My mother was in Grevill House for 9 months, during which time her health deteriorated and she passed away. All the staff went above and beyond with her care. They were particularly helpful with my father who found the situtation very difficult and supported him. Thank you for everything. Gwyn Southgate

Grevill House is a lovely care home always a delight to visit, your greeted with a lovely smile from the staff and they are always helpful.

There is a shortage of care staff at times which leads to frustration for the residents & also the visitors. But the carers and nurses working at Grevill are excellent and genuinely care for the resident.

Mum was supposed to stay in Grevill House six days respite, for a much needed break for my dad, but we had to take her out after 4 due her basic care needs not being met. Mum was only dressed one day and was left in bed all the time she was there other than when my sister and my self took her out, teeth were not cleaned breakfast tray in her room at three in the afternoon. mum was only dressed once staff did not promote mums independence and even though she was only there for four days she came out worse than she went in making things even more difficult for my dad and the family. to look at this place is nice but that is all. This is a honest review of Grevill House.

My mother has just spent the last six weeks in Ashley Intermediate Care Centre. The care by all the wonderful staff was excellent in every way. They treated my mother who has dementia with so much kindness and professionalism giving her time and patience even when she became agitated and anxious. They always had a smile and took time to reassure & keep us the family involved and informed in what was a very stressful time. I could not fault Ashley Care Centre and am very grateful for their time & care. We wish all the carers the very best. Thank you!!

My Dad was moved to Ashley House on Christmas Eve 2024 from Gloucester Royal Hospital, from the moment I made contact with the staff at Ashley House, I knew that my Dad was in safe hands. I was always kept up to date with his condition and the medication he was taking. Hospital transport was organised for his many visits to hospital, being treated with compassion and dignity. As a family we were always made to feel very welcome. I can't thank the staff of Ashley Intermediate Care Centre enough for the care they gave my Dad, from the managers, nurses, carers, housekeepers and tea makers! Thank you so much for all your kindness and hard work.

I have written several times before about Grevill House where my twin brother is a long term resident, due to his complex health conditions. I popped into see him this morning and it struck me that Grevill House stands out for one major reason; the outstanding quality of the staff. Whenever I go into the home it feels like I am visiting a much loved large family. I talk to everyone and am given such a warm welcome by all the staff including the carers, housekeepers, nurses, cooks, the manager and the handyman. It means so much to me and the family that he is looked after by such lovely people.

After suffering a stroke, my husband came to Grevill House totally dependent on others for every aspect of his life. He could do nothing for himself. The care provided by the nursing staff and care assistants was exceptional. They were always cheerful and tried to engage with him in any way possible. He was extremely well looked after and treated kindly and with compassion by all. I was always made to feel welcome and any request was acted upon immediately. I cannot speak highly enough of the care provided by Grevill House.

Mum was treated with dignity, respect and good humour. Staff were cheerful, caring and showed genuine interest in my mother, reassuring us that she was being taken care of and engaged with sensitivity as an individual person, not just a resident or patient.

The staff at Grevill House and Ashley Intermediate Care Centre are really supportive of both my mother and my family. My mum can be and has challenging care needs but I found the team so patient despite difficulties with mum without complaining or becoming annoyed.

Can't thank Ashley House enough, the staff are amazing and great support from the manager and another lady. Nothing was a trouble and I am a very protective daughter, a great place with great people.

The staff were so kind to my mum who had dementia. They made sure she had her powder and lipstick on every day. They were also very supportive at Mum's end of life, laying her to rest with a posy of flowers. Thank you for everything.

My husband has been a resident at this home for 2 years. The care he has had has been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here. I have been with my husband for 44 years but have been married for 2 years. We got married in the home. The staff made it a wonderful day for us. A day I will never forget. Thank you to the staff at Grevill House.

All staff were extremely helpful. When asked for help and assistance, it was no trouble. My family cannot praise all staff enough for looking after my wife.

All the caring staff are wonderful. They made time to talk with me when I had questions. The admin, cleaning and nurses always managed to chat with me when I had concerns. My husband was always clean and comfy. He ate everything given to him. The area was always clean and tidy on the grounds lovely. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ashley Intermediate Care Centre to anyone who asks. Thank you.

Ashley Intermediate carers were so lovely to my late husband, nothing was too much trouble. They treated him with so much dignity as he suffered so much with vascular dementia and I wish there were more places like this.
