View Full Details of Blenheim House Care HomeAs part of our journey to deciding when to move into a care home my wife and I jointly experienced a period of respite care in Blenheim House. We thought the overall experience was excellent. The community atmosphere and family environment were immediately apparent as though transferred by osmosis from all the house walls. With residential status we were free to experience the full range of facilities and join in the varied and numerous daily wellbeing activities. All the staff members were caring, flexible and professional in whatever circumstances they were asked to help or become involve
I have been a resident at Blenheim House for a while now, however after a recent short stay in hospital I want to make the following statement. I was really welcomed 'home' and feel that my care has been good. I am supported to be as independent as I can and have made lots of new friends. A very varied programme of activities is offered to suit people. I have a ground floor room with a patio and spend time outside in the beautiful garden.
I am delighted with the care and attention given to my father. He is listened to and his preferences are accommodated. He is treated with respect and sincere kindness. He is eating very well and enjoying his glass of wine at lunchtime! He is often found in the beautiful garden reading his newspaper or snoozing. Most of all Blenheim House has allowed me to be a daughter again and not a carer and that is priceless.
I am really happy here with a beautiful room. The staff are so good and kind. The food is excellent with varied menus. I would recommend it to anybody.
I find that Blenheim House fully cares for my mother in a good, kind, respectful way and keeps her occupied and well cared for. The building and surroundings are very good and well-maintained. The staff are some of the best and well well-mannered and kind. Any problems are dealt with quickly and resolved. Blenheim House is a top-rated care home.
We made the right choice! Continuing high quality of care, support and compassion in pleasant surroundings, excellent food. The family feel very positive about the high standards being maintained by superior nursing care and administrative staff. All members of staff are welcoming and caring 24/7. Knowing our loved one is being so well looked after provides peace of mind for all the family. Thank you to the whole team including the enthusiastic entertainment team.
Both my husband and I are delighted and most grateful for the happy, caring and safe environment provided at Blenheim. The staff - every single one of them - are exceptional - always a smile, nothing is too much trouble and their patience is unending. We are lucky to be part of the Blenheim family.
Since I became a resident at Blenheim House last November I have been very happy with the service I receive. The staff are helpful, efficient & cheerful and there is an interesting programme of activities. My husband was here for a year before he died and as I said at his funeral, we were both very grateful for the love & care we received then.
Flawless and exceeding my expectations. From my first contact with the CRM to discuss the possibility of mum moving here - she immediately put my mind at ease with her professional and kind manner. The carer team are just wonderful - each and everyone of them is so kind, caring, patient and it is very clear they love their job, the residents and their colleagues. This culture appears very strong and seems to be a results of the team spirit and team leadership. Also huge praise to the head chef.
As a family, we feel peace of mind that our dear mother is being cared for night and day with upmost care and dignity, with her needs catered for continuously. The team of carers and entertainment, hairdresser are so friendly and welcoming.
A kindly gentle atmosphere for most of the time. I am made to feel special - cared for. All the carers are kind and gentle - there are several outstanding ones whom I will be sad to say goodbye to when the time comes. I think one member of staff, in particular, looks very tired at times - so we must care for him while we can. The brilliant leader in every way - kind, considerate, gentle; we are so fortunate to have his wisdom with us nearly everyday. He is so wise - so caring - so strong; I have learned many things from him - all helpful and full of warmth. It has been a privilege to know so many special people - including the kind lady who taught us all we know.
My Mother was looked after at Blenheim house following Chemotherapy and a fall. The care she received was exemplary, not only was her medical needs taken care of but the team at Blenheim went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. They welcomed family and friends when visiting with open arms and warm hospitality. My Mother has since returned to her home to live independently, without the care from the Blenheim House for three months, this would have been unthinkable. So thank you for all your kindness, support and efforts you give each of the residents in your care and for making the transition from hospital to care home so easy, especially when so many family members are in a state of distress at a difficult time.
I was looked after well while I recovered from my knee replacement operation. The staff were available to help when I needed them. The food was marvelous. For me, the place was overly warm but I anticipated that by taking summer clothing with me!
My mother and father arrived at Blenheim House Care Home during November last year and were immediately made to feel welcome and part of the family. My dad died soon afterwards and the staff couldn't have been more professional and caring. The staff seem, universally, to be enthusiastic and genuine in what they do and I know my mum is happy with all aspects of her residency, especially the food. As family visitors, we too are always made to feel welcome.
Please do not be taken in by the free coffee, cakes, nice garden and the facilities on offer at this care home. The thing that was totally lacking during my wife's respite care was high quality care. My wife previously had stayed in two care homes which charged a lot less than Blenheim and the quality of care was very high, be careful and do loads of research.
Good following new hip 6th November 2024. Safe, comfortable, very good care and services. Would return if and when required.
My husband had excellent care throughout his time at Blenheim House Care Home. All staff, whatever their role, were kind, caring and respectful both to him and the family. Staff were always available to help in any way and we (family) were kept fully informed about everything. The home has a welcoming, friendly feel, we could visit at any time, lovely decor and gardens and good range of activities. Good example for all other homes.
My mum stayed at Blenheim House for two weeks respite to enable us to go on holiday. Right from the first encounter with the customer relations manager, he was friendly, reassuring and accommodating. All the staff were a credit to the care home and couldn't have been more friendly, caring and helpful. My mum was very content during her stay and thoroughly enjoyed the numerous activities, especially the singing. We will definitely approach Blenheim House when my mum needs future care. Many thanks to everyone working there.
Well, where do I start? After viewing care homes in the local area, we came across Blenheim House Care Home and what a lucky find. My mother has Alzheimer's and safety and mental stimulation on a daily basis were a priority. We opted for two weeks of respite and Mum settled immediately. The staff are friendly, happy and exceed expectations, so we decided for her to stay permanently. We have a lovely welcome whenever we visit and our dog loves it too. Thank you, Blenheim!
I can't speak highly enough of Blenheim House Care Home. From the admittance, Mum settled down straight away after 10 minutes of arriving, she was singing and dancing to the entertainment. It's honestly like a five-star hotel. Administration staff, food, activities and rooms are fantastic, there is always somebody on hand to assist Mum. The gardens are wonderful, beautifully maintained, the standard of cleanliness is next to none. Very happy overall and so is Mum, she's safe, relaxed, stimulated and cared for extremely well.
