Mum lived in St Mary's Nursing Home for 6 years, from 2019 until she died in June 2025. The carers were very kind and supportive of Mum. She was always able to have a nice laugh with them and even if she wasn't feeling good they were kind to her. I felt she was well looked after in St Mary's.

My mother lived at St Mary's for six years until her death in June 2025. My brother and sister in law visited fifteen nursing homes before selecting St Mary's, which they saw as the stand out choice. I have never doubted that choice.
Mum arrived in a physically fragile state and there is no
question that St Mary's brought her back to life - we owe the staff a real debt of gratitude. She became, once more, happy, lively and contented. She was very well cared for, which was important as she had multiple disabilities. St Mary's offered real community, with chatter and activities, which Mum had missed whilst still at home. From my perspective, it was great to be able to visit her any time. The carers were always so welcoming and helpful, offering tea and cakes, making suggestions and answering questions. St Mary's was well staffed and I felt that this made it a good place to work as well as to live. I whole-heartedly recommend the home.

My mum recently spent 11 wonderful months living in St Mary's Nursing Home.
During this time, it became her home in every sense of the word, and thus it became an extension of our family home too. All our family were warmly welcomed, and offered refreshment whenever we visited, mum's great
grandchildren had a drawer in her room where they kept some toys , and frequently we would find crayons or Thomas the Tank engine which staff had discovered under the bed!
From every member of the team at St Mary's we have been met with the utmost respect, professionalism, love, laughter and a level of care beyond measure.
As a family, we feel blessed that mum spent her final months surrounded by such love and excellent care.

St Mary's Care Home - Stone, is a very special place. It isn't a vast, showy place that brazenly shouts its glory across the rooftops: it is a comfortable, welcoming place that excuses a friendly, caring, nurturing atmosphere. It is clear that all staff care. They go above and beyond each and every
day. They want all of their residents to feel safe and cared for...and loved. The management staff were so very welcoming, open and transparent. The initial tour gave access to all areas of the building, and a clear, honest overview of the care we could expect for my aunt.
And, I was disappointed. During her stay, my aunt felt safe, relaxed and was treated with such respect and kindness. She fully retained her own character and personality, and most importantly, her dignity.
We cannot thank the wonderful team at St Mary's enough. They do a remarkable job caring for those who are vulnerable and in need of quality care and kindness in their later years. Thank you to you all.

Our Mum went into St. Mary's 10-months ago, during the lockdown. Because of all the restrictions and safety guidelines, we have not been able to visit Mum as much as we would have liked. However, the caring staff at St Mary's have done an absolutely amazing job of keeping the whole family up to date
with Mum's care. The organisational work that the activities coordinators have achieved has been fantastic. They have organised Skype calls, video calls, outdoor and indoor visits (following all the safety guidelines), a truly monumental task. We, as a family, are extremely grateful. I have been involved in the Zoom meetings with the care team and the clinical commissioning group and been able to have an input in discussions about Mum's continuing care. We are very happy with the care, love and attention Mum has received from everyone at St Mary's. Mum seems very content and happy, and we couldn't ask for more. On behalf of all the family, we would like to say a big thank you.
