My wife entered Autumn House just before Christmas 2025 for end of life care and died on the 1st March, 2026. The staff were compassionate, empathic and wholly professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. They treated my wife with dignity and supported me through the difficult time of being with her as she died. We were both overwhelmed with many examples of kindness. The management of this home lead by example and instill in the staff a passion for excellence. I have worked for years in the private sector of health care and found the levels of professionalism at this nursing home to be superb. If I ever need the type of care Autumn House offers, without hesitation, this where I shall come. I would recommend Autumn House to anyone.

From the front desk to all the teams involved on a day to day basis, the dignity, love and care Dad was shown was exemplary. It was a challenging time for Dad and all of us, but the professionalism, compassion and understanding given to Dad made his final chapter as comfortable as it could have been. Dad was fiercely independent until last summer, so his move to Autumn House in August was a significant and unsettling change for him, but the staff helped him adjust, rally, and in the end feel as though Autumn House had become home.

Knowing he felt settled in his final months brought us enormous comfort.

My father went to live at Autumn House at the end of September 2025. His health had been up and down due to difficulties managing his medicines and recent TIAs. Within a few hours, Autumn House had obtained and understood his medical history and needs, and very quickly stabilised his condition. The team were fantastic, responsive and helpful. The facilities were perfectly ideal for my dad. Service provided was excellent, reliable and very friendly. We are really pleased we chose Autumn House for my dad's care.

My grandad came to Autumn House at the end of his life. I work in a different care home and it is not a patch on AH. The staff were polite, they made our family their family. Grandad was helped to settle. His room was kept nice and he was encouraged to live his life to the full till the end.

The staff at Autumn House made my dad very welcome. They supported all his complex medical needs and gently and sensitively encouraged him to settle and feel at home. Many of the staff went above and beyond and helped both dad and the whole family when dad was reaching the end. Very impressed, highly recommended if there was an award higher then 10 give it!

As a family we feel Mum is extremely well cared for. Every member of staff that we have met so far is superb - all seem very happy in their work. The building itself feels like a 'home' rather than a facility - great decoration, etc. Entertainment and activities are superb. Staff member Jo is exceptional, so is Lucy on reception. Alison is great with Mum. xxxx

Exceptional nursing home from start to finish! We have felt very welcomed and supported since my grandma arrived. All of the staff have been so kind and attentive, and have always gone the extra mile, and have kept us well informed. They treat residents like family! We couldn't have asked for a better or more dignified care home for my grandma. Thank you so much to Julie (who couldn't have done enough for us!) and her team. We are forever grateful and would highly recommend!

Our mum spent the last 3 months of her life at Autumn House after moving from a care home. The care she was given was really excellent; despite being very frail she was transferred to a chair so that she could be supported to eat with other residents and take part in activities. All staff treated her with kindness and respect and all her needs were met. Mum died at the care home and myself and my partner were present. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive to us; they communicated clearly and promptly with me so that I could travel to be with her from Yorkshire. Mum was supported to have a really good death at Autumn House. The staff on duty at the time, Emma during the day and nurse Grace and carer Linda were so kind and supportive to us all ensuring that mum had necessary medication and was comfortable in her final hours. They made sure that we understood what was happening, giving us food and drinks and we were given a room to stay in. We cannot thank the home enough.

My dad suffered a major step change in his Alzheimer's condition early in July of 2024, and following a week in hospital (and being assessed as needing 24 hour care), Dad transferred to and became a resident at Autumn House. The Autumn House staff worked wonders with Dad's physical health, and he really enjoyed the next six months there, socialising and taking part in all of the arranged activities, albeit "in the moment" because sadly, Dad could never remember what he had done. Following a more serious step change in his condition at the end of 2024, Dad was placed on end of life care until he passed away in March 2025. The support provided to Dad (and our family) and the care, attention, and indeed, love, shown to Dad during his time at Autumn House was exceptional and will never be forgotten by my brother and I (and our family). Autumn House is a very special place, and Dad was very happy there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Autumn House to anyone.

My Dad is currently a resident at Autumn House. He moved from residential care into Autumn House for nursing care in Feb 2025 and I have been absolutely thrilled with the care he has received during his stay.
Dad is so content at Autumn House. He is treated with care, kindness and dignity. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the home has a lovely overall feel to it.
The rooms and public areas are clean and airy whilst also being stylishly furnished.
