The Review Score of 9.4 (maximum of 10) for The Warwickshire Nursing & Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 17 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for The Warwickshire Nursing & Residential Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.401 for The Warwickshire Nursing & Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (93 Excellents x 5) + (83 Goods x 4) + (16 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 192 Ratings = 4.401

A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Warwickshire Nursing & Residential Home is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4

    2. Target of 9.2 positive Reviews (46 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 14 Reviews ÷ 9.2 Target Reached = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Staff were friendly and kind to my Mother.
The home was clean and efficiently run in a period of my mother's life that need expertise and kindness.
The staff were always willing to help when called upon. Nothing was too much for them.
Management formulated a care plan which was altered as my Mothers condition changed.
The homes Doctor was called to my Mother due to her medical needs.
The grounds of the home are beautifully kept. Although she was in no fit state to go out she enjoyed looking out, as Gardening was one of her favourite pass times.
There are plenty of activities for residents to join in if they so wish.

We thank you for continually supporting the care home all through the years. Your positive input shall be greatly appreciated so we can improve our services better. We look forward to seeing you again and hope you shall be able to join us on our Care Home Open Day on June 16 and the Summer Fete on the 5th of August.

A lovely home in a quiet village location with beautiful countryside surrounding it. A warm welcome on every visit from the receptionists and from staff. The atmosphere in the home is very relaxing, warm and homely. Any concerns or questions to ask, the staff are straight onto it. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The domestic staff do a great job.

The staff at The Warwickshire Nursing & Residential Home were all extremely friendly, caring, attentive to my uncle and me. His suite was beautifully furnished and overlooked the extensive gardens and terrace. The food was varied and appealing with a good choice. There were many events organised, regular outside entertainers provided for the residents' enjoyment.

Good ratio of staff to patients. Generally a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere and residents are always treated kindly.

The home tries hard to encourage relatives and friends to be involved in social events, but the uptake is often disappointing.

The staff right from the receptionist, cleaners, kitchen staff, carers and the nurses (day and night) were all exceptionally approachable, friendly and very professional. It was like home from home. From the beginning of Moms stay until the end. Upon Moms arrival everybody who was working that day came into her room and introduced themselves which I found to be very warm and welcoming. I never had any regrets about moving Mom to the Warwickshire other than Mom, who loved her room and the view, passed away too quickly.

My father was a resident and the care and support he received was next to none. The kitchen provided a varied menu and the food was excellent. You were welcome to visit at any time and always offered refreshments. They also put on various events throughout the year which were also excellent.

Warwickshire Residential and Nursing Home always presents a very positive, caring, welcoming and relaxing environment - typified by a comment made to me by one of the senior nursing staff "... I cannot physically look after my own parents because they live back in my own home country, so I care for the residents here as though they were my parents".

A caring friendly home. Nursing and carers excellent. The management take an active interest in the running of the home and encourage residents to raise any suggestions or complaints which they listen to and get act on to improve. A new chef/caterer has been appointed and will join the home soon, the ain being to raise the standard of menus and food generally. This is not to say the food has been poor but there is room for improvement, hence my giving food and drink "satisfactory".
