View Full Details of Hatton Court Nursing HomeMy mum and dad have moved into Hatton Court nursing home last week. Both are very happy. They have seen more of each other since they have been in the nursing home, than they saw of each other in the own home over the last 6 months. As for me and the rest of the family we are more relaxed because we know that they are being well looked after and that's all we wanted for hem.
Our mother came to Hutton Court in August 2024. I had been her full time care giver for 2 1/2 years. Since a stroke in April 2023 her abilities had been affected and over time became more complicated. After a fall she became very weak and was transferred to Hatton Court team on a stretcher. Over time mum has become fairly accepting of the situation and at times she is mobile and surprises the family and staff. The Hatton Court staff are understanding and tolerant of mums ups and downs, are supportive and encouraging. The staff have made a real effort to understanding and learn about her past life achievements. We feel blessed to have mum in such a caring environment.
All staff are welcoming kind and patient. The care manager is willing to answer any of our questions. Care of our mum is in a compassionate and considerate way. Our mum is always clean, warm and personal care and safety well well-maintained. Our mum is encouraged to take part where possible and is well-monitored and nursed. We have seen some improvements as mum has settled and because used to regular care.
Very pleased with the care provided. Staff including carers, housekeepers and maintenance team are all very friendly towards my mum, creating a lovely environment with a community feel. My mum loves all the staff and always has a smile for them. Activities are varied, and there is something for everyone to enjoy, thank you for including my mum. The home is very clean and tidy but at the same time homely. A great team who all work together perfectly.
My husband was transferred to Hatton Court from hospital on an enablement basis. He has been treated with care, compassion, and dignity. We are both delighted with the nursing home, it is far superior to others where he has been on respite care. He will require permanent residential care and we both hope he will be able to stay permanently.
My mom was discharged from the hospital to Hatton Court, which Mom found distressing. The staff went above and beyond to help Mom settle, even moving her to different rooms. Mom was always treated with kindness, dignity and compassion; this helped Mom accept that she needed nursing care, and she soon settled. Mom said that she felt safe and well cared for, and she felt well supported to maintain some of her independence. Mom enjoyed the activities and looked forward to a Tuesday when she would visit the lovely hairdresser. As a family, we will always be grateful for the wonderful care given to Mom.
My auntie was at Hatton Court for 5 years. She loved her time there. I can't praise them enough, all staff are lovely and caring to residents and their families and do everything they can to help.
My mother-in-law went to Hatton Court Nursing Home for some respite care due to an illness and a couple of falls. The home provided great care by assisting her to become well and mobile. All staff were friendly and professional. My mother-in-law always commented on how good the food was and how attentive the staff were and they helped her get back on her feet to enable her to come back home.
Mom moved to Hatton Court 4 months ago following a very serious illness at what was a very stressful and anxious time for the family. However, I have to say the move turned out to be a very positive experience which has resulted in an unbelievable improvement to Mom's quality of life. The friendly and welcoming management and staff have made the move such a positive experience, Mom has settled extremely well and is now enjoying a new lease of life. The home is pleasant, grounds are well maintained and the rooms are kept tidy. The management and nursing team keep us updated on Mom's well-being and care needs at all times, as for the care team nothing is to much trouble. Thank you so much to all staff at Hatton Court.
All the staff and management were very good with Dad and us working in a professional and caring way. The building and facilities are also very good.
Since my mother moved to this care home she is noticeably calmer and happier. The quality of care and the friendliness of the staff has made a real difference to both her and my experience during this challenging life change. The staff are very responsive, caring and knowledgeable and go out of their way to accommodate anything my mum needs. I feel so much happier knowing that my mum has the right level of care so gently given. Many thanks to all the staff at Hatton Court Nursing Home.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The building and rooms are light, clean and well kept. The outside areas are neat and filled with attractive plants and trees which can be easily seen from the residents rooms. The residents appear to be well cared for; our relative is happy, settled and relaxed.
I cannot fault anything. All levels of staff are attentive and have an empathic understanding of the needs of the elderly. The care is superb with staff that are caring and compassionate. Food is exceptional and plenty of it. There are impressive and immersive activities every day. The rooms and furnishings are excellent being light, clean and able to be personalised. The manager is friendly and has a passion and enthusiasm to uphold the excellent standard of care, putting the residents first. Everyone goes above and beyond to make this place a happy and friendly home from home. Excellent in every aspect and in every way.
Friendly, secure environment and staff always on hand. Mum's room is lacking a TV, which I thought would be standard. At times there is a very strong smell of urine in corridors. Overall, no complaints.
The home is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful, the overall first impressions are how clean the home is and there appears to be plenty planned for the residents to do! They all say they enjoy the food! Day trips for those that want them are regularly organized.
My review is that the staff are very helpful. Also, our friend says he wished he had gone in there previously and is very happy with everything there, which I think is excellent.
We were so pleased that Dad was given first class care at Hatton Court. All of the staff made it seem like they had all the time in the world for him when we knew how extremely busy they were. Dad enjoyed the delicious meals, it was so lovely that they gave Dad his breakfast early in the dining room as he has always been an early riser even while others were sleeping still. We were impressed with the activities which were organised for each afternoon - they certainly brightened Dads day for him. Trips out were a highlight. As visitors we were always welcomed and cared for as well when Dads health declined. I cant tell you how many times I have said to people that I found the best home for my Dad in Hatton Court. Hopefully there will be a place there for your loved ones.
I am sorry to have to inform you that our brother-in-law has been with Hatton Court for twelve months. Understandably due to the country's pandemic we understand there are a series of issues, but unfortunately, as a family, we need to voice our concerns/issues. No 1. Our brother-in-law has lost several pairs of glasses at great expense to the family. No 2. Due to the lack of family involvement, our brother-in-law has deteriorated considerably. No 3. The family has viewed and witnessed the cleanliness of his personal room. For example, we have photo graphical evidence that dirty clothes are mixed with clean laundry No 4. As a family, we have viewed our family member wearing unrecognizable clothes that we have supplied and we have felt we have supplied the proper clothing for him to wear. No 5. We feel the communication between family and care home has been somewhat lacking. After 12 months of being in the home, we are still unaware of the actual situation of the condition of our family member.
My sister is in Hatton Court but to try and talk to her on the telephone is usually a problem i.e. sorry you have come on the landline, we are having problems with the mobiles at the moment or sorry all the mobiles are busy at the moment. I bought a mobile phone off of Amazon and had it delivered to my sister so she had her own phone. Then I am told it's switched off because she doesn't know how to use it. I have reported the problem previously, the answer was we will get the phones sorted so on Saturday 24th July at 6.30pm I phoned Hatton Court to talk to my sister. The person on duty says sorry we are having problems with the mobiles. I don't think the problem is with the mobiles. I have names of the people who come up with the same excuses, who I am not allowed to name on your website. Also, we gave her her spectacles when we visited her and now they have gone missing along with her hearing aids and various items of clothing.
My Mother was a resident at Hatton Court from May to December 2019. She was treated well and all the staff did a very good job during her stay. I can not recommend this place enough. Well done to all.
