Overall very pleased with the level of care that is provided to my mom. The care home has regular activities and entertainment, which I feel is very important, especially living with dementia. Very caring staff and I am confident in knowing my mom is being looked after. I think, personally, this is
the best care home in the area.

I am completely satisfied with the service provided and the level of care the residents receive. It is a happy environment and the staff are very friendly. During the past 12-months, where I have not been into the building, there has been entertainment and activities provided.

Lovely staff, very pleasant, always happy to chat with the residents. Feels more like family really than carers. Mom is very settled. The rooms are nice. Food is once; Mom says can't grumble. Activities are put on to keep everyone busy and occupied. We love seeing all the photos and videos; it keeps
us connected. Thank you all so much for allowing visits to start.

Victoria Harvey has been a cornerstone of The Firs since 2008, showing unwavering commitment to its residents. When Northgate purchased the home, Victoria was already the manager, a role in which she has excelled by ensuring the highest quality of care and a warm, welcoming environment for all.


Victoria’s dedication to the well-being of her residents is evident in every aspect of her work. She goes above and beyond to ensure each individual feels valued and cared for, nurturing a strong sense of community at The Firs. Her long tenure at the home is a testament to her deep passion and love for what she does, continuously proving that high standards of care and genuine connection go hand in hand
