View Full Details of Northleach Court Care HomeMum had signs of dementia and the strain of looking after her in my home was making me ill. Northleach Court employs its own staff (mum hates change), offered everything we needed and, to be blunt, was affordable. The big refurbishment was initially a concern, but it will be lovely when it's completed later this year, and the workmen take great care not to disturb the residents. Some areas are finished, and the residents love their new lounge/café. Mum immediately took to the manager when she visited for the assessment, which is very unusual, and after a bit more thought we arranged for her to move in on 7th January 2025. The staff are lovely: unfailingly friendly, cheerful, helpful and so patient with all the residents, many of whom have dementia. Mum is not a "joiner", but there are lots of activities if she wants to join in. She loves the food, the two resident PAT kittens and the peace and quiet of the location, and she has company when she wants it. I couldn't have chosen better.
When my Aunt first came to Northleach Court, the building was in the midst of a massive refurbishment, which was a little disconcerting. But the atmosphere in the home was, and continues to be, amazing. The staff exude warmth and friendliness, and everyone, without exception, has a smile on their face. Activities in the home are constant, varied and adapted to each residents needs. Everyday, residents are shown food options and able to choose their menu (and the food looks fantastic); when my Aunt had a birthday, the chef cooked her a fabulous cake as part of her birthday tea party celebrations, arranged by the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and my Aunt has flourished since moving in. A massive, heartfelt thank you to the management team and all the staff for their support and kindness. Now that refurbishments are coming to end, this 5* star care home will look as outstanding as the care provided within.
Honestly what can I say.... Northleach Court have been amazing to my wonderful Dad who has sadly now passed away, but the kindness, professionalism and more importantly the warmth the staff have shown to us as a family has been amazing.... I can say that Dad had the best time and was looked after so well with a lovely room and the staff, food, communication and everything else in between has made things so much easier for us as a family. The entertainments were fantastic and Dad so enjoyed the music :-) He had the best time .... I can recommend this care facility 100% Happy Staff and Happy Residents and always made feel welcome on visits !!!
My mother entered Northleach Court in July 2024 under Palliative Care until she passed away in May 2025. During her stay she received first class care from all members of staff who work under difficult circumstances due to a large number of residents suffering from dementia. The building has been under renovation for the entire period and is now beginning to look much improved from the tired property of 2024. The nursing staff have kept me abreast of mum's ongoing condition on a regular basis and mum was very comfortable during her 10 month stay. Once again, congratulations and thanks to the manager and her dedicated team for providing a high level of compassionate care.
Mum has been In residence at North Leach Court since 03/24 after a fraught 24 months. With me attempting to repay the care Mum had provided to me throughout my life, Our relationship was sadly in decline. Dropping Mum off for me was devastating it showed in a way I had failed. The team leaves no stone unturned and finds so many things to celebrate Mum loves it. Donkeys, singing, birds of prey, tea tasting Gardening, Chinese New Year the big festivities Xmas, Easter, New Year, Valentine's and Birthdays. So much goes on and is a real credit to the home. The whole staff team get involved. The management, Admin Carers, Nursing, Chef, and Maintenance staff, have their own roles but always spend time engaging with the families and Service users. Back to Mum I look forward to my visits, yes dementia will take more of a toll, however our relationship although different to a Mum and Son is one, I have come to enjoy. Seeing my Mum engaged, and with that smile is a pleasure to see
I have been visiting the facilities of Northleach Court Care home for around 8 months to ensure all residents are looked after in regard to their Foot Care Needs. I can safely say that all residents there are looked after to a high standard. Everyone is patient with residents and always kind/Friendly. Northleach Court in my opinion couldn't do more to ensure all standards are abided too. Some of the staff members are exceptional at multitasking various different aspects whilst under a lot of the day to day stresses.
My mother was a resident at Northleach Court from April 2024 until November 2024. During her stay, you couldn't fault the care and attention she received from all the members of staff, especially as my mother suffered from extremely poor sight and hearing which must have been a challenge to all the staff. On visiting my mother, we were always warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. We were kept up to date with her wellbeing via an internet link which was great. Overall we were impressed with Northleach Court and would definitely recommend the Home.
My (step) grandmother spent the last 4.5 years of her life at Northleach Court after decades of living independently. Due to firstly Covid and secondly my living abroad, I never got to see that much of the care home so I can't comment too much on food/facilities etc. I found the staff always helpful and friendly and for me, that was a big plus. My grandmother always seemed happy and enjoyed her time there as best she could with her advanced age. Once dementia set in for her, I received regular phone calls and updates from staff on her health, which I was grateful for. Overall would recommend.
Good care for Mum from staff who are committed to caring. Cheerful and approachable staff. Impressively varied activities programme. Waiting to gain entry to the care home often took longer than expected. Sufficient car parking but sometimes rather a squeeze to manoeuvre into the spaces.
My mother was admitted to Northleach Court Care Home 17 months ago, we were able to choose her room and were able to decorate it appropriately for my mother. Staff were welcoming and thorough in their assessment of my mother's needs. Staff are experienced in the care of those with dementia here, and we felt confident in putting my mother in the care of this home. The staff quickly became her new family, and spoke of her with respectful affection. The staff treated my Mother with dignity, and gave her choices that she was able to make, this may have been choice of clothes to wear each day, and meal choices. The staff team, were always willing to listen to, and act upon any concern or suggestion we might have had for my mother's care and comfort, I always felt that you could have a reasonable discussion with them about anything and be confident that if needed they would make changes.
My mother was a resident at NLC for 2 years until her death in April. As a family, we have nothing but praise for the care staff, they are amazing. They work so hard to ensure that residents are given the best possible care and entertainment. Mum’s wish was to die at Northleach because she would be looked after by people who cared about her and were kind to her and where she felt safe - her words. Mum’s death was dealt with in such a kind and sensitive way, with both Mum and us, her family, feeling very supported. We were also very touched that the care staff were represented at her funeral, that meant so much to us. The staff all deserve our heartfelt thanks. Every one of them plays their part in making Northleach Court special.
My wife has been resident for over 2 years. She has been very well cared for with all staff and management adapting to her changing care needs. With happy smiling staff, it is always a pleasure to visit Northleach Court.
In the short time that my father was a resident at Northleach Court, the care from every member of the team was outstanding. In the last few days of his life, they went above and beyond for both my father and me. I can't thank you enough.
My father was in Northleach Court Care Home, from April 2023 to January 2024. I found all the staff to be kind and very caring, everything that could be done was done. Also, there was much kindness shown to me on my visits to the care home. I always felt the staff, went out of their way to be helpful to Dad and me.
We had to find respite care for my dad at very short notice and were fortunate that Northleach Court had a room. From the first meeting with the team to his moving in took 3 days which is very impressive. Whilst he was in the care home for just over 4 weeks the level of care he received was outstanding. He was made to feel welcome and looked after. He enjoyed the food, especially the 'hot lunch'. His medical needs were taken care of. From when he went into to when he came out, was night and day, he had regained weight and confidence. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help him. The only slight issue is that the home is currently undergoing renovation - this wasn't a problem when he was there however when completed it should result in the look and finish of the building being equal to the quality of care provided. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to others.
My husband was in Northleach Court Care Centre for the period of April 2023 to December 2023. I felt he was respected and was given the chance to carry on everyday life as far as he could. His clothing was always clean and he looked as smart as he was used to. When he was ill I was advised of any problems and was consulted about his ongoing care. His change in awareness was dealt with on a regular basis and any challenging moments were dealt with in a gentle fashion. I was able to visit on a regular basis and never felt in the way or not wanted. Given that I had wished to care for my husband myself I feel that Northleach Court looked after his complex needs as well as anyone could.
I wish to express my family's profound gratitude to all staff at Northleach Court Care Centre for the highly professional and attentive care provided to my mother during the last weeks of her life. It was clear, from our first visit, that all those who worked in the home shared the same ethos, which was manifested by the staff's dedication to doing everything possible to keep the residents safe, as comfortable as possible and valued as individuals. Our interaction with all staff involved in my mother's care was highly commendable. Our views were routinely sought on how her needs could best be met, and we were confident that no effort would be spared to bring solace to her, during her final days with us. The ministration of gentleness and kindness, which was always conspicuous, was also extended to us, her family, whenever we came to spend time with her. Northleach Court Care Centre is a special place. The staff are inspirational in their commitment to others, and we regard ourselves as being very fortunate to have had their greatly appreciated support during a very difficult and painful period.
We really appreciated the kindness and professionalism of all the staff at Northleach Court Care Centre who cared for our mother over the last few months. In particular, we would like to thank the team for making Mum comfortable and providing such excellent end-of-life care for both Mum and us as a family. This made her last few days into a positive experience. We agonised about sending Mum to a nursing home, but we were so glad that she came to you. You deserve your recent 'good' Care Quality Commission judgement; we would have given you the highest accolade. You give loving, sensitive care, trying your best to ensure even the most reluctant resident finds ‘joy’ in most days.
My father stayed at Northleach Court for a week's respite, until care at home was put in place as he’s not quite ready to move in as a permanent resident. I was very impressed with all we met while he was there. The office staff were great, very happy, knowledgable and friendly. Dad’s room was clean and tidy with nice furniture that looked new. Dad was settled in quickly as the nursing staff were so lovely, kind, and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dad self-administers his insulin under the supervision of the nurses, if they had any concerns, I would get a call and we would discuss them. I was allowed to visit at any time, which helped on the days I work. Dad could have his meals downstairs or in his room. The food looked good and Dad said it was great. They are having lots done to it, so it’s a bit messy where the builders are working, that shouldn’t put anyone off, as the care by far compensates, all the staff are so kind, caring and happy.
Mum passed away in December. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with mum's care, 110% in the last eighteen months, mum was always clean and tidy, her room was so very clean whenever we visited and the staff, well they went above and beyond, used to have to do a two-hour drive to visit mum, tea and biscuits were always offered on arrival. When she passed, we could not have been more comforted. Thank you to all who were on duty and had cared for mum whilst she was at Northleach Court Care Centre.
