Latest Reviews for Bay Tree Court Residential Care Home

I cannot fault any aspect of the care my late father received at Baytree Court. From the moment he arrived in May 2025 he was made to feel special. Everyone went out of their way to ensure he was well looked after; this was not just confined to the care team but included all of the support team
members too.
The atmosphere within the home was always friendly and positive. There was a wide range of activities to suit all tastes and the food on offer was always fresh, appetising and varied. The cleanliness of the home was exemplary.
Sadly my father was taken ill in December 2025 and he spent his final days at Baytree. The end of life care he received as well as the loving support that I and my family experienced in his final days helped make an extremely difficult time more bearable.

Unfortunately, my Mum was only in Bay Tree Court 5 days before she sadly passed away. However, during that time she received the utmost care and respect from all the staff who attended her. They were always cheerful; nothing was too much trouble and on more than one occasion they went the extra
mile. It was clear to see these were staff who loved their jobs and were dedicated to providing a high level of care sensitively and sympathetically, but always professionally. They tended to my Mum showing the utmost respect for her dignity in her final hours and were also kind and caring to us as we waited for the inevitable passing of my Mum. Their care for Mum, and us, on that night and the support they gave us, in very distressing circumstances, was nothing short of exemplary.

A friend became a resident. She was extremely happy at the Home. The staff were all caring, compassionate, industrious and could relate to the individual needs of each resident. Well trained and focussed. The room with en suite was comfortable and with the opportunity to personalise it with
ornaments and pictures. The food was wonderful with meals in the dining room with fellow residents and beverages mid morning and afternoon. Events held within the Home and day excursions occasionally to venues outside. A happy place to be.

Such a lovely place to entrust your loved one to. All the staff are lovely and they are always visible so it's not a place you would ever feel lonely. They made everything from moving in to the finances easy and relaxed and they are always happy to help and offer advice and support even though I'm
not the resident just the daughter. Very happy both my parents are here.

Mum has now been in Bay Tree for 18 months; she moved after a year in another Home where she was just not happy and complained constantly which was very difficult. After initial teething issues (only with medication) she is very happy and settled, and frequently says it's better service than a 4*
hotel! The staff are absolutely fantastic, caring, kind and cheerful. The cleaning and laundry staff do an excellent job, and I cannot praise the kitchen staff enough who go to so much trouble to work around dietary issues and tastes, the food is fantastic. Fiona is hands-on and approachable, and when you do get the odd issue, gets it sorted promptly and efficiently. Mum has no wish to socialise or join in the numerous activities and she is fully supported in that, with all meals/drinks and snacks brought to her room. Staff pop in constantly to check she is ok, and all her medical needs are looked after including regular physio. I cannot recommend it more highly.

The welcome was very warm and friendly. Carers will seek you out to check on your wellbeing and are always full of caring chat
The keep fit activities were caring, warm and helpful
The religious activities were welcoming and friendly

I am very pleased with the support and care Mum receives. There is considerable effort put in to encourage her to be involved in the numerous and varied activities on offer. She particularly enjoys the music, singing and dancing! The staff are able to spend time with Mum, to help her with the ups
and downs of adjusting to life in a care home. Mum's faith is important to her. She likes to take part in the church activities and is taken to weekly church services. I am impressed with the bespoke care and support which is provided. Staff are so welcoming and kind - Thank you!

The entrance area is welcoming and has changing displays. All staff are friendly and approachable. Concerns have been followed up promptly by management. The resident is being well cared for with good attention to her comfort and safety. She has received regular physiotherapy, personal care and
meals and drinks. The cleanliness of the room, corridors and communal areas is excellent.

What strikes me about my visits to my sister at Bay Tree Court Care Centre is the warm atmosphere and friendliness of the staff to both residents and visitors On the two occasions I have visited to date there have been 'active' activities, music and dancing on one occasion and exercises on the other
with outside leaders. This interactive nature of activities I am sure creates a positive atmosphere for all (residents, staff and visitors) as opposed to a passive video. I have been told by other family members and seen photos in the care centre which show that activities are a regular occurrence, for example a boat trip.

Dad has been at Bay Tree Court for a week. It was a difficult decision to move made by Dad.

Dad says he is content, easy for me (daughter to visit)

My wife and I really can't thank the management and staff at Bay Tree Court, in Cheltenham, enough for the care that they provided to our father in the last four months of his life. It's very clear from the way in which they interact with both the residents and their relatives that for the staff at
Bay Tree Court, working there is much more than an ordinary job.Their deeply caring attitude is not only shown by the management and the main carers - it also extends to everyone there, such as the kitchen, maintenance and the cleaning staff. We commend their dedication and kindness in a career that many people would find very difficult indeed. The atmosphere at Bay Tree is one of warmth and peace, and the people there take a lot of trouble to look after residents' relatives too, in what is often a very difficult time for everyone in the family. When we visited Bay Tree, we really felt that we were visiting friends.

From our first meeting with the staff, through to Dad's arrival, when a member of staff stayed extra late to ensure he could be admitted on discharge from hospital, everyone at Bay Tree has been so kind and supportive.
There is a lovely caring atmosphere, which extends to taking care of the
family too. Nothing has been too much trouble and everyone from the cleaning team to the carers and nursing staff to the management, have been welcoming and helpful. The catering staff went the extra mile to make food to tempt Dad, since he didn't really have an appetite, and staff took the trouble to find out about him and his interests and to try and draw him out when he was experiencing deep grief and shock after the death of our mother. The fact that Bay Tree is run by a charity, not a business, really seems to flow into all aspects of their approach. They have felt like a family, and now that Dad has sadly passed away, we will miss them!

Earlier this year, it became evident that mum didn't feel confident living alone anymore (at 94) and, as she lived a couple of hours away, we all agreed that we would have to try and find somewhere local where mum could be safe and well cared for.
Mum came to live in Bay Tree Court Residential Care
Home at the end of June, in a lovely room where she was able to bring her own things, and make it cosy. Mum was always commenting on the attention given to cleaning and washing, and was most impressed by having fresh towels every day, as well as the superb standard and variety of the home cooked meals.
Sadly, mum passed away at the end of October.
We would like to thank every single person for the compassion and love they showed Mum. The genuine sympathy we, as a family, have been shown, has been amazing, and has certainly helped us through this process, and reaffirmed to us that Bay Tree Court was the perfect place for mum to spend her final months.
Thank you everyone - you are all wonderful.

The thought of my mum going into a care home was tearing me apart. Bay Tree Court Residential Care Home has totally blown me away, from the start the management were so helpful, educational and totally engaged. Nothing was going to be a problem, any questions we had were answered. As for the staff,
I genuinely believe these people have hidden wings. We could not be more impressed. Anything we need is dealt with, the food looks delicious and the entertainment is superb. I thank these people from the bottom of my heart. Mum could not be in a better place, she is so so happy despite Alzheimer's trying to stop her. Many thanks to all.

I don’t get to visit all that often, but I was so pleased to see the care and gentle support given by the staff during the visit. They got down to my relative's level, spoke gently and clearly, were encouraging and supportive, and showed such care and attention; it was wonderfully reassuring to see
such personal care.

Mum spent her final six months of life at Bay Tree Court Residential Care Home. They were months filled with laughter and care. The care staff, cleaning staff and management all made this a good time for her and for me. Mum was made welcome right from the start, making the settling-in process an
easy one. Mum's room was always clean and neat and the maintenance staff put up hooks for pictures etc. to make it just right for her arrival.
When Mum was in her final days of life, the home could not have been more caring. They also looked after me as much as Mum while I spent that time by her bedside.
17 July 2023
We were concerned as circumstances dictated that a respite stay was required for Mum. As she is 95, very frail and needs constant help, support and direction after a stroke, it was a difficult decision to delegate care especially as she lives with us. On our initial visit to Bay Tree Court we were
met in an enthusiastic, informative and professional manner the home visit to meet Mum was equally accomplished with empathy, kindness and care.
On admittance, Mum was welcomed and a great effort was made to settle her in. The staff were kind and reassuring. The room was well-presented and clean. Good care was apparent at any time of the day, headed by competent senior staff. We were so grateful. On return home, Mum appeared rested and has been doing well. I would not hesitate to book Mum into Bay Tree Court again.

My dad has been a resident here since May 2022. Whilst there were teething difficulties settling him in due to his worsening dementia, the staff at the time and ever since have been absolutely excellent.
They are caring and considerate and work very hard!
The liaison between us and the senior
nursing staff has been very good, as is their care for Dad.
Dad took kindly to a couple of staff members in particular who were absolutely great with him, so that has really helped him settle.
The facilities and food are great, it is after all a purpose built facility so it is very fit for purpose.
The office, manager and reception are accessible, helpful and friendly and always prompt in replying to correspondence, etc.
You can visit anytime you like and we pop in every few days.
Overall, it has taken a huge weight off our minds to know that Dad is safe and well cared for, so thank you everyone!

The care my aunt has received since she was admitted to Baytree Court Care Centre in December 2022 is excellent. In the beginning we were naturally concerned about her welfare and the way she would adapt to her new environment but the staff have been empathetic to her personal needs and we could not
have been more pleased.
