The team at Sutton Veny House have been consistently kind, attentive, and professional throughout my mother's stay. From the carers to the manager, their approach is warm and genuinely human. The tone of calm, responsive leadership that shapes the culture of care throughout the home is clear to see. In what is a difficult and often undervalued job, the staff bring patience, humour, and real heart. It's evident they care not just about physical wellbeing, but emotional comfort too. My mother was treated with respect and gentleness, and I always felt she was in safe hands. I'm grateful for the spirit and integrity with which they carry out their work.

My mother went into Sutton Veny Nursing Home for two weeks respite after being in hospital for six weeks and was too weak and frail to go back to her own home. My mum was very apprehensive as she had never been in a care home before but the experience could not have been better for her. The staff were amazing, so kind and caring and they made her feel at home the moment she arrived. The room was delightful, large and sunny with tasteful furnishings and a large well equipped bathroom. My mum is a vegetarian and they cooked her whatever she fancied each day, nothing was too much trouble. She joined some of the other residents for lunch in the dining room and took part in some activities in the afternoons. I cannot recommend Sutton Veny Nursing Home enough and if my mum needs care again in the future she will be retuning there.

My Mum moved to Sutton Veny care home in September 2022. Immediately Mum said she was staying there due to the warm welcome and kindness she was given and this continued until Mum died last week. I visited Mum regularly and was always impressed with the way Mum was cared for. Always immaculate with clothing, jewellery and hair. Simple things but it makes such a difference and makes the resident feel special. The staff without exception showed kindness and empathy to the family also with updates or concerns. I developed a close relationship with the Manager who was professional and always looked for ways to make the home and resident feel cared for. How can I thank them enough for what they have done for Mum? Words are not enough. I without hesitation would recommend this home. Thank you for caring for my beloved Mum, every single member of staff enhanced her life with the love you showed her. Mum was happy in your care.

As a close friend of a resident at Sutton Veny Nursing Home, I can genuinely say that this is a truly special place. Every time I visit, I am greeted with warmth and kindness from the wonderful staff, who go above and beyond to ensure residents feel comfortable and well cared for. The team here is not only professional but also incredibly compassionate, treating residents with the dignity and respect they deserve. It is always reassuring to see my friend so well looked after, happy, and content. I am truly grateful for the dedication and hard work of everyone at Sutton Veny Nursing Home. I have the highest regard for all the staff at Sutton Veny House and cannot thank them enough for the marvellous care they gave my Mother during her stay. They worked above and beyond to provide exceptional care, creating a very warm, happy and safe environment. Through different activities they even rekindled my Mother's love of arts and crafts which was such a joy to see. I am also grateful for the support given to myself through a difficult time. Sutton Veny House will always have a special place in my heart

I cannot thank the staff enough for their patience and care with my mother who has visited twice for a bit of respite. Thoughtful caring people make such a difference to what can be a frightening time in someone's life.

The staff are very caring and friendly. It's peaceful and a lovely energy within the homes and ground. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager or staff. It's a welcoming and spacious home with a touch of glamour and a fabulous history.

My mother is now a resident. We have had previous knowledge of Sutton Veny due to my father's six years at the same home, which is why we chose them again for my mother. I have always held Sutton Veny in the highest regard - over many visits the entire staff have been totally professional and friendly, with good humour and great care. I would certainly recommend Sutton Veny very widely.

We have been impressed with the staff from the start of our enquiries to Sutton Veny. She has been understanding and responsive throughout the process from viewing the room to settling our loved one into this beautiful place. The staff team are professional and clearly well-led. The atmosphere is positive and warm and all members of staff are cheerful, with an attitude of 'can do'.

My brother has been a resident for five years. It is a very happy place for him. He is completely bed-bound, cannot move and has complex care needs. The nurses, care staff, cleaners, housekeepers, chefs and helpers are all marvellous. The house is clean and has flowers from the garden or florist all year round, Easter bonfire night and Christmas are beautifully decorated and celebrated. The food is very good and there is always tea and cake for guests. The atmosphere is happy, the staff courteous, willing and helpful and above all cheerful kind friendly and gentle. He has been nursed back to health after a PEG fitted. He is happy, feels safe, secure and most importantly feels he is at home. He and his family are very grateful that he has such a lovely home. The manager is a force of nature- always cheerful, always supportive and runs a tight ship. An excellent place for my brother who I visit every day. Well done to the manager and her staff- heartfelt thanks from us all.

The treatment and care that the residents of this place receive are of high and very high standards. From body care, nutrition and soul care, all give this centre a leading place in recommending it to people who need impeccable services. The extremely nice staff and the management more than present in all situations made me believe that my friend is receiving the best care and that this place is what everyone deserves to have when life guides you to make the decision to let go and be cared for in a specialized center.

My mother was here a few years ago and now my cousin. The home is lovely. Very clean. Staff friendly. Good food. Management is helpful. My cousin seems happy here. I can visit all day till 8pm. The home has the feel of being well run. Good atmosphere.

The staff is compassionate, attentive, and goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being and comfort of everyone under their care. The facilities are clean, and thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming environment. I have peace of mind knowing that my friend is in good hands at Sutton Veny Nursing Home.

My mother-in-law has been at Sutton Veny for 6 years. In that time she has been well looked after. The care and kindness she is shown by all members of staff has made her time here as easy as possible for her and for us. The home is extremely well run and this is down to the dedication of the staff. We are always met with a warm welcome when we visit. At 98 my mother-in-law has a big smile for the staff when they frequently pop in her room to say hello. This is more than confirmation to us that she is happy and in good hands. The staff are always happy to update us on Mum and keep us informed of her care. She has a lovely large bright room to spend her days in. At 98 she's not that active but the staff always make the effort to include her in activities that are going on. We are extremely happy that Mum is here spending her twilight years under the care of Sutton Veny and its staff.

My Aunt has been at Sutton Veny nursing home for three months now and has settled in very well. She has a lovely spacious room with lovely views. The staff are always kind and caring and she enjoys the food.

My Dad entered the home at the end of July 2023 for respite care and unfortunately, we couldn't get a package in place for him to return home. He passed away on 27 March 2024. The manager was so helpful. Dad, ex-military, quite reserved, and liked things done 'properly' was treated with respect, kindness and dignity throughout his stay. The carers really do care and I was touched by their kind words and thoughts after he passed away. A special mention for one person, as he spent time with Dad taking communion or just talking to him on spiritual matters - I know Dad got great comfort from this. The staff are so welcoming at any time of day when you visit, everything is clean and nothing is too much trouble. I am grateful that Dad was so well looked after by kind and compassionate people. Thank you.

All at the home were outstanding with regard to the care of our mother. We cannot recommend the house enough with the caring staff. Thank you so much for all you have done. It has been hard for us to choose to send our mother away but it felt like home from home.

Sutton Veny House is outstanding. My aunt's needs are all cared for with attention to detail, understanding and humour. The manager is brilliant and I'm always informed of anything needed, anything relevant. The staff are always so friendly and the activities provided are enjoyed by my aunt. Her room is lovely, as is the rest of the house. It feels more like a home than a care home. We are lucky to have such a super place close by. Neighbours have also a relative there and have said in the past that they agree! p.s. my aunt really enjoys the food and a glass of wine.

My mother has been made so welcome by all the staff! The food is excellent, and nothing is too much trouble! My mother has only been in the home for one week, but is so happy and enjoying her new home! Thank you, everyone, at Sutton Veny Nursing Home!

My uncle has just moved into Sutton Veny House, and he has been welcomed and made at home by the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much for them; they meet all his needs, and the environment is safe and secure and nicely set in the countryside, which is what my uncle is used to. The 100+-year-old stately home is impressive, and the rooms are big with high ceilings and massive windows, not the sanitised, impersonal environment you find in other care homes. The staff are always happy, helpful and welcoming and treat my uncle with care and kindness. I can only hope that if my time comes to go into care that I end up at a caring place like this.
