Rock Cottage care home in Brown Edge, is where my mum spent the last few months of her life, after being in the care system for approximately three years, with vascular dementia. If only she had met the criteria to go here from the beginning. The home has such a friendly welcoming atmosphere with
lots of interaction with residents and families. I heard a phrase on a number of occasions spoken by the carers ( we treat these people as if they are our own) and I can certainly vouch for that. The care given to my mum in my opinion was exceptional and I will never forget the senior carer who showed her such empathy and compassion in her final days. We as a family will remain forever grateful for the care compassion and empathy shown to my mum, whilst in their care. If I did have to say anything negative, maybe the home could benefit from some refurbishment, the hot water and central heating never seemed to work properly. However the care and staff are exceptional.
