View Full Details of Hammerwich Hall Care HomeMy mother has been a resident at Hammerwich Hall care home for around 9 months now and I am truly grateful for the wonderful care she's receiving. She has dementia, amongst many other health conditions, and needs a lot of support however, I have actually seen such an improvement in her health and well-being since she's been here. Her mobility and appetite have improved, and the staff are incredibly caring and attentive. I can't thank them enough for the difference they've made to her life and ours.
My mother has been in the facility since March 2024. Although physically well and mobile, she suffers from dementia and is now unable to live alone. The staff at Hammerwich are always smiling and welcoming, exactly the environment that my mother needs. Any phonecalls are answered promptly and the staff always do their best to answer any questions quickly and efficiently. The recent appointment of the manager, has been wonderful! He is extremely passionate and enthusiastic about his role and encourages ideas and interaction between the home, residents and their families. The amount of activities has been increased and the residents are benefitting a lot. There are also plans to refurbish parts of the building, although it is a beautiful place already, elegant yet homely and the gardens are very nice. My mother used to love gardening and at Hammerwich she can continue the hobby she loved. Thank you to the staff at Hammerwich!
How lucky we are to have Dad in Hammerwich Hall. It is such a pleasure to visit him whenever we want. Dad has settled in well, with the Manager and staff team being friendly and welcoming. Their communication is very good - Dad is well cared for and changes are made to accommodate his needs. The home is well presented. It is clean and thoughtfully decorated for each event/theme day. There is a weekly programme of varied activities, in which visitors can also take part. Regular meetings take place with residents and relatives. All areas of care including catering, cleaning, laundry etc. are superb. My parents were given a lovely anniversary lunch recently, attention to detail on decoration of the tea room and the menu. Such special memories created. A lovely, quiet and rural location, we highly recommend Hammerwich Hall.
My mom has been living at hammerwich for the last 10 months. Mom feels safe and treated with respect. The staff always have time for each and every person and most importantly get to know them as an individual. My mom is unable to communicate clearly but all the staff always take time to try and give her time so they can understand what she needs. Families are treated with respect and included in any decisions that help support their relative. This home is a happy home.
My aunt is very well cared for and kept comfortable. The whole team are very attentive and the family have peace of mind knowing that she is in a safe & friendly environment. There are activities every day which are inclusive, but if they choose not to participate then that is acceptable too.
Mom has been here three times now for respite, whilst we are on holiday and her latest stay (last week) was just as good as always! She was made to feel very welcome by everyone; residents and staff alike, which makes for a lovely, happy atmosphere. The rooms are nice and comfortable and clean and food was good. Mom enjoyed taking part in the activities, which really helped to make her stay even more enjoyable. We can heartily recommend Hammerwich Hall Care Home and Mom is already booked in for her next stay.
Activities are really good and we have joined in with a few as well, enjoyed the bingo and a picnic, Mom has settled in really well and now eating better and putting on weight Staff are always friendly and accommodating
I would like to thank all the staff for their care to myself and my family. The care is very good with all staff kind and cheerful. The home is immaculate always being cleaned. I appreciate the laundry staff and the effort they make with my clothes. I enjoy living in Hammerwich Hall and a special thanks to the managers.
Very helpful staff. Very friendly.
My sister has been a resident here for 6 weeks. I've found the staff to be very kind and friendly. I think the only problem she's experienced is being kept waiting when needing the toilet. Mainly due to a shortage of staff. Would recommend this home to anyone who asks.
Found to be a good home. My friend is very comfortable.
Exceptional staff proving fantastic care always kind and caring. Great range of activities provided on a daily basis. Cannot praise the team enough thankyou to you all for being such a great team proving exceptional care.

Staff at Hammerwich Hall are very caring and professional. My friend has been a resident here for 12 months and has settled really well. Thank you.
My nan is at this home and receives the most amazing care and affection from the staff. The care staff go above and beyond and the management team are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this home to anyone who is worried about putting their loved ones into care as they make you feel at ease and safe that this care will be provided. The food is hit and miss but again they will provide anything that is requested. The activities coordinator is always full of smiles, approachable and makes everyone's day.
My father recently returned from a 3 weeks stay at Hammerwick. From our first contact with the home to the day I collected him from the home, everything went swimmingly. Even when my father had to briefly return to hospital with suspected DVT. Hammerwich dealt with it all very well. The staff are very caring and take the time to really engage with its residents. The setting is rural and quiet too. Would definitely recommend Hammerwich for short stays such as ours offering convalescent care.
I treat this as my mum's home, it's local to me. The staff are lovely and friendly. My mum feels safe.
My mother has been a resident here for two months and settled in well. All the staff are friendly and caring. There is a welcoming atmosphere, and it feels like an extended happy family. My mother has occasionally required some additional health care input since arriving, and this has been dealt with promptly, and I've been kept informed about the outcome. My mother has always been treated with respect and in a sensitive manner. I feel free to visit whenever I can and know that I can approach staff about any concerns, which have always been responded to. They have put a lot of effort into ensuring my mother's room is comfortable and adjusted to meet her needs. There are a lot of stimulating events taking place during the week, along with special festival celebrations. Overall, the family are very happy with the excellent care provided at Hammerwich Hall.
I cannot thank the staff at Hammerwich Hall Care Home enough for the way they looked after Mum during her time there. She really enjoyed her stay.
