The home itself is spotlessly clean + there is a happy feel about the whole place when you visit. The Firs is an excellently run and well managed care home. The staff are its greatest asset - they are caring, professional and thorough. They treat the residents (including my mom) with respect and maintain her dignity. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. All administrative issues are dealt with efficiently and communication is first class. Medicines are administered diligently and daily activities are varied and excellent. A kind, caring ethos pervades the home embodied by the manager who is very much hands on and approachable. My mom has been extremely well cared for in the past year and my family are very grateful and reassured by the high quality of care of The Firs.
I have been so impressed with the genuine care and friendliness of the staff. There is always some activity going on for the residents. The carers facilitate a weekly facetime for me as I live abroad. My mother couldn't be in better care.

My mom enjoys diamond art and having a chat with other residents. There is a varied menu for meals and the food looks delicious. All the staff are very attentive and are quick to pick up on any issues. The home is always spotlessly clean and it is beautifully decorated. The Firs seems to be run very efficiently.
