I have visited my uncle who is a resident many times over the past few years and have found Priestley Rose care home is caring, kind, helpful and informative.
The care my uncle receives has been of an excellent standard and remains consistent.
Staff are friendly and I have observed kindness
towards my uncle.

My father-in-law has very recently passed away in Priestley Nursing Home at the age of 89. His time in this lovely place has been nothing short of miraculous! He arrived at PR almost 3 years ago, having been given a hospital prognosis of just 6 weeks to live. My FIL has gone from strength to
strength thanks to the care, love and consideration he has been given by all of the amazing staff looking after him. He has been as happy as he could possibly be given that he lost mobility before going to Priestley Rose, and he has been content and extremely well cared for. As a family, we have been looked after too xx

I visited a relative a few days ago. I was impressed by the staff and carers. They were very attentive to my relative. They were given drinks frequently and were very pleasant. The staff on reception were very helpful too. All in all I am happy the way things are and pleased my relative is in good
care.

I have found the care home very good and welcoming. Staff are very helpful. Lots of things going on; activities; music. Pleased with Mom's care!

My x husband has been in the hospital for a few months, he kept on saying 'I can't wait to get back home' (Priestley Rose). All the staff treat him so well.

Since my father came to Priestley Rose in December 2025 his quality of life has improved in 2 ways. Firstly his cognitive skills have improved as he gets a lot of attention, company and stimulation from the fabulous staff there. His mental health has also improved as he now makes jokes and laughs at
their (many) jokes! He constantly praises the staff, telling me how good they are at making him comfortable, well-fed, and well-cared for. Also how kind they all are. Secondly his physical health has definitely improved as he eats, and enjoys, most of the food, so has put on some much-needed weight. He is encouraged to move around using his walker and he enjoys the seated exercises after lunch as well as the board games and bingo! The staff are always so welcoming and friendly when I visit, and I see how thoughtful and gentle they are with Dad, nothing's too much trouble to keep him happy and happy he is! Dad is thriving there, so thank you very much to all the staff at Priestley Rose.

Our family is so grateful for the wonderful care our father receives at Priestley Rose. From the beginning, he has been treated with dignity and respect, taking the time to listen to his needs and preferences. The team here see him as an individual, not just as a resident. They truly care about his
wellbeing, not only meeting his physical needs but also supporting him emotionally and socially. He is comfortable and settled and feels that he is in a warm and supportive environment. Knowing our father is in such compassionate hands is a godsend. Thank you to all at Priestley Rose.

Whilst David has only been at this home for a short time I have been impressed with the staff. When I have asked for anything to be done it has been sorted out immediately.
I find the atmosphere at the home very good. I feel happy that he is being looked after so well.

Partner has been at Priestly Rose for 2 years. With all the care and support he receives has really improved on arrival at PR he was PEG fed. Now he is on 3 meals a day and he can drink by himself needs assistance for feeding. So a great improvement. PR is always welcoming staff, management always
help with any concerns . (which are very rare!) Great food and activities (entertainment).

Dad became a resident of Priestley Rose in Sept 2025. At the time, he wasn't in great shape. We were very concerned at his weight and getting him to eat and drink was extremely difficult. However, Priestley Rose have a formidable team who have clearly worked their magic as Dad has since rallied,
eating and drinking more and putting weight back on. The team are great. Empathic, understanding, kind, considerate, respectful and always good with families. We made the best choice we could for Dad by taking him to Priestly Rose. I scored activities N/A as I can't comment. I've not been there to witness. Food variation is difficult for Dad, but it's still good.

From our first visit we have been so very impressed with every aspect of Priestley Rose. First and most importantly, every member of staff we have met has been superb. They clearly care about the welfare of the residents and their families. We have gained enormous confidence knowing our Dad is in
excellent hands. All the support necessary is on hand immediately, the rooms are spacious and warm. We have peace of mind knowing our Dad is in the care of such true professionals who have empathy and kindness.

Couldn't praise the staff enough for the way they looked after my nan, she loved them as much as they loved her, thank you to everyone at the care home. There entertainment days were really enjoyable and fun.
