View Full Details of Hill Ash HouseI visited an old friend of mine, currently a resident at Hill Ash House. I was very impressed with the Home ,the Gardens and setting, with its lovely country views. The Staff were very welcoming and offered refreshments. We sat in the Pavilion which was mainly glass and had beautiful views onto a lake and across fields and we had tea and home made cake. I was also told about upcoming events being held and invited to come along. There is a Coffee Shop where Afternoon Tea is served on certain days and other outside sitting areas to enjoy different views. My friend told me about the various activities she joins in with, such as Gardening Club, Book Club, Baking and Keep Fit. They also have a variety of visiting entertainment that she can choose to join in with if she wishes. I felt the Home had a friendly atmosphere and her room and the Communal Areas were beautiful kept and very fresh and clean. She is extremely happy there and feels at home.
Hill Ash has been a wonderful discovery, from the moment my aunt arrived the entire experience has extraordinary , the care staff are outstanding , my aunts room is absolutely beautiful overlooking the lake and into the countryside beyond, she loves a walk in their stunning gardens and always seems to have a full day of interesting activities going on, whenever I join her for lunch in the dining room ( where you have a choice of either eating inside or on the panoramic wind proof terrace !) it is always appealing to her wavering appetite and utterly delicious. I cannot recommend the manager and her team highly enough, thank you to everyone at Hill Ash for the outstanding care you are giving and for making my aunt so happy in her new home.
My auntie came here for a while as we were away. Totally amazed by the support, standard of meals and also entertainment. Said it was like going on her own holiday. Would definitely stay again and if she ever requires long term care we wouldn't hesitate to contact them.
