My mother has been here for two weeks following a hospital stay. I can't thank the management team and staff enough for their kindness, flexibility and patience in helping my mother settle in as best as they can and for their reassurance with the family.

My mother has resided at The Firs Care Home for three years. I find the staff extremely caring and compassionate. I am always informed by staff about any changes in my mother's condition. I would highly recommend The Firs. I have also noticed about the consistency of the staff, which in my opinion,

My mum has been a resident of The Firs Care Home since July 2020. The staff at the care home have been amazing during this time. They welcomed her in the middle of the pandemic when we were struggling, as a family, to provide daily support for her. All necessary checks were carried out effectively,
but sympathetically as well. Since then, she has settled in fabulously and seems really happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Firs as an ideal home for people who needs extra care to support their daily needs.

Since our mother has been at The Firs, she has received exceptional care. The care staff are absolutely outstanding, and we are very happy with the care Mom is receiving. The Firs has done an outstanding job during the lockdown, and for us to be able to see Mom in the pod has been fantastic. Overall,
we can't fault the service of care at The Firs.

Overall very pleased with the level of care that is provided to my mom. The care home has regular activities and entertainment, which I feel is very important, especially living with dementia. Very caring staff and I am confident in knowing my mom is being looked after. I think, personally, this is
the best care home in the area.

I am completely satisfied with the service provided and the level of care the residents receive. It is a happy environment and the staff are very friendly. During the past 12-months, where I have not been into the building, there has been entertainment and activities provided.

Dear Anne, the last 12-months have been extremely changeling for the care sector, but as a company, and for our individual care homes, we have got through this period and some type of normality is resuming. All the staff at The Firs ranging from kitchen, domestics through to care and management have sacrificed a lot for the love of the residents that reside at The Firs.

Lovely staff, very pleasant, always happy to chat with the residents. Feels more like family really than carers. Mom is very settled. The rooms are nice. Food is once; Mom says can't grumble. Activities are put on to keep everyone busy and occupied. We love seeing all the photos and videos; it keeps
us connected. Thank you all so much for allowing visits to start.

Victoria Harvey has been a cornerstone of The Firs since 2008, showing unwavering commitment to its residents. When Northgate purchased the home, Victoria was already the manager, a role in which she has excelled by ensuring the highest quality of care and a warm, welcoming environment for all.


Victoria’s dedication to the well-being of her residents is evident in every aspect of her work. She goes above and beyond to ensure each individual feels valued and cared for, nurturing a strong sense of community at The Firs. Her long tenure at the home is a testament to her deep passion and love for what she does, continuously proving that high standards of care and genuine connection go hand in hand
