Mum has been in Lightmoor since June 2025.
Prior to admission, mum's diet was very limited to mash/gravy, the occassional savoury item and sweet foods. Since mum's admission into Lightmoor she now eats fish, meat and pasta meals.
Mum has a lovely room with garden view.
Staff always friendly,
patient and helpful with mum despite the challenges with her anxiety and dementia.
Any issue or concern that i raise is taken on board and addressed. Communication is good.

My father was admitted into this care home just over a week ago. I visited him last Monday (I live and work many miles away so have to plan special trips) as he said he was being treated like a 'prisoner'.
When I visited him, I met the staff and gave him some money. I also put money in the office
and asked to ensure that dad's hair was cut which the staff assured me would happen as he was looking very dishevelled and unkempt.
I left, leaving my contact details with the staff.
On Thursday 30th, Dad called me to say he was not being cared for and wanted other people's numbers to help him get back home to his flat, as he was being neglected. He also said he was still trying to get a haircut.

I would never recommend this home to anyone. My dad was not kept safe by the staff even though he had a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia.
The food was fine but the care was not acceptable and the safeguarding was non-existent. Using a lot of agency staff does not give continuity with
residents.
