This is a wonderful care home, but it is in great need of modernisation
unfortunately the residents with dementia and those without are not kept separate, thus the non dementia patients seem to be demoralised and annoyed at them! - my parents insisted on leaving the home
The food is 100% top
class. The staff and carers are also 100% committed, extremely helpful and happy to assist at any time, nothing is too small to ask for
it was a shame the bar was never opened as it was a great selling feature for my Dad on his initial walkaround
Would I recommend ... yes the staff are wonderful, the food is second to none, remember though it is quite tired for the amount of money they charge. which I believe is horrendous ... families save hard and end up selling up and giving it to the care-homes or government.

The Meadows took Mum in after Dad died, initially for respite as he was her carer and she has vascular dementia. This has turned into a permanent residency. I can't speak highly enough of the experience she is having at the home, especially considering the seriousness of her disease. Despite having
little memory, Mum is very active and social and the varied activities and events on offer are fantastic; she is always up to something fun, healthy or enriching in some way. The team at the home are caring and kind and have adapted her care plan as and when is needed. They've brought the doctor in when they have been concerned about changes in behaviour, they keep us up to date about anything important and the food looks incredible.
Mum continually tells me how much she loves it at the home and how lucky she feels to be there. The staff really seem to go above and beyond to care for their residents. The social media page is also a great comfort with updates and photos of the residents.

After a fall at home, hospital admissions in Coventry and Rugby, Mum was transferred to The Meadows for six weeks recuperation.
From day one we could see that she would be well looked after by kind and professional staff.
Although mum's a small eater, we were impressed by the variety on the menu
and despite her choosing to have small portions, we felt that she was being well fed. The aroma from the kitchen always made us feel hungry!
There was numerous activities going on during her stay and the grandchildren particularly enjoyed the Dog Show Fun Day.
Really impressed by The Meadows. Thank you for looking after her so well.

After a fall , we needed care & cannot praise the care staff at Thurlaston Meadows highly enough. They were ALL without exception kind, caring & willing to do anything needed.
The food was perfectly acceptable & nicely served. The catering staff who took our requests were kindness itself.
Sadly the Housekeeping staff let the side down somewhat but overall we had a pleasant two weeks stay.

I have been visiting Thurlaston Meadow care home for over 8 years, firstly when my fathers cousin was a resident until she died and the last time was visiting a very dear friend. At all times I have been impressed with the very high standards of the home. The care and attention the residents receive
is outstanding and there is always a very happy atmosphere.

offered. Many thanks to you all.

My aunt was with Thurlaston Meadows Care Home for 6 weeks, over that time we see a great improvement in her.
She was eating well, which she hadn't been. The staff were so kind to her, and friendly. I do feel she would have been quite happy to have been a permanent resident.

My mother was very happy during her 12-month stay in Thurlaston Meadows Care Home, nothing was too much trouble for the staff who are compassionate and helpful at all times. Lots of activities were organised and a real effort was made to keep the residents motivated and to make their stay in the
home safe and comfortable. Mum always looked very well presented and really enjoyed the delicious home-cooked food at the home. During my mother's final weeks in the care home before she passed away, the palliative care she received was uncompromising and gave us all the feeling she was being very well looked after and not alone. We can't thank all the management and staff enough for looking after Mum for the last year of her life, I know she was always very happy in Thurlaston Meadows throughout that time.

Since my aunt has returned into Thurlaston Meadows Care Home she has returned back to her previous pre-hospital self. Since the pandemic she has suffered badly healthwise, especially being in hospital for a good proportion of the last 12 months. Her newfound brightness and enjoyment of life again is
incredible to see, this is purely down to her fantastic care at Thurlaston. In the last three weeks she has mixed more, joined in activities and actually been out on trips more than the whole of the last four years. The staff are amazing.

My mother is so happy and settled at Thurlaston and speaks very highly indeed of ALL the staff. We could not be more delighted with how well she has settled in and appreciate the outstanding care and support she is getting. Many thanks to all the staff, we hope they know how much their effort is
appreciated by our Mother and the rest of the family. Thank you very much indeed.

I spent a week at Thurlaston Meadows recuperating from major surgery. It's in a small quiet village overlooking open countryside. My individual en suite room was pleasantly furnished and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the electrically operated rise and fall bed, new TV, adequate wardrobe
space and comfortable chair with footstool. All staff were caring, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. There seemed to be adequate numbers of staff at all times. I was very grateful that they were able to pick me up from the hospital in a vehicle equipped with ramps and a wheelchair on hand. There were several choices for each meal and portion sizes were generous. My only minor quibble was the very early dinner time (5-5:30) but can understand the challenges of serving so many people and that this tends to be normal practice in the care sector. Overall a satisfactory experience and I would highly recommend this place for anyone in similar circumstances.

My mum was admitted to hospital with severe dehydration and was very poorly. Also, she has dementia. She went to Thurlaston on a discharge to assess for five weeks. The care she received was outstanding and turned Mum's life around. She was walking better, sleeping better - a totally different
person and able to take part in activities during the day ie Bingo, quizzes and dominoes. All the staff made Mum feel very welcome and cared for and gave her a meaningful hug on departure. Thank you to everyone who helped Mum onto a better future.

I am writing this review as I feel that the staff and service providers at Thurlaston Meadows deserve recognition for the wonderful service that they provide. My brother and I were both sceptical about our father going into a care home and we had our reservations as to whether it was a good idea or
not however when our father went into Thurlaston Meadows he was welcomed by all and treated with kindness and dignity in a warm clean friendly environment. The care staff should be recognised for their constant support they always tried to encourage our father to join in the many activities on offer many of which he enjoyed. Our father passed away in December and the staff continued to be helpful and support to us at a difficult time. I do not write reviews as a rule but in this instance, I am happy to do so.
