very good indeed, both the rooms, bed linen, my personal clothes and my personal cleanliness. I look forward to each day, also the chef inspired meals are very good and tasty indeed.
Management and staff very good, look after dad's needs very well. Always very helpful and accommodating.
I have been a resident here for just over 12 months and have found the staff very helpful and looked after me very well. The home is well-maintained and kept very clean. The food is well prepared and a good varied menu to choose from. I am very happy here and have no complaints. I have a very nice room with countryside views and a good internet connection.
I cannot praise St James' Park Care Home high enough. I visit my husband every afternoon and I enjoy talking to other residents. I always look forward to my visits. The manager and staff are always friendly. I just can't, as I say, praise it enough and I am unable to find any complaint whatsoever and I couldn't wish my husband to be in a better home than this.
Very friendly, always welcoming especially the manager. The residents are very well cared for.
The food is good and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Work is carried out with happy smiles, care and attention. I am always made to feel cared for and at home. Whatever request I make because of my disabilities and inabilities. Brilliant entertainment from craft work to visiting singers and TV's are provided. Trips away are possible also, we are all jollied along with keenness to cater for individual interests. My visitors are always welcomed and happy, previous residents come back to visit. The unpleasant caring tasks are carried out with happy patience!
Mum appears very happy. Staff are wonderful to her. Always laughing and joking with her, as Mum loves banter. Recently, Mum has been getting up in a chair, which is an amazing achievement. Also, spent time out in the garden. Staff are friendly, and we are made to feel welcome.
St James felt like home immediately. My large room is getting more like home every day, what with sorting my stuff from home, plenty of room to give my favourite bits of old favourites and old friends pieces of furniture and other familiar things such as my radio, lamps, pot plants and pieces of furniture completed the feeling of home, which is exciting, just what I was hoping for, so many thanks. I can't tell who many of the staff are just wish they wore name tags. Activity ladies do something every afternoon that patients can take part in or not but always something they've put a lot of thought into. As for the food - very good. No complaints at all.
Though my husband only had a short time to live, when he arrived at the home, he was welcomed in with sincere warmth and every effort was made to engage with him and to make him as comfortable as possible. As his condition rapidly deteriorated, was treated with great dignity and care. The staff were very kind and supportive with our family and me. When he died, the level of compassion and empathy, we received was truly wonderful. We will be eternally grateful to the lovely manager and her wonderful staff. Many thanks.
