The home is having a lot of changes, all communal areas & bedrooms are being decorated, they look amazing, welcoming and homely. There has been new management and staff which I find able to approach to express my views, they are always willing to listen and solve or put my mind at ease. Mum has lived at the home for 3 years and all the staff (domestics, laundry, handymen, kitchen, activities, carers) are all very friendly and warmhearted and each make Mum's life there very comfortable. The nurses ensure she is comfortable and as pain free as possible, Mum would always give them kisses which shows she is happy with them all. I would recommend Ashcroft for your loved one to be looked after very well. Thank you all very much xx

We could not recommend Meadowfields enough as it truly is a caring community.

Since moving Dad in (January), we have seen massive improvements in him. Could not ask for more.

Every member of staff is kind, calm and friendly The care is person-centred and compassionate. The room is cleaned every day and it's warm and cosy - items can be taken in to display in the room like family photos & ornaments etc. It's a Home - from - Home atmosphere.

Meadowfields is exactly what a care home should be - a resident's home, where people are supported to live with dignity, choice and respect.

My father came for respite after breaking his back. Within days, the wonderful team had started his rehabilitation and he made fantastic progress. Everything centred around his choices, from when he wanted to get up to what he wanted to eat.

My mother was welcomed daily and invited to share meals with him. The activities are amazing, with so much effort and care put into giving residents a fulfilling life. The team even took my parents out for a meal together, creating special memories.

Everyone at Meadowfields made us feel like part of the family. My father had previously hated respite care, yet he was genuinely upset to leave Meadowfields - which says everything.

A huge thank you to the entire team. You are a credit to Northgate Healthcare. I would have no hesitation recommending Meadowfields. Truly a flagship example of how care should be

My dad loves being at the care home, sometimes he gets a bit depressed because he would rather/ be at home but he knows he can't. I know he is safe and Well taken care of which makes me feel a lot more relaxed. The staff & management are all lovely, helpful & will do whatever they can to make the residents feel at home. The home is very well maintained, exceptionally clean & smells lovely. All the residents are treated with dignity & respect. They have activities daily & have singers, farm animals etc come in which they all love. I'm very happy that I know dad is safe & well taken care of

My Dad has been here for nearly two years. The care and support he has received has been exceptional. The Staff are very friendly and we always feel very welcome and part of the family. The entertainment team keep everyone occupied and happy which is very important when you have dementia and get confused when on your own, thank you to everyone for all they do for Dad.

Meadowfields Care Home is a lovely, welcoming home, literally a home from home. The staff are very professional and extremely caring of all family members.

My wife and I have assisted my sister over the past two years since my brother in law died. She had mobility issues which deteriorated recently to be too difficult to love alone. Both my father and his brother passed their final years in Lane House and both my sister and I visited them regularly in the 1990's so my sister requested that she could live there if a room was available. My wife and I find Lane House a special place, my sister is the happiest we have seen her in the past 2 years we like the friendly staff. The home is well kept and wonderful.

My aunt is really happy with the care at The Firs. The staff are fantastic with residents individual needs. After living alone for a number of years, the company and help she receives is outstanding. Highly recommend!

My husband's aunty is very happy with her care at The Firs. All of the staff have a good interaction with the residents and are happy to help with anything they need.

This place is fab-u-lous. Cant express strongly enough of the 'care' the residents receive. My auntie is a resident at The Firs. Shes been there 18 months as she couldn't cope at home anymore. The place is second to none. They put the care in care home. Recently my auntie had to go into hospital. The carers on shift that night stayed an hour over their shift to be with her.

Staff have been wonderful and very helpful in making time for everybody and very welcome and ensuring that everybody has the chance to be involved in the activities.

My wife entered Autumn House just before Christmas 2025 for end of life care and died on the 1st March, 2026. The staff were compassionate, empathic and wholly professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. They treated my wife with dignity and supported me through the difficult time of being with her as she died. We were both overwhelmed with many examples of kindness. The management of this home lead by example and instill in the staff a passion for excellence. I have worked for years in the private sector of health care and found the levels of professionalism at this nursing home to be superb. If I ever need the type of care Autumn House offers, without hesitation, this where I shall come. I would recommend Autumn House to anyone.

Moms health has also flourished in every way, including mentally and it's just the best place. We feel lucky to have found you!

I would like to add how wonderful the food is, the quality and the choice there is wonderful. They use a really good catering service, and the cook there is brilliant. She puts love into every meal she makes. Her cakes that she makes the residents should win awards!!! As time has gone by I’m happier and happier this is now well into her first year. The Staff are just perfection and the world should know about it!

Knowing he felt settled in his final months brought us enormous comfort.

What a lovely place! The staff are friendly, patient and caring. The residents are happy and my mom likes it here. She feels safe and I know she is looked after in a safe environment. I am very grateful to have found somewhere to perfect for my moms needs.
