View Full Details of Autumn House Nursing HomeMy dad suffered a major step change in his Alzheimer's condition early in July of 2024, and following a week in hospital (and being assessed as needing 24 hour care), Dad transferred to and became a resident at Autumn House. The Autumn House staff worked wonders with Dad's physical health, and he really enjoyed the next six months there, socialising and taking part in all of the arranged activities, albeit "in the moment" because sadly, Dad could never remember what he had done. Following a more serious step change in his condition at the end of 2024, Dad was placed on end of life care until he passed away in March 2025. The support provided to Dad (and our family) and the care, attention, and indeed, love, shown to Dad during his time at Autumn House was exceptional and will never be forgotten by my brother and I (and our family). Autumn House is a very special place, and Dad was very happy there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Autumn House to anyone.
My Dad is currently a resident at Autumn House. He moved from residential care into Autumn House for nursing care in Feb 2025 and I have been absolutely thrilled with the care he has received during his stay. Dad is so content at Autumn House. He is treated with care, kindness and dignity. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the home has a lovely overall feel to it. The rooms and public areas are clean and airy whilst also being stylishly furnished. I would absolutely recommend Autumn House without any hesitation. Thank you so much to the staff for all you do.
My Dad was admitted to Autumn house a week ago. The place is spotless, staff were very friendly and any request was never to much trouble. My Dad was treated with the upmost respect and care at all times. Dad was only there for a week due to him passing away. Even after Dad's passing they were so passionate and shown him the upmost respect. We as a family will never forget how good you were to Dad and us as a family. We are eternitly great full for everything you did in Dad's final week.x
My family cannot fault the care & attention given to my Mother. The staff are very caring & kind.
My husband is a resident of Autumn House, myself and my family are so pleased with the exceptional care he is receiving. All the staff ar Autumn House go that extra mile to the residents. Thank you so much.
The standard of service has been excellent. Staff go above and beyond to care for residents and to support relatives. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The building is well maintained and kept beautifully clean. The food is good and appreciated by residents.
The home is just outstanding in all areas. The staff are very professional while still showing real love and care. The activities team are excellent and hard working and make a difference. This is a community and a place where residents are truly looked after in the best possible way.
There aren't enough words to express the wonderful care that is given to my dearest husband. He is given the best respect and joy since being there. Hats off to every single one - God bless you all.
My mother moved to Autumn House for palliative care after seventeen weeks in hospital. The care and attention she received at Autumn House was exceptional. All staff from nurses, carers, managers, housekeepers, laundry staff were so welcoming, kind and efficient in the care of my mum. I particularly noticed the calm and peaceful atmosphere. All the staff seemed to enjoy their roles and were supportive to my dad and I. Cannot fault the high standard of care.
My wife was at Autumn House for three weeks for palliative care. The standards were very high and the care given was excellent. After a long spell in hospital the privacy was appreciated and the kindness of every member of staff encountered. Not only caring for my wife but supportive of me and my daughter. Nothing but praise for this establishment. Thank you.
I have nothing but praise for the staff at this nursing home.
We as a family could not be happier with the care my mum is getting she is been well looked after by the wonderful staff. The home is beautiful and kept lovely and clean. We just wanted to express our gratitude for the care, nursing and catering that Mum received in your lovely care home.
Mum was very well looked after and cared for over the three years she was in the nursing home. The staff were all fantastic and she enjoyed staying there. I cannot express how much I loved the staff for taking care of Mum, especially the last few weeks of her life and will miss them all. As a thank you, we donated money from Mum's funeral to the residents' activities.
My mum has been in Autumn House Nursing Home for three months. During this time she has received good care, the staff are excellent in looking after her needs on a daily basis. Since she has been there she has become more settled and happy in herself. The home is exceptionally clean, her room is warm and welcoming with a nice view over fields. The food there is good quality and the menu is varied. I would have no hesitation in recommending Autumn House to anyone considering it as an option for a loved one.
Autumn House is a lovely care home, it's a caring place. Carers are one in a million. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
Mum transferred to Autumn House 12 months ago due to her previous care home stating that they could not meet her needs. Autumn House staff helped her settle in and have maintained her fluids and nutrition. Mum is well cared for and as I visit 5 days a week, I see the care she and the other residents receive, which is professional and caring.
Mum feels content here. All of the staff are very kind caring and friendly. The home is very well decorated and clean creating a very pleasant atmosphere, although Mum's bedroom is in need of decoration. We are very happy with the way Mum is being looked after.
My auntie sadly passed away in Autumn House Nursing Home on 10th October, following a long period of living there. I am a registered nurse and have worked in the NHS as such for forty-two years. I was so impressed to see the nursing standards we were taught all those years ago were in place in this home. The staff were caring and supportive of both my auntie and the family alike. The care she was given was excellent. She was treated with dignity throughout, turned two hourly, beautifully clean and presented and actual oral care was performed every 30 minutes. I haven’t seen this happen for many years when visiting family in the main hospital. The home was welcoming, the staff obviously knew my auntie well, they came in regularly when we were visiting just to check we were ok. The whole ethos of care was excellent in the end-of-life situation. Thank you all for your care, keep up the good work.
Mum has been in Autumn House since April, and I feel that she has settled in. Autumn House is a calm, clean and hospitable environment. All the staff are really friendly and caring towards Mum and ensure that all her needs are met. Nothing is too much trouble. It is lovely to visit Mum and chat with staff and visitors. Our friends and family who have visited, have been positive about Autumn House. I only wish that I had known about Autumn House when Mum needed respite care earlier this year.
Very clean, friendly staff and supportive senior leadership team. Very beautiful and functional design. Responsive polite service always listened to what the family had to say. Good communication and honesty, direct but supportive with family especially towards the end.
