In previous years I had been more than happy with the care that my father received. When my elderly mother became more acutely disabled I was very grateful at the speed & flexibility that the team displayed in receiving us in a moment of need. I have always found the various team to be kind &
compassionate. I consider Milford House to be an excellent care home.

Staff from top down cheerful and friendly, food was plentiful and of a good standard. As a visitor having to travel for 1.5 hours and staying for the day the staff were very happy and encouraged me to food for breakfast and lunch.
Only negative thoughts were hoovering during lunch time and
sometimes time taken to respond to call alarm.

My 91 year old mother was shaken and nervous leaving hospital after a bad fall and broken leg before Christmas. I visited every residential home in the Salisbury area to find one that I hoped would suit her for further recuperation.. From the initial assessment through moving in to her delightful
room the staff have been outstanding, professional, supportive and friendly to my brother and I as well as mum. After 2 months she is walking, eating well and looking brighter and healthier than she has done for many years looking after herself at home. Apart from the gardens you can walk and sit in, we enjoy the lounges and barista style cafe as well as weekend lunch with mum in the dining room overlooking the garden. It feels like a real home with friendly faces that come by regularly for a chat and to see how you are. It's the staff and open friendly attitudes to any feedback that make Milford House exceptional from carers, nurses, catering and cleaning and office staff and management.

Milford House is a delightful care home in which my wife has spent 6 weeks in 3 different visits, following a total knee replacement on both knees and recuperating from a broken femur. She was made most welcome and looked after extremely well, helping her recover from the surgery.
The staff were
anxious to please, helpful and friendly. The food was first class and varied. Milford House is a first class care home, and I would thoroughly recommend it for recuperation and respite care.

Very Happy with Milford House, Dad went in for respite care and has decided to stay on. Every member of staff with out exception gives a smile and a hello. From the nursing, care, admin, activities, catering, housekeeping all is first class. It is great to know Dad is happy and well looked after

Our family has been involved at Milford for over 5 years - my mother for 4 years and now my father for the last year. The nursing staff and carers are great and the reception team are always welcoming and friendly.

A lovely party thrown for my Mum's 80th . The room was decorated beautifully ready for the guests to arrive and a delicious cake . Thank you for your care and for helping to make it a successful celebration

All the staff here help to make my mum's life more colourful, always friendly and chatty and willing to have a laugh and a joke.
Staff of note are Kelly (in the office), Val on reception, Wendy, Gale and Jane.
Everyone is helpful in a very busy home.

I find the Care home staff very welcoming, warm and caring, both towards my dad and us as a family.
We recognise what a challenging job the staff do, and they carry this out professionally and generously.
The staff were amazing when we were trying to ensure dad could make it to my sisters wedding
this October. Dad had been very poorly and they shared our determination to do all we could to follow his wishes to be present at the church. It would not have happened without their determination and going the extra mile in the weeks leading up to the big day. We will be forever grateful to them for this.

I can't say enough good things.
I never wanted to see my grandmother unable to stay in her own home, but here I know she is not just safe and cared for, but is more happy, healthy and active than she has been for a long time.
The staff are fantastic, and genuinely care about the residents and
creating a warm, homely atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.
Each week there are a range of activities (from weaving, yoga, trips out, talks, music to much more) and suggestions are also considered.
The medical side of things is well handled and responsive.
The food is exceptional, with a varied menu and the chef has happily accommodated needs and requests.
And the garden! My grandmother loves gardening, and having such a lovely garden is really wonderful for her. Even moreso after the works that have just been carried out to make it even more easily accessible.
It's hard to praise it highly enough - it's been fantastic as a new home my grandmother and a pleasure to visit each day.

I was apprehensive putting my mum in a care home.
Well i am so suprised what a fantastic home this is.
Beautifully done out lovely rooms but most of all the staff are amazing. The manager, the nurses and the carers are empathetic caring and wonderful.
Last week me and my sister thought we were
losing out Mother.
The Milford care home gave us a room each and all meals. How wonderful of them.
The food was lovely and each and everyone of the staff was empathetic and caring.
Amazing home I'm so happy my mum is in here.
10/10 to all the staff!

The Family of and myself can't thank the general manager and her staff at Milford House Care Home, Salisbury for their truly professional care of our mother. Nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail and empathy is second to none.
Chef ensured she had the food she liked which was
very important as we all thought she was passing away the weekend of the 6th March. She was very, very ill and I came over from Spain to be with her, my sister and I were made very welcome and were looked after as if we were in a 5* Hotel.
We were all prepared for the worst and then by a miracle she pulled through due to the excellent care of the nursing staff and carers, who guided her through the bad times and of course her loving family.
Mum is happy in her lovely room with TV, hairdresser saloon, spa and beautiful gardens.
We would highly recommend Milford House for its wide range of facilities and loving care and the experienced management team.

My mother moved in following a fall. The care was excellent, the staff went to great lengths to encourage her to eat and drink. She attended several activities and particularly enjoyed the music sessions and the creative arts. We also appreciated the care and support given to us by the staff
following her passing on Christmas Eve.

I joined Barchester Milford House Care Home at very short notice to convalesce following surgery. All the staff are both pleasant and professional. Both nursing and care staff always went the extra mile to provide for my needs. Dining was a pleasure - lovely food (and snacks). I hope that if I ever
need such support in later life, I will find somewhere as homely and helpful as Milford House.

What can I say other than my 97-year-old mum received the best care we could possibly have wished for during her final two weeks of life. Treated with dignity and excellent care from all the staff.

I am a regular visitor, I have eaten there and participated in some of the many activities. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive and there is a real feeling that it is a home rather than an institution. Those living there always seem happy and well cared for.
