View Full Details of Ladymead Care HomeMy dad was cared for by the lovely staff at Ladymead for the final 4 months of his long life (aged 97!) They were ALL really friendly, chatty ,always filling me in on how dad had been. The office had lots of extra paperwork dealing with the Council and was so patient. The entertainment staff really enthusiastic, there was always something going on. Even the cheff could often be found chatting with the residents in the lounge. The personal carers were great, they seemed to genuinly love their job and my dad! You'd walk in and find the Nurse or the Manager or the lovely maintenance guy chatting to dad about cricket which he loved. They all seemed so genuinly sorry when my dad passed, and even the enthusiastic co ordinator who was on her holiday phoned me a week later for a nice chat about dad. They are a great Team at Ladymead, with a real family feel and I am so pleased we chose for dad to stay with them.My thanks to all of you.
I have often had to contact the Manager to help organise things for Dad's recent move to Ladymead. He has been quick to respond and help with any queries and the admin staff have given prompt replies and great pro-active advice. The home has a wonderful entertainments organiser who plans many varied activities and is actively enquiring about residents' interests in order to organise events that would appeal to them. The food has been excellent, tasty and a great variety provided. Ladymead is filled with many cheerful, kind and caring staff. Thank you to all !
I highly praise Ladymead. They took great care of my mum. I trusted the staff 100%. Every member of staff I met were friendly, caring and considerate. What a wonderful team they have.
Our mom was at ladymead for 4 years before she passed. she was well looked after by very friendly, attentive and hardworking stuff who genuinely and for all of the residents. I could not ask for a nicer place for mom to spend her last years.
Exceptional, the staff always portrayed a warm and wonderful spirit. Every member went above and beyond not only to the residents but also to all the extended family. During exceptional times (covid) the staff maintained a welcoming professional environment. Cannot thank all involved at Ladymead for what they did in caring and taking care of our mother and the warmth embrace to all us family members. Thank you all!!!
I have found all staff especially weekend staff to be very helpful and kind. I have noticed they try to be accommodating as much as they are able to.
The care + support my mother has received since being at Ladymead since January 2025 is exceptional. When you visit you are always made + feel welcome. The service my mum has received is more than I could of ever imagined. Thank - you.
My Mother In Law has been resident at Ladymead for a number of years. She is comfortable, happy, feels safe and is very well looked after. She remains mobile and is encouraged to do as much as she can for herself. She enjoys her food which always looks appetising and includes the occasional snack. Her ground-floor room is cosy with a small garden outside her window where she sees various small birds on her bird feeders, squirrels and even a small deer! She is encouraged to take part in activities and enjoys a good singsong, colouring, and likes to do a little bit of knitting. I visited on Valentines day just as their valentines party was coming to an end and listened to a very good singer who she really enjoyed. The Manager and ALL his staff are very caring and it is reassuring to know that my mother in law is happy and content to be there.
Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Review meeting for residents and family's excellent - all suggestions taken into consideration and actioned if considered feasible. Plenty of activities for residents.
My dad has been in the care home just over a year now. We are very satisfied with the level of care he has received. The activities which take place are outstanding, even though my dad does not take part. This is his own choice.
My husband has been in Ladymead Care Home now for 7 months, his care and personal hygiene is very, very good. Staff are amazing, helpful, friendly and the manager is so caring and very helpful, I'm so pleased my husband is well cared for and I know he is safe. Can't fault the home at all.
My mum died in Ladymead last week after living there for 6 years. Her passing was dealt with great dignity and empathy during the time at Ladymead she was always happy and contented. No stone was left unturned with her care, she had great choices with her meals and always had activities and outings offered to her. The carers treated her like their own family, we were always informed of any changes in her and welcomed when we visited. Covid was handled very well.
My nanny was in Ladymead for six years. She was always happy and contented whenever we visited her. My young boys, her great-grandchildren, what always made at home there and they were all spoiled by the staff. She was very loved and cared for by all the staff. She had a great choice of food and gained weight while she was living in Ladymead. The current entertainment lady is brilliant and always kept my nanny busy. The manager was excellent and always available.
Our mum has been in Ladymead for 6 years in December. She has had the most amazing care we could have asked for. She was always treated with dignity, love and diligence. She always felt safe and valued. She left hospital 6 years ago very vulnerable and extremely poorly but during the time she lived there, she has thrived, gained weight due to nutritous meals, stimulated mentally with activities and was always comfortable and cared for with love.
I found everyone friendly, thoughtful and understanding. The care was fantastic, cheerful and compassionate.
To all at Ladymead Care Home. I have dated this review for August but it is an overall review to say thank you so much for everything that you did for my dad over the past 3 years. You not only looked after and cared for him but you also became his friend who kept him company and made him laugh. We cannot express what it has meant to us to know that he was surrounded by such lovely people during both the good and the bad times. We would also like to thank all of you for the support you gave us throughout the three years he lived at the home, especially in his final week. It was with your support that we were able to be there for him as a family. The work that all of you do is not easy but please know we have always appreciated what you did for him, and us and what you will continue to do for other families. We are forever grateful.
I have always found the staff very helpful and caring. They try very hard to give the residents activities to get them out of their rooms. The food is appreciated by the residents. The staff are happy and cheerful and this is reflected by the staff retention. The home does not use agency staff. The overall air of the home is happy and cheerful.
All the staff were kind, friendly and very helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. I was kept informed about my sister's health, every month they rang to see if I had any concerns about her and was told immediately if she needed to see a nurse or doctor ow was prescribed medication.
Excellent staff, very professional, very helpful and look after our friend with love and dignity from day one until her last days. Cannot fault them. Thank you all.
Mum moved into Ladymead 6 months ago and was made welcome from the moment she arrived. She loved the activities, especially the crafting which brought her great joy, from knit and natter to making decorations for the seasonal highlights - Christmas, Easter, St Patrick's and Comic Relief days. Every time we visited all the staff greeted us with a lovely warm smile and offered refreshments. The chef and her staff went out of their way to offer Mum tempting, tasty meals when her appetite became jaded. The manager was always available and a comforting influence whenever I had moments of stress. The whole experience of Ladymead was immensely pleasurable, both for Mum and her family visiting. Wonderful to the end.
