Pondsmead has been a a lifesaver for mum and a great relief for me.. The place is always tidy, clean and relaxed.
Every member of staff I've come into contact with has been genuinely caring, friendly and professional, the staff are a major asset at pondsmead.
Mum is happy, settled in remarkably and
has been made to feel at home and comfortable.
Lovely building and grounds.
I will say the exterior of the building could do with a little maintenance.

I have found this care home to be very high standard in many ways. My friend after the initial natural resistance has settled there wonderfully. All the staff like her and talk to her and she has become on a really warm level with them. The staff are brilliant and genuinely caring. Brittney and Amy
who run it are very helpful, knowledgeable and approachable with any queries I've had. I feel very reassured my friend is looked after well. That has been proven as after being at Pondsmead my friend is in much better mental and physical health than she's been for well over a year now.

My aunt has been a resident at Pondsmead for two years. She is very happy and settled at Pondsmead - she often tells me how much she likes living there, how friendly and helpful the staff are, and how much she likes her room. Whenever we visit, we've always been made very welcome. Pondsmead has been

Warm and welcoming, made to feel comfortable immediately in my room. Staff are all, without exception, helpful and always go out of their way to help you. I'm very happy and comfortable there.

I enjoy living here, my room is how I like it, and I have a lovely, newly done bathroom. I enjoy the activities, particularly singers, outings and hymns and prayers. The food is excellent.

I am very pleased with the way you look after my dad. Also thank you for looking after my mum on her last days before she passed away in May. The staff are very helpful, you only have to ask and they will try to help.

My dad was a resident in the woodlands level, he had Alzheimer's disease. He went there after being discharged from hospital after many falls. As a family this was a very distressing time for us, thankfully we formed good relationships with staff which eased the transition.
Dad formed good
relationships with most of the staff which as a family was invaluable.
Sadly dad passed away in September but I've been told that his immediate carers still miss him, which shows the compassion and care they gave him.

The staff are all kind, understanding and helpful. Great access to medical care. Beautiful setting. Facilities are good. Flexibility with visiting and managed various complications discreetly and professionally.

I couldn't ask for nicer staff to look after my mother in her final months. She came in as a respite patient and never left. She is now in her final days and the care that the staff have taken of her could not have been better. She smiles when they walk into the room and she is very compliant with
them. They treat her with dignity and respect acquiescing to any of my requests. Beautiful people.
The facilities and the rooms are clean, well maintained and the cleaning staff work very hard to keep it that way.
The management have been readily available and extremely professional, especially when dealing with our particular family issues.

I have now been at Pondsmead for 18 months and I am very happy to call it my home. My delightful room is comfortable and cosy and overlooks part of the garden where, at my request, some new plants have recently been added. All the staff work hard and must get very tired but they are always cheerful
and friendly, and show great patience towards the more challenging residents. I have always received respect and kindness and I endeavor to treat them in the same way. Being in my 80s I have a number of older friends, and I have recommended Pondsmead to them all!

Friendly, compassionate, professional staff who treated us all with respect as individuals and as a family. They accommodated Dad's needs and he has settled extremely quickly in a safe, enjoyable environment. Would highly recommend.

Mum has been in Pondsmead since 2021 and has been very happy. She has been very happy the whole time. The staff are great, so helpful and kind and they make Mum's stay really comfortable. It is such a relief to know she is in safe hands.

My husband has been a resident at Pondsmead for nearly a year now. It took a while for him to settle but now seems very content. The room he has is very nice and comfy and kept clean.
The staff that take care of him, are kind and treat him with respect, they always have a smile on their face and
spend time with the residents.
My husband enjoys walking outside in the gardens.

Mum tells me she loves it there. The staff are friendly, the food is nice and she is enjoying the activities. She seems to have settled in better than we expected and is happy to take part in the activities on offer.

Cannot fault the care my mother-in-law is receiving.
She seems a lot happier in herself since being at the home and is also a lot more active. The staff are always friendly and are keen to greet and update us.

Our Auntie moved into Pondsmead care home after spending a month in hospital where the care was not up to her complex needs, she has been there almost a month. At one stage we actually thought we would lose her but since arriving here she has completely changed as her needs are being met, we hope
she will be able to stay as seems settled. The care staff have been helpful and understanding as are we as they are doing a very difficult job with her complex needs.
The home is always welcoming as are the staff when we visit, and her room clean light and cheerful.

Friendly and caring staff. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The home is situated in pleasant surroundings. My mother was reluctant to go into care, but now seems to be content and settled at Pondsmead.

My 95-year-old mother-in-law entered Pondsmead in early April. The management team and her carers have done everything possible to implement any requirements we have asked to make her new home as comfortable as possible.
Her room is comfortable and homely and she now looks forward to lunch in the
dining room and afternoon activities which she enjoys. She is booked in for an afternoon trip to Wells to the market and coffee etc in May and today has gone in an ambulance arranged by the home to audiologists so she is being well looked after in all aspects.
Importantly the carers are performing regular exercises as directed by the physio so she may be able to walk again. This is as important for her psychologically as well as physically.
The transition from life with her family is not easy but Pondsmead is trying their best and dealing well with her frustrations.
Overall a big thank you to all of you for your long hours, hard work and care.

After viewing several nursing homes around the area, Pondsmead was our first choice. My mum-in-law moved in in August, her care has been outstanding, they have made her feel comfortable and involved, so far we are a very happy family. Thank you to all staff involved.
