The Firs is an excellently run and well managed care home. The staff are its greatest asset - they are caring, professional and thorough. They treat the residents (including my mom) with respect and maintain her dignity. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. All administrative issues are
dealt with efficiently and communication is first class. Medicines are administered diligently and daily activities are varied and excellent. A kind, caring ethos pervades the home embodied by the manager who is very much hands on and approachable. My mom has been extremely well cared for in the past year and my family are very grateful and reassured by the high quality of care of The Firs.

I have been so impressed with the genuine care and friendliness of the staff. There is always some activity going on for the residents. The carers facilitate a weekly facetime for me as I live abroad. My mother couldn't be in better care.

Since moving into The Firs care home in January 2025 my mother has been treated with care, respect and dignity. All the staff are amazing. Activities are carefully planned, and fun. I couldn't wish for a better care home for my mum.

My mother has been at The Firs for the last two years. She settled in really well and that was due to all the staff being so incredibly caring and friendly. My mom enjoys the many activities at The Firs that include singers, school visits, animal visits and trips out for lunches and shopping, amongst
many other things. My mom enjoys diamond art and having a chat with other residents. There is a varied menu for meals and the food looks delicious. All the staff are very attentive and are quick to pick up on any issues. The home is always spotlessly clean and it is beautifully decorated. The Firs seems to be run very efficiently.

My mum has been a resident at The Firs care home for a year now. She always appears to be happy and content. She enjoys the company and the food enormously. Everyone is so friendly and kind. The staff are amazing! It's wonderful to know mum is in such a warm, friendly place and that she feels happy

The firs is a lovely place, beautifully maintianed with particularly pleasant lounges. Every member of staff I've encountered has been cheery and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The activities put on for residents are particularly impressive too - 'crafting' for the rollout of events celebrated
throughout the year... and an exercise class which feels like a workout for any visiting relative/friend who wishes to join in! I would recommend The Firs very highly.

Fantastic facilities & staff. Very caring towards my mom (Mavis) and have a laugh & joke with her too which lifts her spirits. Can't tell you how much of a relief it is for me to know she is cared for in this way. I am very happy with her level of care & the facilities available.

I cannot fault The Firs. The care of my husband is fantastic. Nothing is a problem to any of the staff and they all work as a team. It is a real family atmosphere. They go out of their way to make sure he has everything that he needs and always inform me of anything that he needs etc. The entertainment

Overall I am very pleased with the care my mother is currently receiving. The quality of the food is very good and her room is always very clean, warm and tidy. The quality of the laundry is excellent, with items of clothing being washed and usually returned promptly. However, there have been several
instances when clearly labelled garments have not found their way back to my mother. This is undoubtedly is a problem taking into account the volume of laundry made by residents daily; management have been made aware of this issue. All caring staff and cleaners are hard working, very pleasant and helpful. The administration is outstanding, with queries answered promptly and there is careful control of sundry monies. Extended welfare issues (appointments) are monitored closely. Everything is done to keep residents occupied; which is very much a labour of love in a very difficult environment. There is little doubt that The Firs fosters dignity and respect for all residents - Thank you

My brother moved into The Firs Care Home June 2024 due to his mobility and age-related issues, being 92 years. He adapted quite good with the excellent support of staff and care workers for which I am thankful. It was his own choice moving into care the home care system was not working for him. I shall
be eternally grateful to all the staff at The Firs he has had various setbacks with his health but they have always sorted him out one way or another. Thank you all at The Firs Care Home. Good bless you all.

My experience of The Firs Care Home has been a very positive one. The staff are excellent. My mother went into The Firs on a couple of occasions on a respite basis before it became a permanent arrangement. She was made to feel very welcome and has settled in really well. Along with the rest of my family,
I have peace of mind in that she's being well cared for and looked after. Please keep up the good work!
