The staff at Valley Court Care Home are exceptional. My mother enjoyed the care she received at the home and, during her illness and unfortunate passing in March 2025, the care and empathy they showed her and us was amazing. The caring profession is underrated in terms of the work, understanding and efforts that those who work in it bring to their jobs every single day. The Valley Court team exemplify this and my family and I are so grateful to them for caring for mom.
I would like to thank all the staff at Valley Court for the love and care they have shown to both my parents especially since the passing of my father. The amount of kindness and support given to my mother in dealing with our loss is outstanding . They provided a wake for my father which was beyond what was expected., giving him and us as a family the send off he deserved. To the activity staff, the care and thought that went into making our gathering was beyond words.I want to thank them all from the bottom of my heart. I cant thank the staff enough for their kindness for making it their home. It was difficult initially getting my parents used to a new environment but the staff understood and made it as painless as possible. The comfort given to me by the dedication of Beth to ensure my mothers well-being through this trying time has been exceptional.
My nan has been at Valley Court for 2 months now and she likes to refer to being here as being on holiday! She has a new lease of life and it’s nice to know how happy she is here. We don’t have to worry about her and all the staff are amazing! Always going above and beyond, they treat all the residents like family. There is always a story for her to tell when we go to visit her. Couldn’t recommend this care home enough.
Nan has been here a couple of months now. Lovely, caring, homely place that treats residents like their own family! Staff and management are thoughtful and on the ball. Activity coordinators are top-notch! After a bad experience elsewhere Valley Court is a breath of fresh air! Highly recommended!
My mum was in the care home and the staff did not do a very good job. My mom was not looked after well and it was very difficult to get anyone to help with my mum and it was not a good place to go to.
My father went to Valley Court two months ago following a stay in hospital after being diagnosed with dementia, all the staff gave outstanding care to my dad and always found time to talk to myself, my mother and my brother. I really can't praise the staff enough. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Valley Court to anyone.
My father has been at Valley Court for just over two years. He recently turned 100 and, despite his health, the home enabled it to be a really lovely, memorable day. Nothing was too much trouble. All the people there are very caring and this is evident in the way he has been looked after and cared for.
In general, the staff were as helpful as they thought they could be. Unfortunately, I took my dad out for a few hours and came back to a dirty room, his breakfast plate and drinks were exactly where he had left them, bed sheets unchanged, nothing washed up. Losing all items of clothing. No one seemed to know what was going on, couldn’t tell me if he had had a shower or if he had been offered a shower and then declined. Slept in his clothes that he wore all day. Excuses were made as to why he had no clothes, no PJs. I was told it’s the family’s job to label clothes, however, I don’t live in the same country so unclear how I was going to do that when this was my first visit. It’s very disappointing.
My mother was admitted to Valley Court Care Home a few weeks ago. This was a concern for me as I had a very negative view on care homes. I am very pleased to say that this has now been proven to be completely incorrect. Without exception, I have found all of the staff friendly, supportive and some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are enthusiastic, caring and always exceed our expectations. I could write so many positive reviews on how I have found them and the care they provide to my mother, not to mention other residents. Also, It has to be said that I personally have had such fabulous support in helping me deal with the emotional impact of my mother's condition. A significant highlight has to be that of the entertainment team, with support from other staff members, they have already provided us with such wonderful memories which have lifted our whole family at a time when we have felt so worried and concerned with such an amazing, positive impact on my mother!
I would like to express my thanks to the manager and her team for the care that her team gives to the resident in the home. My mother is well looked after. The home is spotlessly clean, and the staff are friendly. The food looks great. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Our relative has been at Valley Court for approximately seven months. In that time, the staff have looked after the resident with good care and dignity. They attend to the needs of the residents and provide a welcome and friendly approach to any of our needs and requests for information. They also provide activities and stimulation for the residents.
My mum was transferred to Valley Court in October 2021 with a terminal cancer diagnosis of 3 months, during Covid. As with many care homes, they had their trials and tribulations of Covid outbreaks and staff absence issues, but that did not detract from the care and dedication they provided for my mum during her stay. Mum was as sharp as a razor and more than aware of her diagnosis, but the staff helped her navigate through her darkest hours with dignity and resolve. Mum was fortunate enough to spend the last few months of her life in the care of Valley Court, with the most caring of human beings anyone could wish for. From the nurses, carers, cooks and cleaners; every single one of them a ray of sunshine whom I am eternally indebted to. Thank you Valley Court.
I don't know where to start! Both my parents have lived at Valley Court. We searched around for what we hoped would be the best place for our parents to see out their lives. We stumbled across Valley Court. As soon as we entered Valley Court, we knew that this was the place for my parents, it felt like home from home and boy we were right. I could name people, but all the staff at the home work as a team and it would be wrong to put someone above the other. All the team have shown compassion and love for both parents until the very end of their journey in this life. The food is all home-cooked, which counts for a lot with my parent's age group. The activities and providers of the activities are excellent. The family cannot thank everyone enough for the gift of care that has been bestowed on my parents. If anyone is looking for a safe haven for their loved ones, this is the place and long may it continue in these times. Thank you all again.
Valley Court is an excellent home. I give it an excellent name. The girls work hard and I'm treated like family everywhere I go. People ask me where mom is and I tell them. My friends say what an excellent home it is. My mother is 101 years old. She is treated with kindness and respect.
I can’t thank and continue to thank all the staff for looking after my dad. He has been in the home and bed-bound since his arrival in March 2020, but even though visiting has been difficult due to lockdowns etc, we are reassured and know he is very well looked after and the staff are very warm and friendly.
My husband and I were familiar with this home for approximately ten years when we used to visit my husband's best friend's mum on a regular basis. She resided there for around 12 years until she died at the very good age of 99! Each time we visited, we were always made welcome by the staff and over that period became familiar with the carers and nurses, whom we had no doubt really cared for the residents. Therefore, when my mum suffered a serious stroke almost three years ago and needed constant care, this home was our obvious choice for her. The staff are friendly and have shown great care, patience and compassion to her and allow me to relax in the knowledge that she is actually looked after more knowledgeably and professionally than I could do myself, and therefore I would have no hesitation in recommending the home, and all the lovely staff to anyone hoping to find a home for their loved one.
My Nan has settled in lovely, it has been a worrying time and such a reassurance that she has settled in. She knows the staff’s name and details about the staff. They take their time and talk to me about who my Nan is as a person. They treat her like they are their mum or grandparent. My Nan talks highly of staff and how she is treated. She is informed of all her care and knows what she is doing. She is respected as a person. I am thankful she is in this care home. I am also thankful for the staff!
My mom is treated as if she was their mom, the carers and nurses are very caring and attentive. As you walk through the main entrance, it’s very welcoming, light and cheerful. I can’t give them enough praise for all the hard work they do.
Great care home and well maintained. Great staff and management, and made my mother feel at ease. Must say it was one of the best care homes I visited in the area. I can rest at home knowing my mother is in safe hands and happy. Thank you everyone.
