View Full Details of Quinton House Nursing HomeWe appreciate Mum's advanced dementia is difficult to manage and we remain amazed at the patience and resilience of the staff in managing her and all the Daisy Ward residents. Mum has a lovely room, and we note the persistence of the staff in managing nutritional intake, which is challenging for Mum. Our visits rarely coincide with activities so we cannot comment on those, but note that auxiliary bills etc. are now arriving regularly now records have been updated.
Quinton House has been my husband's home for 18 months. He has generally been well cared for and his needs met. He has always complained about the food and eats very little of what is offered. He was not in a good physical condition when he arrived there but this has improved due to the care offered.
I cannot say how pleased and happy I am with Quinton House Nursing Home. Nothing is ever too much of a problem. And the food is excellent. Keep up the good work. I will always have fond memories.
From the first time of coming into Quinton House Nursing Home I got a feeling of relief, the management and staff were very kind and caring but also very professional and my husband relaxed straight away. They are all very well-trained and treated him with care and dignity. My husband is very happy there and could not be living in a better place. They have plenty of activities and are kept busy and stimulated and also have a lovely garden to go in. An excellent nursing home. I am so pleased.
The staff are exceptionally attentive, polite, courteous and caring. The home is immaculately clean.
I am very pleased and grateful with the quality of care that my husband is receiving in Quinton House Nursing Home. The level of his dementia is such that he cannot take part in the activities but there is something every day to interest and involve the residents. Even so, staff stop to talk to him and show care and consideration for him and for other residents. The carers are always cheerful and approachable and make very good cups of tea!
I am unable to visit my friend regularly now so it is difficult to complete the ratings below but this review gives me no option. My friend seems quite happy in the home and has relaxed relationships with the staff. However, her mobility has deteriorated significantly lsince she now has to spend all her days in the lounge for safety reasons. I'm not sure how much she hears or sees because she doesn't wear her hearing aids or spectacles, which she needs coaxing to do.
My mother has been at Quinton House for 7 months now. She has advanced dementia and has complex needs. I cannot fault the care she receives. Quinton House exceeds my expectations. The staff go the extra mile to make it a nurturing and homely environment, with plenty of appropriate and relevant activities to enjoy. She is always warm, clean and smiling whenever I go to see her. Staff are brilliant with me and Mum's young Grandchildren (aged 3 and 1) when we visit. I have complete peace of mind that Mum is safe, incredibly well cared for, and has plenty of added value to her life, despite all of the challenges she faces due to her dementia. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have done for Mum and my family.
My friend has been in Quinton House for almost 18 months. The care received has been marvellous and whilst obviously suffering with memory issues her overall health has improved. This is down to the care and dedication of the whole team at Quinton. She is so well looked after by the staff in every way and when visiting it is clear to see that the whole staff treat her wonderfully well and also that she has a great connection with them. Prior to Quinton House my friend was not safe at home but now we have peace of mind that she is safe and well. The activities are very well organised so as to keep the residents occupied and there are always new things to stimulate them. The garden is a wonderful place where you can walk round and enjoy the view and again new projects involving the residents are always taking place. I would like to congratulate the whole team for their care and hard work and would recommend Quinton House Nursing Home to anyone.
We have been really happy with the care provided to date. My husband had been very unwell prior to moving to Quinton House. He had been physically unwell and his dementia was very unstable. Whilst it did take a while for him to settle, he now appears to be so much more content and we are even seeing signs of his old self now, funny and just more relaxed. The staff have supported him with getting back on his feet and he is always immaculately clean and well groomed. There are a handful of exceptional staff that appear to go above and beyond. They give him time, talk to him, laugh with him and have really taken the time to get to know him. This has meant a lot to us as a family at such a heartbreaking time.
My mother has been a resident at Quinton House for over a year and a half. She is suffering from advanced Dementia and is unable to do anything for herself. The staff at Quinton House do such a wonderful job looking after her, they are kind, compassionate, respectful, professional and always friendly to me and my family when we visit. I feel that despite Mum's very sad and awful condition, she is in the best possible place and I can't thank them enough.
My mother has been at quinton house for 7months now, my family and I are extremely happy with the care she receives, the staff are friendly, welcoming, luv my mum and they show it in so many ways, I consider myself lucky to have found quinton house, it gives me peace of mind to know she is safe and well cared for, keep up the good work to all the staff I appreciate your dedication to looking after vulnerable people in our community thank you.
Although my father has not been a resident for long it is clear that all of the staff at Quinton house have the qualities needed to care for him. Even though he struggles on a daily basis their compassion, respect and commitment to providing a family environment is evident. The care that they provide gives me the peace of mind to continue to live my life knowing that my fathers needs are being met. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Quinton house to anyone looking at a care home
After nearly 30 months as a resident at Quinton Gardens the friendly family environment has allowed my wife to settle and be well supported as she continues to live with Alzheimer's. I have complete confidence in the ability of the staff to tend to her increasing needs and of the management team in supporting the staff to deliver the best of care in a secure way. Nothing is perfect in such a difficult environment but the management team, both medical and administrative are always available and prepared to listen too and act on concerns or constructive criticism. The support teams are ever present and responsive to the needs of residents in their care. Housekeeping, Activity coordinators, Catering team and the Maintenance and Grounds team are all involved in creating such a comfortable and pleasant establishment that provides excellent and expert care.
My husband has been in Quinton House & Gardens Nursing Home for over 5 years, and throughout all this time his care has been exemplary. He is looked after with love, dignity and the greatest of care. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and the atmosphere is like one big happy family. Although I worry about him all the time as his condition deteriorates, I never have to worry about the care that he is receiving.
My mother's birthday is 1st January her only wish was to see all her 7 children being New Year we were struggling to find a venue, on telling the manager she suggested we have a party at the care home. On arrival we found conservatory had been decorated for us for mums Birthday and party food spread on the tables with drinks and of course the Birthday cake with candles were provided. This was done as a gift to us and my mum. Needless to say my mum had her wish meet and had a great Birthday. This is not the first time the care home have put themselves out to provide individual requests for my mum's quality of life.
I find the staff at Quinton House to be caring and kind, also very supportive to me. They always call to advise me of any problems (which are very few) but they also call to advise when my godfathers needs change or medication needs to be reviewed. They have worked tirelessly to get his skin condition right to make him as comfortable as possible. I have complete confidence in them. To the extent of getting him a bed that suits his needs.
Can't fault the care mum receives at Quinton House - she is very happy there, and constantly says so! She always looks clean and tidy and is thriving under their care. Visits are always welcomed and without booking an appointment, which makes it so easy to drop in at any time.
My mum has fairly recently arrived at Quinton House and has settled in very well. She has been treated with care and kindness by all the staff. The facilities are good, it is very clean and comfortable.
The care provided by Quinton House continues to be excellent. My mother is treated with dignity and respect and also with friendliness and warmth. We have been very pleased with the standard of care provided and are confident that my mother is being looked after very well. My only plea is for better communication with residents' families - it would be so good to go back to getting regular newsletters and the schedules of activities.
